The goblin king is a title given to a goblin who had gathered a considerable amount of followers. It didn't necessarily have to be only goblins, in as much as they viewed he/she as a leader… the world would grant them the title.
The same applied to every other species, from orcs to even humans.
The process in which the world granted beings titles based on their accomplishments… was called the . And if a person was granted a title, it would immediately be embedded in the mind of others.
Terra landed on the tree above, her eyes picking up on the goblin village.
It was nestled in the middle of the forest, surrounded by trees and rocks. Several buildings made from leaves and stones were scattered across the terrains and in the middle, was a throne, crafted with skulls and darts. On this throne, sat the Goblin king.
He was huge and green, with round flabby ears. Dressed in nothing but rags covering his lower body and necklaces of all materials hanging around his chest, along with a crown made from the skull of a dead beast.
'Ahh, I can see the Goblin king, Lord Lumin, eh? He's…kissing?' Terra whispered with disgust, watching as the goblin king was grabbing the ass of another female goblin while kissing her.
The rest of the male green goblins, their lower half covered with rags, were patrolling the village, and the women sat with the king, attending to his needs.
'Okay, knowing their leader is around is good enough for us.' Lumin responded; he had linked his mind with the rest of his subordinates, making it easy for them to communicate through telepathy.
'Should we attack now?' Isla asked, she was also hiding on a tree branch.
'Eh? No, that's just cowardly. We'll confront them first and if they prove stubborn…. Then we'll ambush.'
Alpha, kneeling inside the bushes where she could get a good look at the goblins, spoke -
"There are alot of them My lord, and we are only 8." She looked down at him.
"We'll be fine, besides, if things go wrong we have our ace in the hole, right, Beta?" Lumin glanced at Beta.
While the rest were hiding inside the bushes, Beta was the only one that stood up, resting her back on the tree with her arms folded.
"Beta will do as the Master commands. Although she sees no reason as to why we have to ask them to leave, surely they had to kill to also claim this land." She spoke.
Melfi chuckled weakly, "That's Lady Beta for you…always…so energetic."
"In any case, speaking to them is more justifiable. Let's go Alpha." Lumin ordered.
"Hai My lord."
Alpha stood up from the bushes and walked out, Beta immediately following behind them.
The moment Lumin and his subordinates stepped into the goblin's territory– arrows, blades, spikes and all forms of weapons were aimed at them.
"Intruder! We have intruders! Gather around!!!"
The goblins called for backup, every green goblin surrounding Lumin.
'Ahh, good, I can understand them.'
Lumin cleared his throat, immediately mimicking their language.
"Nice to meet you fellow forest dwellers," he said loudly.
They all stared at him for a while, moving around in groups, clearly on guard about the people in front of them.
"I would like to speak to the one incharge around here… I have a deal to make with them." .
"He has a deal? Deal! He has a deal to make with the Goblin king! Hahahah!" One of them shouted while pointing at Lumin with their wooden weapon.
"A deal?!"
"Foolish round monster wants to talk to the great one?!"
They mocked.
'Oh…so that's how it is.' Lumin watched as the goblins jumped around laughing, while the Goblin king paid no attention to what was going on.
"L.. Lord Lumin… are…they…making fun of you?" Alpha voiced out, energy leaking from her body as her eyes glowed. Memories of her first encounter with humans resurfacing.
"At the end of the day, they are only low intelligent monsters, the only reason they are able to communicate with actual words we can understand…is because of that guy…"
Lumin pointed his tentacle at the Goblin king.
'Since he evolved, the people under him did the same. If you are of no equal standing to his subjects or him, you have no pass in speaking to him. Law of nature of this world I suppose. And the only way to prove that is you are stronger is-'
"Beta." Lumin called out.
"Right." Beta immediately understood.
She stretched her hand forward, aiming it at the group of goblins standing before her.
Given the title of Olf by the world, Beta awakened an Ultimate and Unique skill.
Her Unique skill, Rebirth, granted her the ability to reincarnate herself if killed, resurrecting from her own ashes. Each time she is reborn, she becomes stronger with a slight increase in her mana and physical power.
Flames danced around her hand, her eyes taking a blue glow as she uttered–
"Barbatos,"
Her Ultimate skill Barbatos, lets her unleash a divine firestorm, which not only burns but purifies everything in its path.
But in this case.
"Burn!"
The blue flames charged from her palm and rushed towards the group of goblins before her.
Sneering everything to the ground, the blue beautiful flames burned the goblins to a crisp as they tried to run for their lives… but not a single soul could escape the wrath of the blue flames— Barbatos.
