"What paper is that?" Dan asked as he saw Clara's eyes rotating under the bed as her badged into the room.
"Huh, it's nothing." Clara sputtered. But her facial expression says it all; she was hiding something from Dan.
She had threw the envelope beneath the bed as soon as she heard his footsteps approaching the door.
"And why are you dressed up this early? J can't remember you telling me of seeing the obstetrician today." Dan said.
"Yeah. I just have something I need to attend to." Clara ensweret.
Ten years ago, driven with excitement and joy at securing admission to the university and running to share the good news with her father, poor Lila saw herself on the ground, lying helpless, as she got hit by a speeding vehicle.
"Hey, are you okay? I'm sorry, my dear." She heard the consoling voice of a man from behind, trying to lift her up.
