"He's only seventeen!"
"But his Conqueror's Haki is almost on par with that of the great pirates of our time."
"This defies all logic!"
Sengoku and Zephyr were shaken to their core. They couldn't believe it; it was beyond comprehension. Especially after learning from Garp that Arashi had only been training for seven days.
"This isn't just a monster; it's..."
"A miracle!"
Sengoku's voice trembled slightly. He had never seen anyone like this—a young man who knew nothing but could already wield Conqueror's Haki and even master the advanced infusion technique, a skill reserved for the world's strongest.
"To knock out Sakazuki without harming anyone else nearby,"
"His control over Conqueror's Haki is remarkable!" Zephyr added.
As some of the strongest in the world, they could easily make an accurate assessment.
The three young prodigies of the Marine's new generation were indeed powerful, but they were still young and had only recently joined the Marines.
Kuzan, for instance, had been a Marine for just two years.
Yet, even they couldn't withstand this level of Conqueror's Haki; even some higher-ranking officers would struggle to endure it.
After calming his excitement and shock, Sengoku looked at Garp, who was not far away, scolding the black-haired boy with raised fists.
Sengoku suddenly smiled, feeling a wave of emotion. Kuzan and Borsalino were anxiously slapping Sakazuki's face, calling for a medic.
"Sakazuki, 28 years old."
"Borsalino, 31 years old."
"Both joined the Marines at the same time; they're both your students."
"Kuzan is younger, 22 years old."
Taking a deep breath, Sengoku's eyes fell on the young boy clutching his head in pain.
"And Garp's disciple, Arashi, is 17 years old."
"Yet he already has a higher starting point than the other three."
"If we guide and train him properly..."
A broad smile spread across Sengoku's face.
"I can already see the bright future of the Marines, the glory that awaits us. I see the young generation growing up, heralding a stronger Marine era."
Zephyr stood there, lost in thought.
"Zephyr, the burden of teaching the younger generation will fall on you again. Garp is too carefree to be a proper teacher. I'm worried Arashi might stray from the right path,"
Sengoku said with a sigh, looking ahead as the medics arrived and carried Sakazuki away on a stretcher.
"I understand," Zephyr nodded. The two then turned and left.
The G5 Fortress quickly buzzed with activity.
"Sakazuki lost?"
"A newcomer defeated Sakazuki in one move—rumor has it he's Vice Admiral Garp's disciple!"
"Another monster, huh?"
The brief battle spread throughout the base, and everyone soon talked about Arashi.
"What a terrifying monster, Mr. Arashi," Borsalino clicked his tongue in amazement, his eyes full of awe.
The overwhelming aura left him completely confused; it felt like his soul was trembling, unable to resist.
Sakazuki, who had joined the Marines at the same time as him a few years ago, had been taken down in a single blow. If that's not a monster, what is?
"Mr. Borsalino, you're the real monster," Arashi smiled.
Kuzan, sitting nearby, held his forehead in exasperation.
He glanced at the black-haired boy beside him, noticing the two large bumps on his head, stacked together like a black gourd embedded in his skull.
"By the way, Kuzan, have you heard the news?" Borsalino asked with a mischievous smile.
Kuzan asked with a puzzled expression, "What news?"
"It's about a commendation from Marine Headquarters for outstanding marines," Borsalino replied with a sly smile. Kuzan was taken aback.
"It's very likely that it's meant for the three of us," Borsalino continued with a grin, "But now, they might have to include Mr. Arashi as well."
Hearing this, Kuzan paused for a moment but didn't say anything.
"It could be a Devil Fruit, you know," Borsalino added, licking his lips. Kuzan's expression changed slightly. "That would indeed be incredible news."
Arashi listened silently, feeling a bit shocked by the possibility. If this commendation turned out to be a Devil Fruit, it could mean that the future Admirals would soon receive their signature fruits.
There has been much debate about when the Admirals obtained their Devil Fruit powers.
Some believe they had eaten the fruits before joining the Marines by chance.
Others argue that they gained their abilities while serving in the Marines, and it was these powers that helped them rise to prominence and earn the title of "monsters."
There's also a theory that after joining the Marines and proving themselves to be powerful "monsters," the organization specifically granted them three Logia-type fruits.
This last theory seemed most plausible to Arashi. The World Government's ability to secure fruits, as seen with CP9, suggests they had significant control over Devil Fruits.
Many powerful officers in Marine Headquarters also had Devil Fruit abilities, which supports the idea that the Marines could have a system to allocate fruits.
"Could it really be the distribution of three Logia-type fruits?" Arashi wondered.
In his previous life, Eiichiro Oda never explained the source of the Admirals' powers, leaving anime fans to speculate.
Now, in this world, he had been transported to, the reality might differ from the original story, and his presence could cause unforeseen changes.
"Additionally, there's been a lot of commotion about the situation in the Edd War in the New World recently," Borsalino said seriously.
"A major clash between pirates seems unavoidable."
"The whole world is watching this," Borsalino continued, "and Fleet Admiral Kong is on high alert at Marine Headquarters, preparing for any outcome."
Kuzan's face turned serious upon hearing this. Arashi quietly listened from the side.
He was well aware of the Edd War, the most dangerous battle for the Roger Pirates, where they almost fell to Shiki the Golden Lion's siege.
This battle demonstrated just how terrifying the three legendary pirates of this era were.
Their strength was nearly equal, and at this time, Shiki was at his peak, leading the strongest of the three forces.
In the following days, the G-5 Fortress was unusually calm, but Arashi could sense the tension in the air, the calm before the storm.
Marines from the headquarters were arriving in droves, gathering in preparation.
He continued to train in the Six Powers, waiting for orders from the Marine high command.
"The three legendary pirates," he thought to himself, "I'm looking forward to it."
