"Whoa! What the heck are you doing, you damn egg!"

At 6 AM, in a room of a certain residence, a figure lying on a single bed like a dead fish suddenly leaped up.

The figure appeared to be around 20 years old, with short silvery-white hair and deep gray eyes. His delicate yet resolute face was complemented by a pair of black shorts. He was Kasugano Haru, who had just defeated Rama.

At this moment, Haru's silver hair stood on end from the roots. Filled with rage, he punched the bed on his right side. The single bed instantly shattered into scattered wooden fragments. Haru continued smashing the remnants with both fists. After a while, he finally calmed down.

Earlier, just as Haru had finished bathing and was about to enjoy a certain "trophy," the egg had completed deducing all the rules contained within the Sacred Sword of Salvation.

Since the Sacred Sword of Salvation was a Sacred blade formed by unifying all the heavenly gods' Sacred tools, it naturally possessed the rule information of all those Artefacts. In mythology, the power of steel deities was almost entirely concentrated in their weapons.

Therefore, the weapons of steel deities essentially represented the authorities they possessed and the rules endowed by the world.

By combining the numerous steel God rules deduced from these Sacred tools with the rules previously derived from Earth Mother goddesses of continents like Eurasia and Africa, the egg immediately deduced the complete set of rules for the "Campione" world.

This should have been something worth celebrating.

But don't forget, the egg's purpose was to collect rules to perfect itself. The rules of the "Campione" world had been fully gathered, but it hadn't achieved significant enhancement, and there were no other unknown rules left in the world. This was quite awkward.

Realizing that there was no fresh "food" in the "Campione" world, the egg fell into an instinctive agitation. Driven by its innate desire for new rules, it activated its boundless power.

In an instant, before Kasugano Haru could react, it forcibly removed him from the "Campione" world, tearing open the world's barrier and entering the chaotic flow of time and space. In a flash, it found the nearest world, forcibly tore open its barrier, and brought Haru's body there.

At the same time, it kindly transmitted the whole story into Haru's mind, letting him understand the situation and urging him to collect more "food" for it.

Therefore, Haru was now in a state of rage. He hurriedly closed his eyes, sinking his mind into his soul space. Standing on the boundless land within, he swung the most powerful iron fist he had ever mustered at the egg in the sky.

But how could an egg capable of transporting people across worlds and using rules as nourishment be shaken by scumbag Haru? After smashing at it for a long time and finding it useless, Haru helplessly stopped this futile action.

With a dark expression, Haru sank his mind into the egg's information library, searching for a way to travel back to the "Campione" world.

Before long, Haru found within the egg a crystalline embodiment of rule power representing the ability to traverse worlds. He quickly mobilized the magical energy within his golden core, pouring it into the rule crystal, and urgently activated the traversal function.

As the rule crystal was filled with a large amount of magical energy, the egg popped up a window asking whether to return to the original world.

Haru immediately pressed the button marked "Yes," and then his whole body emitted a dazzling white light.

Space slowly distorted, and the previously messy room scenery warped and vanished. Haru found himself enveloped in an incomparably deep darkness.

When light reappeared, Haru had returned to his room.

Seeing the extremely familiar room layout before him, Haru felt relieved. Fortunately, he could return; at least he wasn't forcibly trapped in another world.

As his mood calmed, Haru suddenly developed a strong interest in the new world. Once again, he input magical energy into the rule crystal. His whole body emitted a dazzling white light, space twisted again, and Haru reappeared in the residence. The fragments of the single bed he had destroyed earlier were still scattered all over the floor.

The corners of Haru's mouth lifted slightly, a playful mood arising. He attempted to activate the rule crystal once more.

But as Haru prepared to pour magical energy into the rule crystal again, a strong sense of emptiness from his drained body was transmitted to his mind through his nerves.

Haru immediately collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. With a bewildered expression, he wondered what had happened.

He quickly sank his mind into his body, checking the cause of this emptiness. With just a cursory sweep, Haru discovered the reason.

Because the miserable state of his dantian, three inches below his navel, was too obvious.

The originally plump and full golden core, like an egg, had shrunk into a tiny sesame seed. The magical energy stored inside had been almost completely consumed. Judging from its precarious state, it seemed close to collapsing.

Recalling his earlier reckless behavior, Haru slapped his forehead, full of regret. He had been careless. He hadn't paid attention to how much magical energy a single traversal consumed, and accidentally depleted his own reserves.

However, just now, a back-and-forth traversal had consumed all his magical energy, which was a hundred times that of a godslayer. That was energy enough to provide free electricity to the entire Earth for a year, yet it was consumed after just two uses?

It turned out that traversing worlds wasn't something simple or easy. Not to mention other strict requirements, just gathering the massive amount of energy needed for traversal was a huge challenge for ordinary people.

With a bitter face, Haru got up from the ground. At this moment, he noticed the pair of shorts he was wearing. Earlier, he had been at home changing out of the tattered clothes resulting from his battle with Rama, had taken a hot bath, and had just put on pajamas.

So these shorts were probably the egg's doing. Just as Haru was about to sink his mind in to check the egg's information library,Β

Suddenly, a woman's voice and the sound of footsteps coming upstairs reached him from downstairs.

"Issei, what just happened? Why such a loud noise?"

Haru was shocked, hastily picking up the fragments on the floor, and quickly responded to the woman's voice below. "Sorry, I accidentally fell off the bed earlier."

"Really? Be more careful; you're not a child anymore." The footsteps sounded again, this time descending the stairs.

Haru hurriedly checked the egg's information library. Why had he appeared in a place where someone lived, and why had he subconsciously responded?

All these questions needed to be checked with the egg.

Before long, he found out that, to obtain a legal identity in this world, a part of his soul had been put into the world's cycle of reincarnation, and that part of the soul had reincarnated as Hyoudou Issei.

After a while, Haru raised his head with a face full of melancholy. Sitting on the floor, he gazed through the window at the newborn sun in the distance, feeling the surge of incoming memories.

"Hyoudou Issei... Private Kuoh Academy. A few days ago, a cute girl stabbed me with a light spear... The most vivid memory is of crimson hair the same color as his own blood? And that strange feeling in the soul space."

"Damn! Its... 'High School DxD'."
