"Four days have passed since our last encounter, Godslayer and God of War!" Melqart's deafening voice boomed across the sky.

"Although I'd love a three-way brawl..." Melqart gripped his club, a peculiar weapon with a narrow end and a head as wide as a basin.

"Devil King! You have disrupted the balance!"

Melqart roared, hurling his club with all his might.

The two ends of the club, as if manipulated by an invisible hand, arced perfectly towards Haru, one after the other.

"I agree, King Melqart." Drawing his golden sword, Verethragna, in his Phoenix incarnation, vibrated, instantly breaking the sound barrier as he closed in on Haru with divine speed.

Watching the approaching "Chase" and "Banishment" aspects of Verethragna, Haru's eyes remained indifferent as he clenched his fists.

He stood his ground, occasionally taking a step.

Forward, backward, left, right… Each step seemed to transcend space, covering dozens of meters. No matter how the clubs pursued him, he evaded their pincer attack with each movement, a hair's breadth away from being struck.

The God of War, wielding his golden sword, reached Haru. On the golden disc behind him, the Bull and Camel glowed brightly. With a few strides, moving at an incredible speed, he unleashed countless slashes imbued with the Bull's brute force, engulfing the area where Haru stood in a golden maelstrom. The entire plaza of the ruins was transformed into a sea of gold.

"I've seen through you! Can you evade an omni-directional attack aimed at every point where spatial fluctuations emanate, King of the Earth?"

Melqart caught the returning "Chase" and "Banishment," his hands blurring as he slammed the two ends of the club together. Invisible ripples spread outwards, distorting the very fabric of space.

"I am Melqart! Devil King, did you think I wouldn't possess spatial authorities?"

With space itself disrupted, Haru's form was forced to materialize. Verethragna, seeing his chance, instantly shifted his attack, unleashing a flurry of slashes with his golden sword, completely surrounding Haru, leaving him seemingly no escape.

Even cornered by Melqart and Verethragna, Haru's expression remained calm and composed. The image of A Mountain appeared behind him, and the density of his body increased dramatically. He prepared to withstand the attack head-on.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Verethragna's golden sword, empowered by the Bull's strength, clashed against Haru's body. However, despite the might of the attack and the sharpness of the blade, the wounds inflicted were barely a millimeter deep. These minor injuries healed instantly as Haru channeled his magical energy.

Melqart suddenly appeared behind Haru. His massive frame loomed over him, radiating immense pressure. He raised his enormous club, which seemed as heavy as a mountain, and brought it down with crushing force.

Rumble! The blow triggered a magnitude 7 earthquake across Sardinia.

Melqart's club slammed into the ground, driving Haru deep into the earth. The impact caused the entire ruins to collapse, leaving a massive crater, dozens of meters deep and spanning a kilometer, in its wake.

"Hey!" As the tremors hit, Erica leaped onto a large boulder within the crater, her brow slick with sweat as she surveyed the devastated landscape.

If she hadn't reacted quickly enough, using her "Leap" spell to jump into the air, she would have been swallowed by the crater. That was not a place she wanted to be.

Erica looked towards the distant impact site with worry. The battle had escalated to this level in less than a minute. As expected, she couldn't just stand by and watch. Erica summoned her sword, Cuore di Leone, and cautiously approached the battlefield.

"Did we get him? No! Where did he go?" Melqart maintained his attack posture, cautiously scanning his surroundings.

Verethragna gripped his golden sword, sensing the surrounding movements. "An attack of that level indeed wouldn't kill a Devil King."

Boom! The club shattered. Haru burst forth from the ground, his body glowing faintly red from the intense friction with the air. Mid-air, he launched a flying kick, his shoe ablaze as the fiery attack aimed for Melqart's head.

Melqart's large body moved with surprising agility. Bending his left knee deeply, he lowered his torso by ten centimeters, narrowly avoiding the flaming kick as it grazed his face. While the movement was ungainly, resembling a bizarre dance move, it effectively evaded the attack.

"Not yet!" Still airborne, Haru inhaled sharply, channeling his power through his muscles. The image of Mountain flickered behind him as he brought his right leg down in a devastating axe kick.

Crack! A sharp sound echoed as Haru's leg connected with Melqart's waist. It was the sound of vertebrae shattering. The immense force of the blow, carrying the weight of A Mountain, slammed Melqart into the ground, creating another large crater, a hundred meters in diameter, where his 2.5-meter body impacted.

"Aaaaagh!" A monstrous howl reverberated across Sardinia. Verethragna had vanished from the sky.

An aura of immense holiness and ferocity radiated outwards. Anger, fury, and destruction!

Compared to the ubiquitous statues of gods, this was the presence of a true God!

Embodying his rage, radiating an aura of pure violence, a boar, appeared in the sky, its powerful hooves pounding the air as it charged downwards.

"Wait, he can do that? Summon a god by targeting Sardinia?" Haru stared at the boar in disbelief, instantly deciding to retreat and avoid the attack.

A thick arm grabbed his leg. It was Melqart's arm.

Melqart's booming voice filled the air. "Even a god has the resolve to perish alongside a Devil King! Let us embrace death together!"

"Oink!" The boar roared as it charged.

BOOM! A earth-shattering explosion.

Under the boar's ferocious might, the ancient ruins vanished, replaced by a massive crater, a hundred meters wide and impossibly deep, as seawater rushed in to fill the void.

…

When Erica arrived, this was the scene that greeted her.

"Damn it, what's the situation now?" Erica's face was etched with worry as she frantically surveyed the crater.

Splash! Boom! Haru's figure burst from the water, soaring into the sky. A giant boar leaped out after him, transforming into a youthful figure mid-air.

Water vapor within the crater coalesced into a towering figure, and Melqart, his face pale, emerged from the depths. "I used a resurrection, and I still couldn't kill him?!"

The youthful figure raised a golden sword, activating the Warrior aspect.

"Fear me! Fear me and my name! I am Verethragna, guardian of light and sanctuary!!"

"Language is light. Words are light. Therefore, O light, O words, become my sword, my blade!"

"That's… the Sword of Wisdom that cleaves divinity?!" Erica's expression changed drastically. The Sword of Wisdom had the ability to seal an enemy's divinity or Authority if the wielder possessed a deep understanding of them. It was an unavoidable sealing sword.

"The Sword of Wisdom has no effect on me," Haru laughed, ignoring Verethragna's actions. His Authorities were derived from the rules deduced by the egg and fused with his soul, not true Authorities originating from gods.

"But it's enough of a distraction! ...As expected. How humiliating." Verethragna lowered his golden sword, hovering in the air.

Melqart scowled, looking at Haru's flickering form in the sky.

"It was just an Authority Avatar! We've been fighting an avatar this whole time!!!"
