Ancient lands, the Tang Clan.
In an antique room, Tang Heshan stood with his hands clasped behind his back, facing a landscape painting of a vast, tumultuous river, so lifelike and exquisite in its depiction that it evoked the thrill as if one were immersed in it.
However, Tang Heshan's thoughts were not on the painting.
Behind him stood Tang Surou, somewhat constrained, feeling unable to relax in the presence of her father, the Clan Leader of the Tang.
The authority of her father was deep in her bones.
"Su Rou, how has your cultivation been going lately?" Tang Heshan said.
Tang Surou lowered her head and answered, "Recently, Su Rou has been diligently cultivating, but attempting to break through the mid-stage of the Legendary realm has proven somewhat difficult."
"Cultivation is not something accomplished overnight. I've heard from the servants that you've been going out often," Tang Heshan said, a hint of anger in his tone.
