The Rainbow Raider had once managed to mess with The Flash in the show, making him lose his composure and causing him to flee in a desperate attempt to regain control. It took Reverse Flash to figure out how to bring Barry back to his senses before things got worse. The Rainbow Raider's ability to incite anger in others was powerful—if a group of superpowered individuals turned against each other, it could cause absolute chaos. His ability was even more dangerous than others like it, making him a formidable foe.
But unfortunately for him, he crossed paths with Su Sheng.
Unlike Barry Allen, who always hesitated to kill and sought non-lethal ways to stop criminals, Su Sheng had no such qualms. With his knowledge of the Rainbow Raider's abilities, Su Sheng quickly and efficiently eliminated him.
When Barry Allen returned to the lab and heard what had happened, Su Sheng was already gone, sporting his newly colored suit.
"He shouldn't have killed him," Barry Allen finally said after a long silence.
Cisco shrugged. "I feel the same way, but I have to admit, his efficiency is off the charts. Five minutes? No, it only took two or three minutes to handle it."
Barry opened his mouth to respond but couldn't find the words.
After all, he was used to being bested by the villain at the start of every episode, only to find a way to win by the end.
Su Sheng, now in his freshly styled suit, descended from the sky, drawing amazement from Laura and Thea. The suit's ability to shrink into a bracelet when not in use was particularly astonishing. Laura hesitated, but Thea was quick to speak up.
"This is so cool! Can I get a set?"
"Sure, when you can beat Laura, I'll make you one," Su Sheng replied casually before heading over to check on Caitlin Snow.
Her progress was impressive—she had overcome several major hurdles, though resolving the side effects would take more time.
After discussing the progress, Su Sheng decided to make a set of steel armor for Laura, still riding the high of his good mood. He used the original red and gold design, integrating nano-scale technology with the Reverse Flash's glass energy source, making Laura's suit powerful enough to combat metahumans. Laura was so excited that she came to Su Sheng's room early that evening, leaving Thea to sulk back to her own room.
Laura's newfound assertiveness gave Su Sheng a fresh experience, but the next morning, Laura felt like her body had been put through the wringer. Thea, seizing the opportunity, challenged Laura in hopes of earning her own suit. But despite her enthusiasm, Thea was still a novice, and Laura, a seasoned superhero, easily handled her.
Five or six days passed in the blink of an eye.
During this time, Caitlin Snow remained aboard the Disciple, diligently working on the speed serum by day and resting in her room at night. Su Sheng only spent the first night with her; after that, he left her alone. Killer Frost didn't make another appearance, and Caitlin remained unaware of her other personality's existence.
"Is it ready?" Su Sheng asked, arriving at the lab with anticipation after receiving a message from Caitlin.
"The data suggests it's successful, but it hasn't been tested yet," Caitlin replied, holding a vial of red speed serum. "This could be called... Velocity 9!"
"We'll find out soon enough," Su Sheng said, taking the serum and an injection gun. Before Caitlin could say anything, he disappeared.
At the Mercury Labs building, Eliza Harmon was working on an experiment in a small lab. She was alone, but she kept muttering to herself as if talking to someone else. Eliza was a short woman with glasses and a scientist's demeanor, but despite her qualifications, she was not well-regarded in the lab. She was underfunded, underappreciated, and her meek nature meant she never fought for herself. But all this pent-up frustration had given rise to a second personality within her—a personality that was everything she wasn't: destructive, ruthless, and unapologetic.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through the lab, scattering her papers. Eliza bent down to pick them up and, when she stood back up, she saw Su Sheng standing before her.
"Who are you?" she asked, bewildered.
"I'm the one who's going to change your life," Su Sheng replied with a bright smile, grabbing Eliza's arm and injecting the serum into her.
"What... what did you inject me with?" Eliza cried out in horror, clutching her arm as she felt a strange sensation coursing through her.
Su Sheng watched as the Speed Force energy flashed in her eyes.
Panicked, Eliza tried to run out of the lab.
But in the blink of an eye, she found herself outside, far from where she had started.
Eliza looked around in shock. "How... how did I...?"
"Run," Su Sheng said softly, turning to face her.
Eliza was initially confused, but then a sinister smile curled her lips.
Her second personality took over.
In a flash, yellow lightning crackled as Eliza sped down the corridor, her newfound speed sending people and objects flying in her wake.
"The Speed Force energy has definitely increased," Su Sheng noted, feeling the shift in energy within himself as well. He smiled and chased after her.
Eliza Harmon—now Trajectory—was exhilarated by her newfound speed. She raced through the city, leaving chaos in her wake, the thrill of her power intoxicating. The feeling was indescribable; it was as if she had ascended from a mere mortal to a god, from a downtrodden scientist to someone who could have it all.
After about 20 minutes of relentless speed, she suddenly slowed down, stumbling forward before finally coming to a stop.
Her white lab coat and clothes had burned away during her run, but she didn't care. When Su Sheng appeared before her, she wasn't embarrassed or afraid—instead, she eagerly approached him, her eyes burning with desire.
"What do I have to do to keep this power, this speed?" she asked urgently.
