Chapter 8 - Prophecy: Children of Aurora

Pushing all his troubling thought aside, he whistle rhythmically and shortly after as a response to his rhetorical whistle a majestic creature soar through the lightning cloud heading towards him

Its a Griffin, a creature of unparalleled majesty. Its golden feathers, shimmering like sunbeams caught in a tempest, were tipped with streaks of silver, reflecting the lightning that crackled around it.

It massive wings, spread wide, cast a shadow that seemed to swallow the world around it, yet its eyes, keen and intelligent, held a gaze that was both fierce and wise.

Its body, the form of a lion, its mane a cascade of white fire that flowed like a river of molten gold. Its paws were tipped with claws that could rend steel, yet its gait was as graceful as a dancer's.

The Griffin's head, that of an eagle, was crowned with a golden beak that could tear through flesh and bone, yet its expression was one of calm authority. Its eyes, the color of storm clouds, held the wisdom of ages, and its gaze was as piercing as a lightning bolt.

This magnificent creature, is a variant of Griffin found beyond the dense cloud above that mountain boundary

a place where on storm giants dare to venture be it to hunt, game or train. he is the only one that had done that against all warning when he is just four

and had returned with this tamed griffin, which till date stood as a monument of his outstanding power.

it soon arrived before Zeus screeching at him affectionately as Zeus reached out to stroke his mane, "come Alden, time to visit beyond the reach again

there are things I need oldy for once again" he grabbed his hammer and hop on the Griffin he had name with his earth name as if trying not to forget about his origin

Alden screech louder announcing its majestic grade as it turn as shot towards the heart of the storm surrounding the mountain far and wide

from another balcony, Zeus father the chieftain watched as Zeus figure fades into the night cloud. "seems like that Revenant visit would spell doom in the coming future, I know those looks in his eyes and could tell he is conflicted at the moment"

he spoke to the giant that had usher Hades in earlier, his tone a mixture if unexpressive feelings.

"they spoke like they have known each other for ages, I can't tell where he might have might that revenant but it sure might be the reason he is visiting the beyond again

my bet is they met there the last time he venture over"

the chieftain nodded, "I share same thought too, I just hope what ever bothers him does escalate into an horror later on but my gut feelings is sending me a opposite sign to my own believe"

silence reign in the room as they both stare at the empty storming sky Zeus figure had disappeared from.

Flock of Raven's flew through the night sky undetected by those below till it came to a stop above a city, in the kingdom Aureus.

a kingdom filled with its own grandeur and glory, depicting the intricacy of human mind. the inhabitants of this kingdom are humans.

he raised his gaze to temple like statute up ahead as he walked out of the Shadow head toward it. his presence went unnoticed by the low level mage set as guard at the entrance

The air within this temple hung heavy with the scent of incense and the murmur of prayers as his figure cloaked in shadow, stepped into a grand Hall

there were maiden and mages going about their business unaware of his presence except a lady he instinctively turn his direction the moment he got in

stirring at him as if he could see through his cloak, her eyes shimmering with an inner light as she gaze at him wearily

Hades nodded in approval inwardly seeing this figure draped in robes of midnight blue could see him. it very much expected of the information he has on her

Elara, the Grand Arcanist and the most powerful mage in Aureus, a woman who wielded the power that Reval other empire arcanist.

"Who are you stranger," Elara spoke telepathically to Hades, her voice a soft whisper that seemed to carry the weight of ages. "What brings you to Aureus?"

Hades, however, felt no warmth in her voice but the subtle threat she hint in if he didn't give her a good reply.

she hadn't move nor made any action to alert those around her, she left everything to flow naturally why initiating the conversation telepathically.

a strong evidence she isn't scared but confident she could handle this strange that had invade her sanctuary.

"I'm a seeker of knowledge," he replied, his voice devoid of any warmth. "Knowledge of this world, of its power, of its secrets."

Elara's eyes flickered with a hint of suspicion. the way this stranger answer her directly with a level of boldness she can't explaining made her double her guard up

Something about this stranger made her feel unease and his unbothered and unwavering look all the more made it obvious the other was weary of her "And what makes you think you are worthy of such knowledge?"

"Because I am a seeker of truth," Hades said, his gaze piercing, his eyes reflecting the shadows that clung to him. "And I sense that Aureus holds secrets that could shed light on the path ahead."

Elara's brow arch, she had a conflicted expression. "You speak with an air of wisdom, stranger. But tell me, what do you know of our kingdom?"

Hades this time around didn't just answer, he waled over to her side but didn't stop. walked passed her heading deep inside the temple till he came to a stop in front of. statue of Aurora at the centre of a large room.

Elara followed behind him wondering why he had such boldness and seems to know his way around which isn't possible for a stranger except this person is familiar with this place

all the more reason her curiosity of him increased, she stop a few distance away from him, setting her gaze on the statue of Aurora he was gazing at

"its always fascinating seeing the Statue of the goddess Aurora, her enigmatic grace does fill one's heart with tranquil"

hearing this, Elara relaxed a bit, howbeit still vigilante of him. "so you are also a choosen son of Aurora," Elara asked, creating a mental frame as to who this stranger might be

over ages there have been those favoured by the heaven just like her, who got a more preferential favour from the goddess in different aspects

for herself she is blessed with powerful magical talents which helped her attain her height today, surpassing her peers

"It's an honor to have you grace our humble abode." she added, her voice now gentler and friendlier

"The honor is mine, Elara," he replied, his voice still devoid of any warmth. "Though I must confess, the term 'son of Aurora' sits rather uncomfortably on my tongue."

He finds it unsightly to acknowledged a goddess he had never known as his mother, one who had snatched him from his own world and cast him into this strange, new existence

yes she gave him a good life in this world and a good status too but its all because she needed him to do something in return. to him its just business with both said having something to offer

a win-win situation as she had put it earlier, so shy would he willing accept the position of her son for free

Elara's expression softened slightly. "You speak with an air of wisdom, stranger. But tell me, what do you know of our kingdom?"

"I heard Aureus is a kingdom divided," Hades said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I can't help but question why, what is the difference between your infernal affairs

Elara's eyes flickered with a hint of animosity. "the eternal debate," her tone laced with a subtle irony.

"The priests, claiming to be the true children of Aurora due their power drawn from her divine grace, their rituals a conduit to her will.

While we mages on the other, draw our power from the very fabric of the world, from the ancient forces that lie dormant beneath the surface."

Hades let out a low chuckle, a sound that echoed through the hall, cold and chilling. "Such petty squabbles," his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"you can day that because you aren't dragged into this squabbles as you put it. more importantly, how did you know about this infight within our kingdom if you aren't within the inner circle

last time i check we made a great deal of an effort to keep this differences hidden from those outside the circle of rule or did some one made a leak?

who would be stupid enough to do that knowing we don't want other kingdoms and empires capitalizing o this against us, especially those damn race feeling superior to humans in their mundane train of thought"
