Previously, Barry Allen's Speed Force energy had been absorbed by Su Sheng, causing him to lose his speed. After the Reverse-Flash helped him recover, the Speed Force energy in Barry's cells became more active and powerful, and his speed improved significantly. As Su Sheng watched him run faster and faster, he suddenly made his move.
Whoosh!
Su Sheng followed Barry Allen at a leisurely pace, curious to see how he would cross through time.
It didn't take long for Barry Allen to notice Su Sheng following him. Although surprised, Barry did not stop. Instead, he pushed himself to run even faster. As he ran, he noticed the scenery around him becoming distorted, with countless flashing images surrounding him. This unexpected shift left Barry Allen feeling surprised and disoriented.
Up ahead, a light appeared, as if it were a bright exit.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his shoulder.
Barry Allen, who had been preparing to speed up and rush forward, was startled. Before he could see who had grabbed him, he was yanked back in an instant.
Boom!
Barry Allen crashed heavily onto the ground, quickly turning his head to look at the tsunami roaring toward them. "Why? If I can't stop the tsunami, Central City will be destroyed..."
Before he could finish, he saw Su Sheng walk calmly to the shore.
Facing the massive, roaring waves that seemed ready to engulf the world, Su Sheng exuded a powerful aura of cold. The ground beneath him began to freeze, and the churning seawater instantly solidified, the ice spreading rapidly.
Swish!
In a matter of moments, the surrounding seawater froze solid, the freeze spreading at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Click, click!
Wherever the cold air touched, the sea turned to ice.
In the blink of an eye, the towering tsunami, tens of meters high, was transformed into a solid ice wall.
At a glance, it was as if the world had entered an ice age.
Barry Allen was stunned, staring blankly at the scene before him, dumbfounded. He didn't even hear the frantic calls from Cisco and Caitlin.
"Aren't you going to save the people?" Su Sheng asked, turning back to the still-shocked Barry before leaving with the Black Siren.
Barry Allen snapped out of his daze, quickly getting to his feet. He located the kidnapped Joe West and Mark Mardon. Mardon, unwilling to accept the failure of his well-planned attack, was quickly subdued by Barry Allen before he had a chance to fight back.
The hostages were rescued, the criminal was dealt with, and the disaster that could have destroyed Central City was averted. However, the massive ice wall and frozen sea didn't melt immediately, causing quite an uproar. The frozen tsunami quickly became a novel attraction, drawing many onlookers. It took about half a month for the ice wall to return to normal with the help of the weather and the advanced technology from S.T.A.R. Labs.
After leaving the shore with the Black Siren, Su Sheng casually picked up a few drink bottles and transmuted them into gold, tossing them to her.
"This is the ability of Deathstorm? It's amazing," the Black Siren exclaimed.
"It's called Firestorm here. I already possess this ability," Su Sheng responded nonchalantly. "These should cover your expenses. You can do whatever you like in Central City."
"Does this mean you don't want me to follow you?" The Black Siren nodded, ready to explore this new world and learn about the new Central City.
After parting ways with the Black Siren, Su Sheng returned to his villa.
Inside, Laurel was training Thea on how to exercise. Not wanting to disturb them, Su Sheng headed straight to the Disciple to work on nanoscale technology. With the equations provided by Harrison Wells, the process wasn't too challenging, despite the complexity and rarity of the materials involved. Using the Speed Force, Su Sheng quickly completed the project and successfully reduced the object.
"The equation is correct!" Su Sheng said to himself, satisfied with the result. "I can install this on the Disciple."
However, this was a significant task. The Disciple was large, and its original material was quite special. Even with the speed and craftsmanship Vulcan who upgraded it, it would take considerable time to complete. Su Sheng, however, had little patience for repetitive tasks. If he didn't want to do it himself, he would find someone else to do it!
It would be best if that person was both fast and had some basic knowledge. But there was something he needed to take care of first.
"You're going out so late?" Thea asked, noticing Su Sheng's preparations to leave after nightfall. She had heard the commotion when he returned earlier.
Su Sheng didn't reply. Instead, he disappeared in a flash.
Caitlin Snow's Home
Caitlin Snow, fresh out of the shower, was wearing comfortable pajamas and curled up on the sofa, watching TV. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning flashed, and before she knew it, she found herself standing in a familiar setting—the Disciple. Shocked, she looked around, trying to process what had just happened.
"Am I on the Disciple?" she asked herself in disbelief.
"Help me with a formula," Su Sheng said abruptly.
"Huh?" Caitlin Snow stood up, still in shock. "What formula?"
Su Sheng displayed the Velocity 6 serum formula on the console screen. Caitlin Snow studied it curiously for a moment before gasping in surprise. "This... this is a formula to increase speed! Where did you get this?"
"This formula accelerates cellular aging in ordinary people, and even Speedsters might suffer permanent loss of their speed with prolonged use. I want you to upgrade this formula to eliminate those side effects," Su Sheng explained.
"But... I don't know how to do that."
"No, but you can learn. I'll give you time, though it won't be too long." In the original timeline, Caitlin Snow eventually improved the serum's formula from Velocity 6 to Velocity 9. Although there were still some flaws, Su Sheng believed she could solve them. If she could do it in the future, she could do it now. It just needed some external motivation and focus.
"But I..." Caitlin began to protest, but suddenly, she felt a voice in her mind—a voice that seemed to control her thoughts.
"You know what I can do and what I will do," Su Sheng's voice echoed in her mind, even though his lips hadn't moved. The realization of what was happening made Caitlin Snow panic. She tried to speak, but the words that came out were not her own.
"I will do it," she said against her will.
Caitlin's eyes widened as she regained control of her speech. She stared at Su Sheng, shaken by the experience.
"Controlling your conversation with yourself is quite precise," Su Sheng remarked casually. "Now, hurry up and tell me what you need to start working."
