Deep in the jungle, a multitude of tombstones stood erect.
In front of this tombstone forest, a group of people were kneeling in silence.
After a long quiet moment, a beautiful young girl tugged at the sleeve of the middle-aged man next to her and whispered softly, "Dad, I believe that my brother must still be alive." Tears filled the girl's eyes, but her expression was exceptionally steadfast, and in her left hand, she clutched a purple butterfly hairpin tightly...
Jiangling City International Airport.
Ye Wutian, who had just walked out of the airport terminal, spread his arms wide and exclaimed with genuine emotion, "Ladies of the motherland, I, Ye Wutian, am back!"
Passersby cast strange glances at him one after another, but Ye Wutian remained oblivious.
Just after his emotional outburst, he noticed a woman dressed in a black miniskirt with a curvaceous figure passing by him.
A fragrance immediately wafted towards him.
Ye Wutian quickly took in two deep breaths, the refreshing scent causing his entire body to tingle with numbness.
Looking at the woman, her long black hair flowed elegantly, and her slim waist could not be grasped in a single hand. Judging from her silhouette alone, she was definitely a beauty.
Without saying a word, Ye Wutian hurriedly followed her and, as he brushed past the woman, he intentionally bumped her arm, causing the stack of papers she was holding to scatter.
"Whoosh!" The papers immediately spread all over the ground.
The woman instinctively turned back to glance at Ye Wutian, who then got a clear view of her appearance.
The woman appeared to be around eighteen or nineteen years old, with a stunningly beautiful face that could overshadow the moon, and a pair of enchanting phoenix eyes that could captivate hearts. Her delicate nose, ruby-red lips, and the two strands of hair gently brushing her cheeks added an alluring charm. She was so ravishing that it nearly caused Ye Wutian's eyeballs to fall out, "I never expected to encounter such an extreme beauty as soon as I returned to the Central Plains. It seems my luck with the ladies is set to continue on this trip."
Seeing the woman bending down to pick up the papers, a sly smile appeared on Ye Wutian's lips, and he quickly apologized, "Little sister, I'm really sorry, let your big brother help you pick them up." With that, he quickly crossed over to the woman's side, squatted down, and while picking up the papers, he couldn't help but steal glances up her skirt with his roving eyes.
The woman seemed to notice Ye Wutian's gaze, and she glanced up at him, angrily asking, "Have you looked enough?"
Ye Wutian swallowed his saliva, his gaze still not shifting, and replied with a silly grin, "Such a magnificent view is naturally something I could never tire of looking at. If you, little sister, are not in a rush, I wouldn't mind taking a couple more glances. If we could find a secluded place, and you'd allow me a comprehensive observation, that'd be just perfect."
"You filthy rogue!" The woman cursed indignantly, and almost instantly, her delicate hand sent a fragrant breeze zipping towards Ye Wutian's face.
Ye Wutian's lips curled up, and he reached out with his right hand to grab the woman's wrist. With a mischievous laugh, he said, "Although I'm a bit handsome, you don't have to be so enthusiastic, do you? We've only just met, and you're already reaching out to touch me. I'm quite embarrassed, but if you're really interested, why don't we find a quiet place and then have a further conversation?" As he spoke, Ye Wutian brought the woman's hand to his nose for a sniff and showed an expression of intoxication on his face.
"You shameless scoundrel!" The woman's eyes were filled with disgust as she struggled to pull her hand back from Ye Wutian's grip, then snatched the papers from his hand and stood up to leave.
Ye Wutian didn't chase after her. Instead, he called out from behind, "Girl, if you ever need anything, feel free to look for me. My surname is Ye and my given name is Wutian, but my stage name is Handsome Pot. All those descriptions of dashing and suave, a figure like a fine tree amid a breeze, are actually talking about me."
"I certainly don't wish to see you, this rogue, ever again, hmph!" The woman glanced back and huffed before quickening her pace and walking away.
"Hey! She's quite interesting." Ye Wutian nodded with interest and then flicked his right hand across his waist, immediately producing an A4 paper. It was obviously the document he had secretly kept after pretending to pick it up for the lady.
Looking at it, he found it to be a medical record: Name, Feng Shulan; Age, 45; Condition, brain dead...
"It must be that girl's mother. Brain death is incurable both domestically and internationally, but if 'The Divine Doctor' here were to take action..." After checking the mobile number hastily written on the back of the paper, the corners of Ye Wutian's mouth lifted slightly.
Just then, his stomach suddenly growled.
"Looks like I need to find a restaurant and have a good meal first." Ye Wutian put away the medical record and felt around in his pocket, only to find that he didn't even have a single coin. That's when he remembered the conversation he had with his master Ye Wufa before leaving.
"My good disciple, resources here are getting scarce, and your appetite is only getting bigger. Several girls that caught my eye have been snatched away by you—how could your master bear this. You have learned from me for over a decade; it's now time to go back and serve the motherland. The motherland is vast and rich, with countless beautiful girls. Your master started from scratch on that beautiful land."
Ye Wufa instructed him earnestly, taking a slight pause before adding seriously, "Remember this one thing: Greater China is like a hiding place for dragons and a crouching ground for tigers, full of hidden masters. Although your cultivation level leaves few with the ability to contend with you, it is still wise to be prudent. Moreover, we of the Xuanyuan Medical Sect advocate healing the world with medicine and do not involve ourselves in Wulin disputes. Even if you unfortunately get dragged into such matters, you must never disclose your master's name unless it's a matter of life and death."
"Disciple remembers Master's teachings well." Ye Wutian was well aware that just mentioning his master's name in the streets could alarm a nation, and that was why he had lived in seclusion there.
"Also, if your memories from before age eight ever resurface, you must keep calm and refrain from acting rashly," Ye Wufa warned seriously.
"Understood, Master." Ye Wutian understood that his master's main reason for sending him back to China was to awaken the memories he had lost from before the age of eight.
"Alright, go now. I've already bought your plane ticket. Begin your journey now," Ye Wufa said, waving his hand.
"Oh right, Master, please don't tell my ruthless junior sister my whereabouts." After dropping this line, Ye Wutian, not even carrying a penny, hastily embarked on his journey home.
Watching his disciple's receding figure, Ye Wufa looked forlorn and murmured softly, "Wutian, today is the memorial day for your Yang Family's one hundred eighty clan members; please forgive your master for not telling you the truth for so many years..."
"They say a man is rich with money and troubled without it! Looks like I need to find some small-time hooligans to extort some cash from." Ye Wutian was saying this to himself when he saw four shabby-looking young men approaching him.
While these four men looked quite sturdy and probably capable of handling themselves, this certainly won't scare off Ye Wutian, the Great Rogue.
"It's commonly said that big fish eat little fish, and little fish eat shrimp. Me, The Great Rogue, extorting you little hooligans is just the way of the world," Ye Wutian chuckled wickedly, puffed out his chest, and strode confidently towards the small-time thugs.
