"I'm sorry, Dian, I have to go. We'll talk more on the phone when the party's over," Viola whispered to Dian when she was still entertaining some guest.
"Leave? To where? How?" Diana's countenance changed, but realising that it was her D-day and she was surrounded by visitors, she instantly forced a faint smile to cover her rage.
That was not the plan.
Viola supposed to be a big part of that celebration. The three of them had dedicated that day not only for Diana's birthday celebration, but also a get-together after a decade of being apart.
But now, this; Viola had ruined it all. How can Dian and Lucy enjoy the after party only two of them?
It would have been better if Viola should miss the birthday celebration but make out time for the get together which was supposed to be in the night after every guest must have left; but that was not the case.
