Monday morning came in a breeze. Eve had managed to reach Sun mi's agency somehow and now, they had scheduled a date on Tuesday which was just a day to come. Clarissa would be heading to the hospital once it was noon. She had already been planning ahead on the excuse to give Stella, being her superior at work.
Everything was going on just fine for her. After Eve had dropped her off, Clarissa strode in majestically, averting all gazes from people.
She sighted Liam who seemed fixed on a hard stare to the ground as he made a call. "Hmm, why does he looks so angry?" Clarissa muttered to herself. Suddenly, their eyes met. She smiled, walking proudly over to him. She would force him to head up together. After all of her investigations the other past nights, she needed to ask him why...
Liam gave her a cold look that sent shivers down her spine. What had she done now? Clarissa ignored the thoughts in her head. "Fine. I'll just have to go by myself." She concluded. Whatever was making him so angry, she didn't want to be apart of it.
However, Liam hung up and advanced towards her. Clarissa waited until he had reached her. "You look angry, but then, you seem to be full of surprises so I don't think that--"
"I see you haven't heard the news yet." Liam said, cutting her off.
Clarissa began with a frown, "news? What news?"
Liam looked around and sighed. "Clarissa, you're being framed. Apparently, you went behind the company's back and threatened poor, innocent Americans and Koreans sweetheart, Sun Mi, telling her to sign some forms for the project. Else, you would do all kinds of things."
As Liam began to explain, Clarissa could only stare with her mouth open in shock. "Wait, is this some sort of kdrama? Or a telenovela?"
"I'm serious, Clarissa. It's serious business, with Elan trying to settle things with sun mi's agency, and fans." Liam said sharply.
Clarissa turned around slowly and then, that was when she noticed it. Everyone were staring at her. Everyone damn one of these people.
Some began to point fingers and say loudly, "Yes that's her! I knew she was trouble the first day Smithons hired her!"
Some others were gossiping of how she was supposed to just remain on the loser's team.
"Isn't she trying too hard? She should just stay in a position and collet her salary in peace." Said one.
"Yea, all of these wanna bes! I hate her already." A lady replied to her friend, and they roared in laughter.
Clarissa could only stare as people began to gossip about her right in her face with no regards whatsoever.
Then two ladies walked in, stealing the scene with their tiny loud voices. Clarissa recognized them at once, one with flashy hair and the other on short bob.
"No wonder our dear friend, Desdra, has already warned us to beware of that Clarissa lady." The orange hair one said. She was making her voice loud enough for others to hear. In fact, she had gathered some people around and turned the company into a real market place.
"Honestly, Desdra was able to shed more light on the topic of how that lady was a total meanie! You remember Desdra has got games, and she recognizes some top people." The other friend began to say. "That was how she was able to hear about poor sun mi."
"You know sun mi was crying like a baby. I think she said Clarissa held a gun to her face!" Said the flashy haired one, and people gasped.
Clarissa couldn't take it again. Desdra? Of course, this could only mean Desdra's doing. But why? Why would this lady hate her to this very core! She made an effort to appear into their midst and suddenly wished she had a gun!...when Liam held her. She turned to him, eyes bloodshot red, but with just a slight shake of his head, Liam gestured she should stay.
"You don't want to add to this as it is." He said, finally. He leaned closer and whispered to her ears.
Clarissa pulled herself free from him. "You don't understand." Where was she supposed to begin with her explanation of how Desdra had always been a total bitch to her! "I didn't do it. I don't--I've never even met sun mi in my life!"
Liam was about to say something but the whole wide hall suddenly became quiet as people made way for the CEO with some other men on black behind him to walk in.
Clarissa just happened to sight Desdra peeping from a corner. Seeing her face alone was enough to infuriate her. With Liam's focus on something else, Clarissa ran like crazy over to Desdra.
"How dare you! What have I ever done to you? I don't deserve this from you, bitch!" She spat out, surprised at her own rage.
Desdra remained a calm face. It was as if she had been expecting Clarissa all along. And then, that slight raise of her cheek in an attempt to stir up Clarissa's anger worked just fine again.
Desdra would always smirk like that after she had done something so insulting to Clarissa's pride, then lie to Jared and make her the bad guy. She was doing that all over again! Except, this time, she meant to ruin Clarissa's life big time.
"You should have left when I told you to, nicely." She said, the smirk not leaving her face. "But now, it's too late. You're finished, Clarissa. This is only just the beginning of your demise. You can still quit though."
Desdra's eyes was calculative all of a sudden as she glanced carefully around her. Then, a hot slap landed on her own face. But Clarissa had not moved an inch from where she was.
What was that? Desdra slapped her own self?
Clarissa guessed what she was about to do. She would slap herself so hard so her cheeks would become flustered, then lie that Clarissa had done it! That was exactly the kind of low act Desdra was willing to pull. However, Clarissa decided to take advantage of the situation.
'No cameras around...' She noticed. 'No one is in sight yet...'
Then, out of nowhere that Desdra would have expected, Clarissa's rage fumed that an unexpected amount of strength filled her.
*Slap!*
It must have been so painful because traces of an Clarissa's hand looked to have been imprinted on her face. The look on Desdra's face alone was satisfying as she looked nearly on the brink of tears. Clarissa stood there like a villain, getting prepared as she expected the worst case scenario.
Desdra looked calculative again, holding on to her cheeks dearly. Then something, or someone made her expression to soften. She wasn't screaming again. What was her plan now?
A voice commanded behind. "Into my office now, Clarissa Hart!"
