"This is too scary, how are you guys doing, Wang Tie?"
Chen Feng shivered as he brushed the glass shards off his body, crouching in the passenger seat and not daring to look back.
The bodyguard in the back seat replied, "Young Master, I'm fine, just some minor injuries."
The bodyguard in the front, who was driving, was also fine, he continued driving until he reached a place safe enough to stop, only then did he realize that Wang Tie's arm in the back seat was drenched in blood.
This was no minor injury!
"Dammit, is that beggar man a monster?" Chen Feng was somewhat terrified, having never seen someone so formidable.
The two bodyguards were also deeply shaken. It should be known that they were retired special forces at their prime, but against that man from earlier, unless they had guns, they were basically no match. The difference in strength alone was too great; that man was like a human Tyrannosaurus, charging and crashing through everything.
"Young Master, that person is likely a Martial Dao expert, practicing an internal Fist Technique, and cold weapons are of little use against him. Look, how should we handle this aftermath?"
Chen Feng rubbed his temples and soon regained his composure, saying, "Pay off those hoodlums to take care of the aftermath, claiming it was infighting among themselves. As for that beggar man, don't provoke him for now, but get me his identity and background as soon as possible. We can't just let this go.
Right now, call more people over to protect me and gather the experts quickly. I refuse to believe we can't deal with a beggar man."
At the same time, police cars and ambulances arrived at the scene of the incident.
Everyone was shocked; was this really not a movie being filmed? The destructive power was unbelievably immense.
"Captain Shi, the investigation at the scene resulted in seventeen people, sixteen of whom are severely injured, and one shows no external injuries but is still unconscious. The specific case is under investigation."
"Help with treating the wounded first. Have the surveillance footage been retrieved?" Shi Yuan felt this violent assault case was probably not so simple.
The young officer replied, "Shu Jie has taken people to retrieve the surveillance."
While he was speaking, Shu Jie happened to come out of the elevator, her expression troubled and her thoughts in disarray. Holding a tablet in her hand, she struggled to say, "Captain Shi, take a look at this, it's hard to explain."
"What's hard to explain?"
Shi Yuan took the tablet, and upon opening the video, he saw a man with his back to the surveillance camera, while on the other side were all the injured persons.
"Bang!"
Even though the video had no sound, Shi Yuan could feel the explosion. That man actually punched someone and sent them flying with one hit.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
In an instant, everyone was sent flying. If it weren't for being at the scene of the accident, Shi Yuan would have thought those people were on wires; their flight was too unnatural.
The video finally froze on the back view of the man charging out with a steel pipe; Shi Yuan felt a chill to his core.
This person was too dangerous, and it seemed intentional that his face was never captured by the surveillance the entire time.
Just a back view is not enough for a data comparison, but why did he feel like he recognized that silhouette?
"What about the other surveillance cameras?"
Shu Jie replied, "Xiao Zhou and the others continue to check. Captain, don't you think that person could be...?"
"Who could it be, you recognize him?" Shi Yuan frowned; he thought it was familiar, but couldn't recall.
"The S-class files!" Shu Jie reminded softly.
"That Su Sheng from last night... no wonder, no wonder I found it familiar. Shu Jie, quickly get last night's surveillance and compare it." Shi Yuan felt there was no mistake, but dealing with someone from the S-class files was tricky. Even if captured, it would require successive reports and approval before any charges could be made.
Unexpectedly, Shu Jie whispered, "It's already been compared. The back view resemblance is ninety-nine percent; it should be him."
Captain Shi Yuan fell silent; it took him a while to speak, "Shu Jie, I'm giving you a task. First, investigate Su Sheng's information on your own. Once we have a clear investigation of the event, we will take the next step."
"Yes!" Shu Jie braced herself for the task, yet she couldn't guarantee the outcome in the slightest.
"Captain, one of the injured has woken up."
"Let's go and have a word."
It was the unconscious gang leader who had come to, finding himself alive but utterly terrified. Plus, this was an experienced thug, who claimed during questioning that he was just passing by, fainted due to low blood sugar, and knew nothing else about the incident.
Even more absurdly, this gang leader actually had a lawyer…
Shi Yuan immediately guessed that the man who had fought back was likely the real victim, though at the time, the situation seemed reversed.
Then an experienced detective analyzed the surveillance footage and reported, "Captain, the suspect appears to be trained, his moves resembling the Three Emperors Cannon Hammer, and with a hint of military boxing."
"Three Emperors Cannon Hammer, military boxing!"
Shi Yuan felt he was onto something and quickly instructed Shu Jie that the suspect, Su Sheng, might be from the military. Until they had more clarity, even if they encountered him, they could not arrest him rashly.
Hearing this, Shu Jie felt even more daunted. On deeper thought, she was genuinely afraid of being dragged by Su Sheng to "test out the guns"…
Speaking of Su Sheng, he left the parking lot pondering whether he should grab a drink. Distracted for a moment, he was involved in a car accident.
He saw everything in his line of sight, front, back, left, and right; damn, he'd been rear-ended.
Could this be wrong? On a six-lane road this wide, with traffic that wasn't even heavy, a rear-end collision still happens?
Turning on the hazard lights, Su Sheng got out of the car with some irritation. The fender bender was minor, but it was wasting his time and ruining his mood—that was the bigger issue.
The car that hit him was an imported Mercedes-Benz G-class, starting at over a million. His own Range Rover Velar, a top-spec limited edition, was barely over a million. But that's not the point; a rear-end collision is always the tailing driver's fault.
"How were you driving?"
The door to the Mercedes-Benz opened, and out stepped a red-haired girl wearing strappy high heels, with a youthful face, petite frame, dazzling earrings, and colorful clothing.
But how could this girl dare to be the first to accuse, not realizing who had been rear-ended?
Pointing to himself, Su Sheng blurted out, "Girl, are you sick in the head, or did the crash knock you senseless?"
"Who are you calling stupid? Who's knocked senseless?" retorted the red-haired girl, taking offense. How dare he call her stupid; this was far from over.
Su Sheng shook his head and glanced at the rear of his car.
Thankfully, it wasn't too serious; a bit of paintwork should do the trick, but it would certainly mean a day or two without his vehicle.
The real issue was the bad luck!
"I asked who you were insulting. You're also responsible for the accident. If you sincerely apologize, I might overlook your fault and we can each fix our own cars," said the red-haired girl, believing she was being quite generous. After all, her car was new, and hadn't even got its license plates before getting into an accident. Very bad luck, and who knows how she would explain this to her auntie when she got back.
"Uh, how did you get your license, don't you know that the one who rear-ends is always at full fault? I was going straight; there was no illegal lane change!" Su Sheng couldn't help but give her a look of pity for the intellectually challenged.
The red-haired girl was a bit baffled, "Rear-end full fault? Impossible. Don't try to trick me. Call the police, let them come to catch you."
"Good lord, did you leave your brain at home?"
Su Sheng held back, then held back some more.
If it weren't for the girl's delicate and lovely appearance and the pitiful look on her youthful face, he would have felt like walking over and slapping her awake.
Damn it, even if you call the police, it's still your full responsibility. Not only do you have to pay, but you might even end up with points deducted, for crying out loud.
