Carnage, that's way the only word that could be used to describe the bloody masacarre, that was taking place in the center of the cavern.
Blood splattered as different body parts continued to fly in the air, followed by different cries of pain and agony.
But let us rewind to how all this started.
An hour earlier.
***
Vin stared at the group of blood thirsty warriors on front of him, that seemed like they wanted to eat him alive.
"Now then, why don't we start with a little warm-up" he said with a wide grin on his face. And before they could even register what he said, he charged.
"Booooooom".
With an explosive sound the ground caved in under his feet as rushed towards the first person at his right, landing a square hit on his jaw. A crack sound rang out showing that it had broken.
"I think I need to learn a movement skill" he muttered to himself, although his natural explosive speed was not too bad, that was only against a single opponent.
On a group battlefield where he was fighting a lot of people, his explosive speed was only but a hindrance since it was just a straightforward process.
But because he had attacked first, he was able to exploit that loophole and landed in another two square hits on the chests of two other combatants before he was bombarded with different skills.
He twisted his body in impossible angles to dodge the skills before running around, throwing punches and jabs everywhere, and while he was at it he also used the skill "Tears of Asura" to block those attacks he couldn't dodge.
Before he becomes serious with them he wanted to get the feel of fighting a group of humans.
The only ever group battles he'd had were only against demonic beasts, but it was a different case when fighting against humans, that's because unlike them, demonic beasts didn't have any intelligence, well the ones he had fought though.
Rumor had it that those beasts in the core layer had intelligence as high as humans and were as strong as those in the core formation realm and even the Nassant soul realm. That was why they were never disturbed.
As Vin moved about he began to feel more comfortable and at ease fighting a group battle, and so he decided to stop playing around.
"Now that warm-ups are over, let's get serious shall we." he said as put on a serious expression, he placed his hands behind him. Finally drawing out his sword for the first time in a long while.
"Alright Void, it's been a while since we've fought together, let our first battle against humanity give birth to the first sin of the Seven sins of chaos. We shall use their blood to declare our undying oath to cleanse the world of its sins" he declared as he raised his sword up to the sky before bringing it downward.
"In a world where chaos thrives, autumn is known by the fallen leaves." he said slowly dragging Void who was releasing sword chimes in excitement through air.
He seemed to be conducting an opera as he sword moved in a certain rhythm in quick intensity, with each motion, rays of violet colored sword qi was released into the air.
And as if attracted by a magnet, they split into groups and fused together, compressing and condensing until they formed violet colored petals.
"Seven sins of chaos ~ Fallen petals" Vin muttered aloud, enunciating each word carefully as if announcing the prelude to an impending disaster.
And then with the Void calamity sword he made a sweeping motion to the crowd, the petals vibrated intensely, creating loud ringing sounds like the call of gods.
"En garde"
"Screeeeeeeeecchhhhhh"
It seemed like the air was being pierced through, as the tens of petals zigzaged towards his opponents.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh"
Blood splattered as different body parts were pierced through by the petals that continued to fly in the air, followed by different cries of pain and agony.
"CRACK!!!"
"Booooooom!!!!"
The ground cracked and caved in under his feet creating a booming sound as Vin dashed into their midst.
"Sword one"
"Fallen petals"
He kept on swinging his sword in wild vigor, his bestial aura flaring without a care on the world, there was a large malevolent grin that seemed to be permanently plastered on Vin's face as he kept on harvesting lives.
Large amounts of rays of violet colored sword qi was being released from his sword in tandem which in turn fused together to form violet colored petals before shooting at the black robed underlings.
"Fallen petals"
He kept on unleashing the sword skill, and the more he did, the more sword qi rays were released and the faster they condensed and formed the violet petals, that seemed to cause doom.
But it seemed like there was no end to the enemy forces, as they kept on flocking through the stone door that had now at some point been opened.
Although most of them were not that strong being only within the sixth and seventh stage of the Body refining realm, with a few even being in the eight stage, their numbers were truly despairing for him.
And because of their superior numbers, this made it so that he didn't go unscathed, for every enemy he killed, five more were able to land their skills on him.
And although he was able to avoid them hitting his vitals, this made the rest of his body filled with grievious wounds. But these injuries only seemed to fuel his killing intents the more.
His berserk violet colored aura that flared like a burning flame started getting tainted with red and black hue at the edges like the claws of a devil from hell, almost turning his killing intent into bloodlust.
Unlike the others, the pain he felt only seemed to cause him so much pleasure, he felt Euphoric.
He laughed manically as he moved faster and faster, he could feel it, there was a spark of inspiration waiting for him, he entered into a trance as his legs moved in an unpredictable pattern.
"Not yet"
"Not yet"
"I'm not done yet"
"I'm not there yet"
"In a while...."
"Yes, almost there"
He kept on grinning and muttering aloud, as his legs began moving faster and faster, he body creating faint after images in its quake that seemed to follow him.
His movements became even more unpredictable, his sword swinging so fast that it seemed vanish in thin air.
His body kept on creating more after images that seemed to lap on top each other until it looked like he was all over the place as the same time.
And then.....
"Hermes Celeration"
The moment those words were spoken out, he vanished, appearing at the other side of his position, it was only when his foot had touched the ground that the heads of ten people fell to the hard stone floor.
"What in the name of.....?"
"How is that possible?"
"This speed...!!"
"It felt like teleportation, but it isn't!!"
"What the hell kind of speed is that?"
"How could he become so fast all of a sudden?"
Shocked cries rang out amongst the black robed underlins, the speed Vin showcased at the end was a huge surprise for them.
They had never seen someone move so quickly, not even their leader Delmos was that fast.
When Vin came to be from his trance like state, he too was surprised when he realized what had happened. He noded his head in appreciation, he was truly grateful for the spark of inspiration, but to who exactly?.
"Wow, I had only thought about it for a moment, I didn't think I'd actually achieve it, creating two skills in one battle, now that's a bonus hundred for me" he chuckled.
He turned around to look at his stunned enemies, a big grin creeping on his face.
'It was time to harvest!'
"Hermes Celeration"
"Sword one"
"Fallen petals"
Carnage, that's way the only word that could be used to describe the bloody masacarre, that was taking place in the center of the cavern.
Blood splattered as different body parts continued to fly in the air, followed by different cries of pain and agony.
Vin was like a fish in water as he moved in fluidity in their midst, his movements too difficult to predict.
And even though it looked he was fighting like a wild beast, there was also a certain pattern he seemed to follow.
The bloody masacarre went on for a few more minutes before everyone of them had been killed.
He looked around, the ground was almost filled with blood and incomplete body parts, he glanced toward the other parts of the cavern to observe the other battles.
Only to see that it had already ended, but he didn't see anyone standing, no they were sprawled on the hard stone floor right beside their opponents.
Vin panicked thinking they had all died too, so he rushed around checking their pulse, he breathed a huge sigh of relief when he found out that they were still alive and breathing, although faintly.
Although they had won, it was a hard battle and they had to pay a heavy price for it, which caused them to be weakened and faint afterwards.
Vin fed them healing pills so they could recover quickly, while also taking a few himself.
He sat down in meditation to digest the the pills while also taking a little bit rest.....
