Ye Qiu was preparing to set off for Capital City the next day.
Niu Yinyin, ecstatic at the thought of seeing her mother sooner, wanted to share the good news with her neighbor friends.
Niu Yinyin had a few playmates at the Goddess Villa too, and she happily bounced out, unnoticed by either Ye Qiu or Shen Mengchen.
But as evening approached and Niu Yinyin had not returned, Ye Qiu frowned.
"Where on earth could the girl be? She usually would have been back by now," Shen Mengchen said, glancing at the time. It was approaching six o'clock, and with the nightfall drawing near, even Shen Mengchen couldn't help but show some worry.
"I'll go out and look for her." Ye Qiu hurried out of the villa and spotted a group of children gathered together, walking straight over to them.
His gaze swept over them, but there was no sign of Niu Yinyin.
"Has anyone seen Yinyin?" A bad premonition began to settle in Ye Qiu's heart.
