After teaching those thugs a lesson, Ye Wutian swaggered off.
Actually, with his skills, disciplining thugs was really an underuse of his talents. The greatest ability he had learned from Ye Wufa was the "Inner Canon of Huangdi."
This "Inner Canon of Huangdi" was a medical classic created and handed down from the Ancient Era by Emperor Xuanyuan. It was divided into two parts, "Su Wen" and "Ling Shu."
"Su Wen" mainly discussed the viscera, meridians, etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnostic methods, therapeutic principles, and acupuncture, etc., while "Ling Shu," an inseparable companion to "Su Wen," talked about the functions of viscera, etiology, pathogenesis, meridian points, acupuncture instruments, techniques, and therapeutic principles. It also contained a mental method of Inner Strength designed to be used in conjunction with medical skills. Hence, "Su Wen" focused on diagnosis, whereas "Ling Shu" emphasized treatment.
The "Inner Canon of Huangdi" had been passed down for tens of thousands of years, yet few people truly understood its essence, especially the Spirit Pivot Heart Technique contained within "Ling Shu," which was exclusively controlled by the Xuanyuan Medical Sect. Moreover, this mental method had extremely strict requirements for the cultivator's meridians, truly one in a billion.
After running the mental method through one cycle, Ye Wutian stopped his cultivation, stood up, and stretched lazily.
Having struggled for half a day without making a penny left Ye Wutian feeling quite downhearted, "It seems I should go have a meal on the house first," he thought.
Spotting a beef noodle shop across the street, Ye Wutian walked over with his head high and a confident stride.
"Boss, give me a bowl of beef noodles!" he called out.
"Alright!" the boss responded promptly and started cooking with a flourish.
It was now lunchtime, and the shop was filled with people, including many beautiful women, but Ye Wutian paid them no mind. He had a quirk: when hungry, he had no interest in beauty.
In no time, the boss brought over a steaming bowl of beef noodles to Ye Wutian.
Ye Wutian swallowed his saliva twice and immediately grabbed his chopsticks to start eating. However, after just two bites, he realized something was off; he couldn't taste any beef in the beef noodles.
Perplexed, Ye Wutian stirred through the noodles with his chopsticks and indeed couldn't find a single strand of beef.
Feeling displeased, Ye Wutian slammed the table and asked loudly, "Boss, I ordered beef noodles, how come you gave me plain noodles?"
"That bowl is beef noodles," the boss replied.
"Then why is there no beef in it?" Ye Wutian continued to question.
"Must beef noodles necessarily contain beef? Others call it 'wife cake,' does it mean when you buy it, they also give you a wife?" the boss retorted confidently.
"That makes sense," Ye Wutian conceded, thinking it logical, and didn't quibble further. After all, he was there for a free meal and felt no need to be picky.
Within a short while, Ye Wutian devoured the entire bowl of plain beef noodles, leaving the bowl as clean as if licked by a cat, not even a drop of soup was left.
"Thanks for the hospitality, boss. We'll meet again," Ye Wutian said as he stood up and headed for the door.
"Hey! Kid, you haven't paid yet!" the boss called out urgently from behind.
"Pay? Why didn't you say that before I ate? Now that I've finished, you're saying I have to pay. Isn't that putting the cart before the horse?" Ye Wutian argued, feigning dissatisfaction.
"Don't talk about money, why would I even open a shop?" the boss shot back, his eyes wide with anger.
"I thought you were opening a granary to benefit the world. Right now, I'm penniless, so here's what you do: go to Maldives and ask my master for the money," Ye Wutian said as he turned and continued walking.
The boss hurried after him and grabbed Ye Wutian's sleeve, shouting, "You little rascal, daring to mooch a meal in my shop, I won't let you walk in and crawl out!"
The boss raised his fist, ready to strike.
But just then, a beautiful and pleasant voice came from behind, "Boss, let me pay for him."
Looking back, he saw two young women standing side by side, the one on the right being the exceedingly beautiful girl who had spoken.
Ye Wutian's eyes bulged in amazement. What a nation-toppling beauty she was, her lively and clear eyes sparkling, her delicate eyebrows like autumn water, her long lashes trembling slightly, her fair and flawless skin blushed with a gentle pink, her thin lips tender as rose petals, tempting one to come closer for a kiss.
The boss had also been stunned for a long time before coming to his senses. He hadn't noticed such a beautiful girl among the customers earlier due to the rush.
Grinning as he took the money, the boss then coldly said to Ye Wutian, "Humph! Consider yourself lucky today!"
Ye Wutian ignored him, but turned to the girl with a solicitous expression of gratitude, "For saving my life, beautiful lady, I have no way to repay you. If you don't mind, I'm willing to devote myself to you."
Hearing what Ye Wutian said, the girl couldn't help but giggle. Her beauty was already at its peak, and her smile now brought an ineffable charm to her brows. Even phrases like 'all other women lose their allure in her presence' would not seem an overstatement to describe her.
Next time I go back, I really must earnestly thank my master. If not for his painstaking efforts in raising me and then sending me into a world full of beauties, I — Ye Wutian — wouldn't have such extraordinary romantic luck.
