9:00 AM, Kranjcar Residence, Naples.
After releasing Guinevere and Lancelot, Athena took Brunhild to India to prepare for the plan Haru had proposed to deal with the Last King.
With the two Goddesses gone, Haru's excitement waned.Â
So, the next morning at 9:00 am, Haru and his group began packing their luggage, preparing to return home.
Once everyone had finished packing, the space before them tore open, revealing a gap large enough for five people to pass through simultaneously.Â
Through the rift, they could see the scene on the other side: a blood-red sky, a gloomy ancient city, and other peculiar landscapes. It was a corner of Hell, a desolate place called the Great Howling Hell.
Sora Kasugano frowned slightly, pouting at Haru. "While it's very convenient to travel home through space, can you change this scenery?"
Among the Authorities Haru possessed was the Hell Summoning, usurped from The Heavenly Emperor.Â
This Authority allowed him to freely open one of the eighteen levels of Hell. This particular level of Hell was connected to the Campione World as a small, separate dimension.Â
Therefore, Haru usually used this Authority as a storage space. Recently, however, after Getting Trained by Athena, the goddess of the underworld, he discovered it could also be used as a high-speed travel portal.
This "travel portal" worked by opening an entrance at point A, entering Hell, and then opening an exit at point B, provided Haru had been to location B before and left a trace of Hell's aura there.Â
Over the past three years, with his Authority over Hell, Haru had practically traveled all over the Earth. Consequently, he could now perform "spatial teleportation" across the globe, although each teleportation took at least five seconds.
Haru looked at the others with a helpless expression. Although they had arrived in Naples through this Hellish realm, they still couldn't help but frown upon seeing it again.Â
After all, it was a scene straight from Hell, and ordinary people couldn't possibly adapt to its environment.
"Alright, alright, we just need to go in for a moment. I'll open another door, and we'll be back home in Okukozome. It'll be quick," Haru said, gently pushing the reluctant Sora into Hell.
"Ugh!" A muffled groan. Sora's face turned pale. She felt her foot step on something soft… and yielding.
"Hey! What are you stepping on me for?" A clear, feminine voice called out.
Shing!Â
The sound of swords being drawn. Liliana and Erica, one on the left and one on the right, appeared before Sora, their sword points aimed at the figure lying on the ground.
"...I surrender!" Ena Seishuuin lay on the floor, her hands raised in the air, a helpless expression on her face.
...
Okukozome, Kasugano Residence, Living Room.
Haru sat on the sofa, holding the still-trembling Sora in his arms, gently patting her back and comforting her. Stepping on something that moved and spoke in that kind of atmosphere was quite frightening.
Ena Seishuuin crouched on the living room floor, two knight swords pressed against her snow-white neck. Liliana and Erica stood on either side of her, wry smiles on their faces.
She had been hiding in Hell for quite some time, relying on Mariya Yuri to occasionally bring her food and manga. Thanks to her naturally optimistic personality, she had made herself quite comfortable there.Â
Then, while enjoying a lazy sleep, she was suddenly and inexplicably stomped on, and now she was being treated like a criminal, about to be interrogated. She had a lot she wanted to say, but didn't dare. "Your Majesty, I've been wrongly accused!"
Haru scratched his head in frustration, looking at Ena Seishuuin, who was giving him an innocent smile. He felt a massive headache coming on. "Tell me, what's going on? How did you end up in Hell?"
Ena Seishuuin frowned and explained the situation.
Haru's brow furrowed as he looked at Ena. "Is everything you said true?"
Ena nodded vigorously, her large, watery eyes fixed on Haru's face. "My King, you must help me!"
Haru's face darkened. He knew Ena Seishuuin's naive and innocent personality all too well. If she said it, it was most likely true. "Do you have a list? A list of the people who collaborated with Susanoo?"
"Yes, I wrote all their names down in my notebook." Ena pulled a small notebook from her cleavage and tossed it towards Haru.
Haru's eyes were glued to Ena's chest. This was the first time he had seen someone use this method to hide something.
Sora, in his arms, stared intently at Haru's face, twisting his leg flesh 1080 degrees. Liliana and Erica glared at Haru, their faces darkening at his ogling.
"Ahem, ahem." Feeling the pain in his leg, Haru coughed a few times and gestured for the notebook, which flew into his hand. He quickly flipped through the pages, scanning the list of names.
After a moment, a cruel smile spread across his face. "Perfect. They'll be coming here to investigate anyway. We'll have them take care of this on their way."
An owl materialized beside Haru, snatched the notebook in its talons, and flew out of the Kasugano residence, heading for the distance.
...
A thousand meters above Tokyo BayÂ
Guinevere and Lancelot stood on their Pegasus, hovering in the sky.Â
Guinevere squinted slightly, her hands gripping the sides of the Holy Grail, her body radiating a golden aura. She was channeling the Grail's magical power to search for the location of the Last King.
Five hours had passed since they arrived in Tokyo Bay. Guinevere had maintained a state of intense concentration, searching every inch of the Far East.
Suddenly, she opened her eyes, her gaze unfocused as she looked towards the east.
Seeing Guinevere stop her search, Lancelot quickly asked, "My daughter, have you found the place where our Lord slumbers?"
Guinevere pursed her lips, her voice laced with a hint of tears. "I'm sorry, Uncle. I couldn't find anything. I'm so close to our Lord, but... it's all because I'm too incompetent."
"It's not your fault, my dear. Since the Elusive King believes our Lord sleeps here, then our Lord must be somewhere in this land," Lancelot said after a moment of thought.
"But, Uncle, I can't find him… I can't find him at all," Guinevere said, clutching her head in distress, her delicate features contorted in pain.
"Perhaps it's been concealed. In my many years of wandering, I've heard tales of hermits residing in this land," Lancelot said gently, stroking Guinevere's head.
"Concealed very cleverly?" Guinevere murmured, recalling the ley lines she had detected earlier.
Just then, an owl carrying a notebook appeared before them.
"Is that…? The Elusive King's Energy?"
