"Su Sheng, are you home yet?"
Shu Jie had just finished her busy schedule and figured it would be the perfect time to call since Su Sheng must have parted with his classmates by now.
"Not yet, I've got some things to deal with outside. And you? What are you up to?"
Su Sheng kept his expression unchanged although he felt conflicted inside. He didn't know when exactly his relationship with Shu Jie had evolved beyond mere flirting and chance meetings.
"Are you still out with Zijun?"
Shu Jie could actually inquire about Su Sheng's location, but such questions shouldn't be asked too often, especially when there were no tasks at hand. Her Special Duty Team didn't need to monitor this man around the clock; there was a clear division of labor between undercover work and other duties.
"No, she's already gone home. I've got some personal matters. Uh, have you eaten yet?"
