Although Gideon is an interactive artificial intelligence, it is still just that—artificial intelligence. When Su Sheng inquired about something, it remained silent, unable to provide an answer.
"If you don't respond, I'll take that as consent," Su Sheng chuckled. He walked over and dismantled Gideon, ignoring Caitlin Snow's presence. With Gideon in hand, he left S.T.A.R. Labs and returned to his ship, The Disciple.
With Gideon installed on The Disciple, many tasks became easier to accomplish—such as finding someone.
"Gideon, help me locate Brie Larvan," Su Sheng asked as he leaned back in his chair.
Within moments, Gideon displayed Brie Larvan's information on the console. As expected, Brie was plotting her revenge with her robotic bees, just as in the original storyline.
After reviewing Brie's activities, Su Sheng grew curious about the speed and methods required to travel through time and space. Since this version of Gideon originally belonged to the Reverse-Flash, it likely had insights into the Speed Force.
Gideon answered Su Sheng's questions, providing information that cleared up many of his doubts. The difference between experience and inexperience was clear—Gideon's responses made everything click into place for Su Sheng.
"Time travel is easier than space travel, but I don't need to travel through time right now. Let's see if I can manage space travel," Su Sheng mused, eager to put Gideon's answers to the test.
With a flash of lightning, Su Sheng exited The Disciple and began running at top speed.
"About 1,000 miles per hour should be enough to travel through time, but... it's not enough for space!"
He began stacking his abilities, pushing himself to run faster and faster. The lightning seemed to merge with his body, blurring the line between him and the energy he generated. Su Sheng entered a state of deep concentration, where nothing else existed except for the Speed Force itself. The energy surged through every cell of his body, and he felt as though he had become one with the Speed Force.
Suddenly, a light blue wormhole, resembling rolling clouds, formed ahead of him. Without hesitation, Su Sheng rushed in.
The experience was somewhat similar to time travel, yet distinctly different. The time stream was green, but here, it was blue. Images flashed by—moments from the past, present, and future, all flickering around him.
Su Sheng barely glanced at them, knowing that if he focused too much, he might end up at that specific point in time. This method of travel was highly idealistic; wherever his thoughts were centered, that's where he would end up. The journey seemed endless, so Su Sheng pushed himself to increase his speed even further.
The yellow lightning surrounding him intensified—twice, four times, ten times faster. Su Sheng didn't know how fast he was going, only that he was focused on finding Dr. Harrison Wells from Earth II.
Finally, a light appeared at the end of the tunnel, and with a whoosh, Su Sheng rushed through it.
He emerged into a room, his feet taking a few more steps before he stopped. Su Sheng looked around and realized he was in an office. Turning around, he saw a man wearing glasses pointing some kind of energy gun at him.
"Who are you?" the man demanded, his grip on the weapon firm.
Su Sheng chuckled, recognizing the man. "You look exactly like him, but you're not the Dr. Harrison Wells I know."
"I asked you a question—who are you?" Harrison Wells repeated, his gun now glowing with blue energy, ready to fire.
"Who's the mayor of Central City?" Su Sheng asked, ignoring the question.
Bang!
Harrison Wells fired, but the energy bullet hit the wall. Before Wells could react, his gun was dismantled and tossed to the ground in one swift motion.
"You…" Harrison Wells began, but Su Sheng grabbed him by the neck, pulling him closer with a smile.
"Answer my question—who is the mayor of Central City?"
"Snart. Leonard Snart," Harrison Wells answered, struggling to speak.
"Captain Cold, huh?" Su Sheng chuckled again. "And your daughter's name is Jesse?"
Harrison Wells' expression shifted dramatically. "You… Who are you? How do you know about my daughter…?"
"Don't ask questions—answer them," Su Sheng said, releasing Wells. Harrison Wells rubbed his neck, warily watching Su Sheng.
"Is there a Flash in this world? His name is Jay Garrick? And is there someone faster than him called Zoom?"
When Su Sheng mentioned Zoom, Harrison Wells' eyes betrayed a flash of recognition.
"Zoom took your daughter, didn't he? No, that doesn't make sense. The breach between the two Earths hasn't occurred yet, so Zoom wouldn't have targeted other Earths. How could he have kidnapped your daughter?" Su Sheng pondered aloud.
"You came from another Earth?" Harrison Wells muttered in disbelief. "So the theory of parallel universes is true, and Zoom was right!"
"What do you think?" Su Sheng asked nonchalantly.
"He took Jesse to force me into researching how to open the breach between parallel worlds. He wants to eliminate speedsters from other Earths!" Harrison Wells revealed, his desperation palpable. "How did you do it? You're a speedster, too. Are you using the Speed Force? Does that mean you're fast enough to travel through time and space? Then your speed must surpass Zoom's!"
Wells' anxiety grew, and he nearly forgot his own caution. The Harrison Wells of Earth II was a devoted father, willing to do anything to save his daughter, Jesse. In the original timeline, he sought out Barry Allen, the Flash, to defeat Zoom and rescue his daughter. Despite his initial guilt over betraying the team, Wells eventually confessed and worked with them.
"Whatever you plan to do here, save my daughter. I'll do anything you ask!" Harrison Wells pleaded, his love for his daughter overriding everything else.
Jesse Wells, also known as Jesse Quick in the original timeline, was indeed a part of the Flash family. Eventually, she became a well-known speedster in her own right.
