"Miss, you're up. You look quite well; did you have a good night's sleep?" As soon as Lin Feifei came downstairs, Uncle Cheng greeted her with a smile, his tone full of concern.
Lin Feifei glanced around the living room and not seeing Tangyu, she couldn't help but ask, "It was fine. Oh, where is Tangyu, Uncle Cheng?"
Uncle Cheng replied, "Oh, he went out for a run after eating breakfast. He's been out for a while and should be back soon. Miss, did you have a good night?"
Lin Feifei looked at Uncle Cheng and said, "It was alright."
Uncle Cheng's face showed a hint of difficulty as he said, "Miss, I meant in that regard."
"Ah, which regard?" Lin Feifei was initially startled and didn't catch on, but seeing Uncle Cheng's expression, she quickly understood. A flush spread across her face, and she bit her lip lightly, saying, "Last night was okay, Tangyu was very proper, no untoward actions. We—slept peacefully until morning."
"Oh, that's good. It seems that Master Tang's medical skills are indeed superb. I feel that your complexion looks much better now," Uncle Cheng nodded and said, relieved.
Lin Feifei nodded and said, "Yes, I also feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable, the cold feeling I had before is gone now. Alright, Uncle Cheng, I should have breakfast now; it's getting late."
Just as Lin Feifei finished her breakfast, Tangyu also returned, as going for a morning run was a routine of his. Lin Feifei glanced at Tangyu and then, feeling a bit embarrassed, quickly looked away and said, "Let's go to school, Tangyu."
"Hmm." Tangyu nodded, his gaze also measuring Lin Feifei for a moment. His own Pure Yang Qi had been balancing the Yin Ghost Qi in her body, which indeed had miraculous effects and benefits, and that night, Tangyu had also reaped significant benefits. Tangyu's eyes inadvertently strayed to Lin Feifei's well-developed chest, a fleeting and indecipherable look crossing his face before he quickly averted his gaze.
Lin Feifei and Tangyu left the house, and Uncle Cheng had already driven the car over.
"Miss Lin, did you sleep well last night? Did you feel uncomfortable in any way?" Tangyu suddenly asked.
A blush quickly spread across Lin Feifei's face at his words. Remembering made her feel very shy, and she nodded, saying, "It was okay, but I—seemed to have had some strange dreams, almost felt like it wasn't a dream."
Seeing Lin Feifei's shy demeanour, Tangyu couldn't help but take a few more glances, still finding the innocence of the young beauty endearing. Just a couple of words could make her blush.
"Dreaming is normal. Medically speaking, 'daytime thoughts lead to nighttime dreams.' Most dreams are caused by deeper thoughts in one's heart," Tangyu said, though inwardly he mused that he had to be more careful from now on.
"Oh, I see." Lin Feifei nodded, but her mind couldn't help but wonder if dreaming such dreams meant she had deep-seated desires for that sort of thing? No, no, no, there's no way she, the young miss, could feel that way.
All the way to the school, Lin Feifei's mind was entangled with complex thoughts.
"Okay, Uncle Cheng, I'll get off here," Tangyu suddenly said.
Only then did Lin Feifei come back to her senses and checked, "No need, Tangyu, let Uncle Cheng drive us to the school gate."
Tangyu glanced at Lin Feifei and said with a faint smile, "Miss Lin, aren't you afraid that if people see us getting out of the car together, it will bring you some unnecessary trouble?"
Lin Feifei replied, "It's fine, we are doing nothing wrong, so I'm not afraid of what others might say. Besides, we can't stop people from talking if they want to. Never mind, Uncle Cheng, please drive up to the school entrance."
Tangyu smiled slightly and said, "It seems like Miss Lin has become much more open-minded today, so I will take that as an invitation."
"Not really, I've always been open-minded, all right. It was only in the past few days, particularly towards you—but let's not talk about the past," Lin Feifei said.
Uncle Cheng soon parked the car at the entrance of Linshan Middle School. Lin Feifei looked out the window and furrowed her brows. A look of disgust flashed across her face, "That Wang Ba is here again waiting for me? So annoying, he's like a fly that can't be shooed away. It's infuriating."
Tangyu looked outside and saw three young men standing not far away, clearly there on purpose to wait for Lin Feifei. As the foremost of Linshan Middle School's three beauties, Lin Feifei naturally attracted countless male admirers at school. And for Lin Feifei to feel so helpless against someone, that boy must have connections not lesser to those of the Lin Group. The one Lin Feifei referred to as Wang Ba was a tall and stout young man, stout to the point of looking slightly fat. As for his looks, they were less than commendable but he was dressed extravagantly. Wang Ba was flanked by two cronies. The trio stuck out conspicuously, as if they had the words "not good students" written on their foreheads.
It was no wonder Lin Feifei was annoyed.
"Tangyu, can you get out of the car and drive those three annoying guys away for me?" Lin Feifei looked at Tangyu somewhat pleadingly, having witnessed his skills before, thus naturally turning to him for help. After making the request, however, Lin Feifei immediately regretted it.
Tangyu shook his head slightly and said, "Asking me to bully three students doesn't seem right. Besides, they haven't wronged or provoked me. Why should I go beat them up?"
"It's just a favor I'm asking for, if you won't help, fine, I'll deal with it myself." Initially regretful for asking, Lin Feifei felt somewhat uncomfortably offended upon hearing Tangyu's outright refusal. When had Lin Feifei ever needed to ask for help at Linshan Middle School, and which boy could refuse her?
Tangyu smiled lightly and said, "You just dislike them and want them to back off without further trouble, right? It can very easily be handled without resorting to violence. Actually, I have a much gentler and more civilized way to fix this."
About to step out of the car, Lin Feifei suddenly turned around, looked at Tangyu, and said with unexpected thrill, "Really?"
Tangyu nodded and replied, "Of course. Don't you trust me?"
"I trust you, of course I trust you. Alright then, let's get out of the car together. If you can help me with this, how about I owe you a favor?" Lin Feifei said.
Tangyu shook his head and stated, "Favors should not be owed carelessly, and I'm not one to seek rewards for being helpful. It's a trivial matter; why so serious? Besides, you're still my patient, and helping you clear up such troubling matters is part of my duty since your mood can directly affect the treatment outcome."
"Hehe, you are really something," Lin Feifei said with a laugh.
"Bro Wang, why has the car been stopped for so long and Lin Feifei still hasn't gotten out? Could it be she saw you here and doesn't dare to come out?" one of the boys by Wang Ba's side said.
Wang Ba kicked him and retorted, "Nonsense, could my handsome self possibly scare Lin Feifei? She's just too shy to come out. No worries, I have plenty of time to wait. Anyway, there isn't much time left before class starts, and Lin Feifei will soon come out."
"Yeah, what Bro Wang said is right—oh, the car door is opening, Lin Feifei is getting out. Hey, who is that guy? How come he's walking over here with Lin Feifei?" the young man exclaimed. All three turned their gaze toward Tangyu.
