"Hey! Don't look at me like that, your gaze is giving me the creeps," Ye Wutian said as he shuffled to the side, trying to put some distance between himself and Cheng Bing. Being stared at by an assassin with such a strange expression really was rather unnerving.
Cheng Bing realized that he had lost his composure and quickly averted his gaze.
Ye Wutian didn't dwell on it and stood up, saying, "I'm going back to my room. Call me when it's time to eat." With that, he turned and walked toward the staircase.
Back in his room, Ye Wutian tossed the Crimson Flame Sword onto the bed and then took out that stone. After several days, the stone hadn't changed at all; it greedily absorbed his True Qi, and in a matter of moments, his True Qi was completely drained.
After fiddling with the stone for a while, Ye Wutian was about to put it back in the drawer when suddenly there was a crisp "crack" from the stone. Upon closer inspection, there was a tiny, two-centimeter long crack.
