Before Howard could continue asking why the martial arts school had these, Chen Mo waved his hand at the group, urging, "Hurry up and put them on. We're leaving immediately!"
Although Albert, Huang Quan, and the others were puzzled about when these strange outfits had appeared in the martial arts school, they each took one and obediently put them on.
These were the weakened version of the bulletproof armor used by the special forces. Chen Mo had several of them in his space, intending to bring them back for their use.
Originally, Chen Mo planned to take them out near the dock for Huang Quan and the others to change into. They wouldn't question Chen Mo's special methods. However, since Howard insisted on coming, he had to bring them out now.
The weight of several dozen pounds wasn't an issue for Huang Quan and the others. Even old Albert, despite being over sixty, was in good shape from regularly training with Chen Mo and the others. The only one struggling with the weight was Howard, who lacked exercise.
"Can I not wear this? It's too heavy and will affect my combat performance," Howard said, holding a set of armor and looking at Chen Mo with pleading eyes.
"Sure," Chen Mo said while helping the old butler put on the bulletproof armor. "Then you can stay home and wait. We'll be back soon."
"No, I'll wear it, okay?" Howard said, looking aggrieved.
After a while, everyone had put on the bulletproof armor. The black bulletproof fiber suits were embedded with angular, protruding armor plates, protecting almost all vital parts of the body. The knees, shoulders, and elbows had multiple independent armor pieces, ensuring tight protection without hindering movement.
Wearing the imposing bulletproof armor, everyone looked mighty and impressive, drawing attention.
At this point, Chen Mo brought out a pile of black combat suits for everyone to wear over the armor. It was better to stay low-key for infiltration missions.
Once everyone was fully dressed, Chen Mo, already in his black combat suit, with an M1911 pistol in each thigh holster and throwing knives at his waist, glanced at the ready group. He handed Howard a pistol and turned towards the door.
"Let's move out!"
…
Dock 6
The sky had darkened, and the dock workers had long gone home. The entire dock was only dimly lit by a few scattered lights.
Chen Mo and his group of seven were hiding in a concealed spot opposite the dock.
Carefully observing the situation around the dock, Chen Mo, with his keen senses, noticed someone hiding at the dock entrance, likely the gang member they were looking for.
After confirming there was only one person at the entrance, Chen Mo prepared to take action.
"You all wait here," he said.
Chen Mo quickly left the hiding spot, quietly circling to the side of the gate. The sentry he had spotted was just behind the wall.
Listening carefully to confirm the sentry's position, Chen Mo leaped over the wall and landed inside.
After a moment, Chen Mo peeked out from the gate and signaled for the others to follow. Albert and the others quietly ran over.
Dock 6 was a small dock, and at this time, it was deserted. Chen Mo listened carefully; the entire dock was silent except for some noise coming from the warehouse area in the distance.
Signaling for the others to follow, Chen Mo led the way towards the warehouse area.
Although the dock wasn't large, the warehouse area was filled with various-sized warehouses. Chen Mo led the group towards the location he sensed.
Along the way, they encountered two more gang lookouts. Chen Mo took them out with throwing knives from a distance before they even noticed.
At a corner, Chen Mo stopped.
Carefully peeking around, he saw an old warehouse guarded by several gunmen, indicating they had found the right place.
Chen Mo quietly scouted the warehouse and then returned to the group, whispering, "This warehouse has only one exit. You stay here and shoot anyone who comes out when you hear gunfire. Understood?"
"Understood!" they all nodded in unison.
Howard, excited about the imminent battle, was still a bit puzzled. "What about you?"
"I'm going in to rescue them!" Chen Mo replied.
Chen Mo quietly moved forward, avoiding the sight of the gunmen at the door. He climbed up the side of the warehouse, carefully stepping on the tiles, and slowly moved to the top without making a sound.
Squatting down, Chen Mo removed the tiles in front of him and looked into the warehouse.
In the center of the warehouse, tied to a pillar, were a woman and a child, their mouths gagged and faces streaked with tears. They were Wang Kun's wife and child.
Although they were terrified, they appeared unharmed. Chen Mo felt a sense of relief, thankful that they were okay; otherwise, he would have felt guilty.
Shifting his gaze, Chen Mo's eyes filled with killing intent as he looked at the gang members in the warehouse.
As expected, it was a trap. Besides Wang Kun's kidnapped wife and child, there were only two people guarding the hostages. However, hidden in the corners of the warehouse were over twenty gunmen. If Wang Kun had come alone, he would have been in grave danger.
Chen Mo felt a bit of fear, grateful that he had returned in time. He reminded himself not to underestimate the enemy and to eliminate threats at their inception.
If he had dealt with the two mafia families when they first started causing trouble, encouraging other forces to target the martial arts school, his subordinates' families wouldn't have faced this crisis.
Fortunately, it wasn't too late to act now!
Chen Mo's eyes flashed with a cold light as he threw two knives at the two men standing in the center. They were chatting when they suddenly felt a sharp pain in their heads and knew nothing more.
Before their bodies hit the ground, Chen Mo broke through the roof and jumped down.
He quickly cut the ropes binding the mother and child, picked them up, and rushed to a corner. He kicked a hiding gunman, sending the body crashing into the wall and falling to the ground with a caved-in chest.
The mother and child were stunned by the sudden events. When they saw Chen Mo's face, Wang Kun's wife finally reacted.
"Master!" she exclaimed with joy, as if seeing a savior in a desperate situation.
"Stay here with the child and don't move," Chen Mo instructed.
He then walked out of the corner. The other gunmen had just reacted and rushed out of their hiding spots. Seeing Chen Mo, they all pointed their guns at him.
"Who are you?" a burly man, seemingly the leader, shouted.
