When Liu Chen got home, it was already 5 AM. Qin Lu was lying in bed asleep, and Liu Chen secretly kissed her before turning to change his clothes when suddenly, Qin Lu sat up and hugged him from behind.
Liu Chen said, "I thought you were asleep."
"I can't sleep without you here," Qin Lu pressed her head against Liu Chen's back, full of worry.
Liu Chen patted Qin Lu's back and turned around, to which Qin Lu looked up at him, "What happened tonight?"
"Nothing!" Liu Chen hid the truth to keep Qin Lu from worrying.
However, Qin Lu, being intelligent, had already sensed something was amiss. If nothing had happened, Liu Chen wouldn't have asked Zhang Tianfang to drive him home and also wouldn't have insisted that she not go out. Something must have gone wrong.
Liu Chen planted a kiss on Qin Lu's head, saying, "Go back to sleep for a bit."
