"Found it."
As Gideon transformed into a map, marking a specific location, Su Sheng rolled off Lois Lane's lap and sat up.
"Keep writing your article. I'm heading out."
"That's... the Indian Ocean? How are you going to get there so quickly?" Lois Lane recognized the location instantly, despite only getting a quick glance.
"By running," Su Sheng replied.
"Running?"
Lois Lane assumed he was joking, but when a flash of yellow lightning surrounded him, and he vanished in an instant, her mouth dropped open in shock.
Su Sheng raced across the map, his speed sending ripples through the Indian Ocean as he approached his destination.
"Here it is."
He abruptly halted, tapped his bracelet, donned his battle suit, and plunged into the ocean.
The water was crystal clear as he began to dive, but the deeper he went, the darker it became. Schools of fish swam around him, creating an ambiance reminiscent of an aquarium. Deep within the sea, nestled between rocks and sediment, Su Sheng gently brushed aside the sand, revealing a faint green glow.
Kryptonite!
"There's quite a bit of it," Su Sheng chuckled, removing his suit. A powerful, invisible force suddenly surged, pushing the seawater back from him, creating a vacuum zone around the kryptonite.
Using his element control abilities, he manipulated the rocks and sediment, sending the kryptonite through a wormhole to his villa in Central City.
"Gideon, have them store the kryptonite."
"Understood," Gideon responded, initiating the process.
On the ocean floor, Su Sheng continued to move from one spot to another, causing the water to recede each time as he uncovered more kryptonite. After about half an hour, he had collected it all. Satisfied, Su Sheng donned his battle suit again and shot out of the ocean with a splash.
An hour later, Su Sheng was back at Lois Lane's apartment.
He deactivated his suit as he entered through the wall using his Speed Force. In the room, Lois Lane had just finished posting her article online, signing her name with a flourish. She understood the potential consequences, but if the story were true, Superman would come to her, right? That would confirm the existence of aliens.
"Did you post it?" Su Sheng's voice startled her as he appeared behind her.
Lois Lane nearly jumped out of her chair. "You... you're back already?"
Su Sheng nodded and leaned over to look at the article on her computer. He had to admit, Lois Lane was a brilliant reporter—she had managed to make even the driest content read like a compelling novel.
"Did you find what you were looking for?" Lois Lane asked.
"Of course."
Although he couldn't be certain if kryptonite would appear again in the future, he now had most of it in his possession. Su Sheng walked over to the sofa and sat down, ready to wait for the show to begin.
"Huh? The article has been deleted!"
Lois Lane exclaimed in surprise. The story that had just been online was now gone, and the entire website had been shut down after a few refreshes.
"It's probably the work of ARGUS," Su Sheng muttered.
Only ARGUS would be monitoring alien-related content so closely. Given the details Lois Lane had written, it was no surprise they discovered it immediately. Deleting the post and blocking the site were standard procedures for them.
Sure enough, Su Sheng's phone rang shortly after.
It was Amanda Waller.
"You told Lois Lane about the Kryptonians?" Amanda Waller didn't bother with pleasantries.
"Yes."
"How could you share such crucial information with a reporter and allow it to be posted online? You're going to—"
"Shh, just have the news unlocked again," Su Sheng interrupted.
"Do you realize the panic this could cause?" Amanda Waller's voice rose in frustration.
"I'm waiting for him to show up," Su Sheng replied coolly.
Amanda Waller paused, processing his words. "Are you sure?"
"Beep... beep... beep..." The call ended abruptly.
Amanda Waller stared at her phone for a long time before making a decision. "Unlock the news. Find Lois Lane's location and prepare the highest level of response."
The site was quickly restored, and the article reappeared.
In no time, the story's views and comments skyrocketed. Lois Lane's reputation in journalism was solid, and soon, the article was being shared across the internet. Discussions about aliens, Kryptonians, and Superman flooded every corner of the web.
Lois Lane placed her laptop on the coffee table and engaged in conversation with Su Sheng while keeping an eye on the growing number of comments. With nothing else to do, Su Sheng lay back down on her lap, continuing their chat. Although Lois Lane was annoyed by his cheeky behavior, she endured it, eager to learn more from him.
But Su Sheng's antics didn't stop there.
"What are you doing?!" Lois Lane shouted, outraged, as she slapped his hands away from her chest.
"I'm bored," Su Sheng muttered, using his mind control. Lois Lane's expression shifted as she removed her bra with the deft skill that only women possess. She pulled it out from under her clothes, tossed it aside, and sat back down, compliant and silent.
Su Sheng indulged himself for a while, enjoying her frustration. As the night fell and the lights in the distant tall buildings flickered on, Su Sheng suddenly sat up.
"He's coming!"
With her mind control lifted, Lois Lane regained control of her body. She shot an angry glare at Su Sheng, who ignored her, focusing instead on the window.
Outside, under the night sky, a figure floated in the air.
Clad in a blue suit that clung to a body of steel, with a red cape billowing in the wind, was Superman.
"Is that... is that Superman?" Lois Lane asked in awe as she gazed at the man hovering outside the window.
"Yeah, but something's off," Su Sheng frowned, scrutinizing Superman. "Oh, that's it—he's missing the red trunks!"
"What kind of Superman doesn't wear underwear on top?!"
