The heavy steel framework crisscrossed and densely covered the surroundings of the factory, reinforcing and supporting the entire space.
Various machines, equipment, and huge steel components filled the vast workshop, making it look like a world of steel.
Many of the machines were over ten meters high, and even Steve, who had worked in a factory before, had no idea what they were used for.
Even at night, there were still hundreds of workers busily working, but Steve didn't see any prisoners.
These workers wore uniform clothing, looked neat and energetic, clearly members of Hydra, but it was unclear where the captured Allied soldiers were being held.
At this moment, Chen Mo and Steve were standing on a platform more than ten meters high on one side of the factory. This was an exit on the fourth floor connected to the workshop, originally guarded by a Hydra soldier who was quickly taken out by the sudden appearance of Chen Mo and Steve.
"What are those…?" Steve asked, puzzled, looking at a special area in the factory where many cigar-shaped objects, five or six meters high, were neatly arranged, numbering in the hundreds.
It seemed that the entire factory was producing these large objects.
"Those are Hydra's latest super bombs. It looks like this is their bomb factory," Chen Mo replied, shocking Steve. Such huge bombs, and top-tier Hydra technology, must be incredibly powerful. Just one could completely destroy this base, and there were hundreds of them here.
Steve's guess was correct, but he still underestimated the power of these super bombs.
According to the information Chen Mo had, these super bombs were filled with a highly explosive material developed by Hydra, five times more powerful than TNT.
Each bomb contained thirty tons of explosives, equivalent to 150 tons of TNT, with a blast radius of over 500 meters. Their power far exceeded that of the "Father of All Bombs," and even in Chen Mo's time, they were formidable weapons, second only to nuclear bombs.
In an era without nuclear weapons, these were undoubtedly the most powerful weapons of mass destruction.
"What are they planning to do?" Steve asked gravely, unable to imagine the consequences if these bombs were dropped on Allied positions.
"Don't worry about that now. Let's find where the prisoners are being held first," Chen Mo said, knowing that these bombs were not just intended for the battlefield.
Reminded by Chen Mo, Steve remembered that their mission was to rescue the prisoners and find Bucky.
"This place is so big; how do we find them?" Steve asked, temporarily setting aside his worries about the super bombs and focusing on the rescue mission. As Chen Mo said, the priority was to rescue the prisoners, and other matters could be dealt with later.
"A large number of prisoners wouldn't be held in high places. For easier management, they should be on the ground floor or underground," Chen Mo, familiar with the base, knew that the captured Allied soldiers were being held in underground cells.
"We'll split up. Once you find them, evacuate immediately, as far as possible," Chen Mo instructed. If these bombs exploded, the entire base would be leveled, affecting an area within a kilometer radius.
Steve, concerned for Bucky's safety, nodded and headed downstairs to find the prisoners.
Chen Mo, however, didn't go downstairs but instead walked towards the upper levels of the base.
In the control room at the top of the base, Baron Strucker stood in front of the control panel, with a row of observation windows like an airport control tower in front of him. Through the glass, he could see the entire factory.
Under his orders, the captured Allied soldiers had been working since dawn and had only recently been taken back to the underground cells.
The doomsday plan was about to begin, and the supply of super bombs, the key ultimate weapon, had to be ensured.
If not for the need to maximize the use of these prisoners, Baron Strucker would have made them work 24/7. To him, their lives were as insignificant as ants. As long as he could rule the world, it didn't matter how many people died.
As he planned further attacks on Allied forces to capture more prisoners and increase super bomb production, intense gunfire and explosions suddenly erupted on the outskirts of the base.
Baron Strucker's face darkened as he turned to the monitors, seeing Hydra soldiers engaging in fierce combat with a group of Allied prisoners who had suddenly emerged from the base.
This Hydra base was located behind the German front lines, more than thirty kilometers from the front. As long as the front didn't collapse, they were very safe here.
The German front had always been stable, and no matter how fiercely the Allies attacked, they couldn't advance. Therefore, the defense of the Hydra base was very lax.
Following Chen Mo's guidance, Steve quickly found the captured Allied prisoners in the underground cells and successfully rescued them.
To Steve's delight, his good friend Bucky, whom he thought was dead, was among them.
Not mentioning Bucky's surprise at seeing the now much larger Steve, enhanced by the serum, Steve, having taken out many Hydra soldiers during the rescue, followed Chen Mo's orders and led the group to quickly evacuate the base.
As for Chen Mo, Steve wasn't worried. With the same equipment as himself and much greater strength, Chen Mo's safety was assured.
Steve believed that Chen Mo would soon join them upon hearing the commotion of their breakout.
Steve took the shield from his back, strapped it to his left arm, drew the sword from his back with his right hand, and led the group in a charge out of the base.
With his extraordinary strength and speed, fully armed and bulletproof, Steve led the breakout. The first Hydra soldiers they encountered were quickly taken down, and their weapons were seized by the rescued prisoners.
By the time they exited the base building, nearly half of them were armed.
The Hydra base, deep behind the front lines, was too lax in its defenses. They never expected the Allied prisoners, whom they treated as slave labor, to escape from the heavily guarded base building.
