Boom!
Dust and debris flew everywhere as Doomsday's massive body crashed heavily to the ground.
A golden rope was wrapped tightly around its neck, with Diana bracing herself on a protruding piece of rubble, pulling the Lasso of Truth taut with both hands.
Doomsday struggled violently, trying to break free, but Superman was relentless, attacking with furious blows. Each time Doomsday tried to release its heat vision, Superman was there to counter, pushing it back.
At this point, Superman's strength had undeniably doubled.
"It's all thanks to the underwear!" Su Sheng nodded to himself, snapping pictures of Superman. "It's almost over. Once Batman gets the kryptonite weapon, Doomsday's finished. After all, this Doomsday isn't the same as the one from the comics. Its power is different; even if it evolves, it shouldn't reach the peak level it did in the comics, where it could resist Darkseid's Omega Beams and evolve Omega resistance, forcing Darkseid to seek Superman's help. And there's no way it can evolve into its full form with the ability to spawn sun-destroying spores."
Doomsday spores were truly terrifying, capable of devouring all life around them and using that vitality to continuously grow. Even if its body was destroyed, it could parasitize others, consuming its host to resurrect itself.
Such a Doomsday could essentially ignore death from the moment it was created!
Su Sheng had also heard General Swanwick's earlier words. Since they had figured out Doomsday, Lex Luthor should have been captured by now, right? Su Sheng couldn't help but feel a sense of achievement—Superman's red underwear had gone viral, he had met Wonder Woman Diana, witnessed the future Green Lantern being tragically struck down, and given the U.S. military and government something to fear. Not a bad day's work!
Not to mention, Superman would likely take issue with General Swanwick later. Su Sheng's anger at Swanwick was just another tool to keep the U.S. military on edge.
Do more than one thing, make a lot of money!
"I wonder if Superman will die with Doomsday like in the movie. I did give Batman a heads-up; hopefully, he'll do something about it. After all, if Superman dies, things would get a lot less fun. And making sure he doesn't die unjustly... now that's interesting!" Su Sheng mused, relishing the challenge of finding amusement in all of this.
"Are you really fast?" Batman asked The Flash again, holding the kryptonite spear.
The Flash nodded, his nerves still on edge.
"This kryptonite is highly dangerous to Kryptonians. I need you to pierce Doomsday with this spear as fast as possible and then get Superman out of there. Can you do it?" Batman asked, his gaze steady as he looked at the anxious Flash. "Fear isn't a bad thing; everyone gets scared. But remember, fear gives us the chance to confront it, to be brave!"
Batman's words hit home for The Flash. Every time he faced adversity, he needed that push to find the courage to fight back. The Flash gripped the kryptonite spear tightly, his resolve hardening as he looked at Doomsday, restrained but still unscathed.
With a determined nod, The Flash activated the Speed Force, yellow lightning crackling around him as he sped towards Doomsday.
"Superman, get out of the way!" The Flash shouted, driving the kryptonite spear deep into Doomsday's heart.
At that moment, Superman's face contorted in pain, and he collapsed, his strength drained.
Swish!
The Flash grabbed Superman and pulled him away, glancing back at Doomsday. But Doomsday didn't die; instead, it became even more monstrous.
"Not good!"
The Flash started to move, but Wonder Woman was faster. She leaped into the air, landing on Doomsday with a powerful strike.
With her right hand, she drove the Sword of Vulcan into Doomsday's arm, and with her left, she used her shield to deflect Doomsday's other hand. Releasing the sword, she seized the kryptonite spear and thrust it deeper.
Hoo hoo hoo hoo!
Doomsday roared in agony, its arm shattering, falling lifeless to its side.
Had it died?
Wonder Woman and the others cautiously approached the fallen creature. When they saw no signs of movement, they knew it was over.
Doomsday was dead!
Huh! The Flash exhaled in relief, collapsing onto the ground as Batman walked over to retrieve the kryptonite spear.
Zzzip!
Superman ripped off his red underwear, casting a cold glance toward the Disciple before rocketing into the sky. He had to save his mother, Martha!
"No, we can't let him go off like this."
Batman frowned and turned to The Flash. "Can you still run? We need to catch up with him."
"No problem!" The Flash replied, grabbing Batman as they chased after Superman.
One flew, the other ran.
The Flash soon realized he couldn't keep up with Superman, especially with the extra weight.
On the now flattened battlefield, Doomsday's body lay still, while the sound of passionate music echoed in the air. Diana leaped back onto the Disciple, knocking on the glass to get Su Sheng's attention.
Su Sheng emerged with a smile, camera in hand.
"Turn off the music," Diana said, her voice tinged with embarrassment. Although she liked the music and felt it heightened her fighting spirit, now that the battle was over, she felt it was a bit much.
"I'm going to challenge you!"
"This time, I will defeat you!" Diana declared, her tone resolute.
"Now?"
"Now!"
"Alright!" Su Sheng chuckled and descended.
Diana jumped down, her slender legs gracefully touching the ground.
With her shield in hand, the Sword of Vulcan at the ready, and the Lasso of Truth at her waist, Su Sheng couldn't help but admire her battle-ready form, enhanced by the music still playing.
"I've decided—you must always have this BGM playing when you fight in the future! I can't get enough of it!" Su Sheng said seriously.
Diana smiled, and with a swift motion, she swung the Sword of Vulcan like a gust of wind.
Su Sheng dodged effortlessly, but Diana pressed her attack.
The passionate music, accompanied by the strong beat of the drums, fueled Diana's ferocity, her eyes narrowing in focus. Her sharp, delicate features were filled with a captivating intensity as she continued her assault.
