As Lucius looked ahead, he froze. His heart skipped a beat when he realized someone was staring back at him—intensely. He took a shaky step back, eyes widening as he processed the figure in front of him.
It was him.
He quickly scanned the area and realized he was standing in an endless maze, one that seemed to stretch on forever in all directions. The towering walls were made entirely of mirrors, reflecting his image back at him from every angle.
Even more disorienting, the ground beneath him resembled a barren desert, dry and cracked beneath his feet.
'What now?' he thought, his mind racing as he turned his gaze back to the reflection. Something about it wasn't right.
He tilted his head to the left. The reflection mirrored his movement. Then he tilted it to the right. Again, it followed.
'It's just my reflection,' he reassured himself, letting out a sigh of relief. But as he took a step forward, something strange happened.
