As Adam sat on his table and stared at his textbook in front of him, he felt his phone buzz again and again.This time he decided to pick it up and check the message immediately.It was Theodore.
Theodore.
Hey, hows the studying going?
Adam's heart skipped a beat.He quickly tried to reply to his message without wasting time.
Adam:
It's going okay . How about you Theo?
Can I call you Theo?
Theodore:
Yaa you can call me Theo .It isn't a problem and you can call me whatever you like Adam. and What about your grandfather ? You mentioned things were getting better?
Adam hesitated for a moment , then decided to reply to his message."Yeah , he is not as mean as he was before and somedays age he talk to me good tone which I longed for.
Theodore: Thats good to hear. and don't study too hard and don't comprise your health and don't forget our plans to go outskirts .
Adam's who had forgotton this plan and smiling while typing ,"I won't forget it as you have reminded it.
Theodore said,"Okay then, I will tak to you tomorrow.
Adam's fingers hovered over the screen for some time before he decided to reply to Theodore message ,"Okay Bye take care!.
Adam had no idea what the future had held for him and where this feeling would lead to him But for rightnow he was gratefull to have Theodore in his life.
As Adam sat on his bed , still basking in the warmth of his conversation with Theodore.
Then he heard a soft knock on his door,which broke the silence of the room.
Adam got up from his bed, and open the door , to see his mother standing on the doorway.
"Adam, are you free? If you are then can we talk for a moment?"She asked, stepping into his room.
Adam nodded, walked straight to studytable and took out the chair from there and sat down on it.He could tell from her tone that this wasn't just a casual conversation. His mother sat on the bed, smoothing out a wrinkle in the blanket befor turning around him.
Adam, she began ," there are somethings which I think you should know about our family.I don't want you to be in dark about everythings especially since you are getting older and more aware about what's going around you .I don't want you to be cheated by someone because of your kind heart .
What future have held for us we don't know but I do feel there is one thing you know about it but don't tell us. and I will wait for you when you want to talk about it. And if someone says they know anything about our family whether it is good or bad don't trust him, Mother added.
Seeing the innocence in Adam's face ,His mother hesitated. She realized that Adam is not ready to face their family situation.But she could procced Adam asked in hurry, "Mom what secret are you talking could you tell me".
By seeing the eagerness in his face, Mother don't know ."how to say those words that your biological mother don't love you.".
Mother added , I will tell you if you passed your exam this time without falling sick".
Adam promised to his mother reagarding it
suddenly,"Mom, what does it mean when someone likes to do things for another person.
His mother paused, surprised by his question.She could sense that it might be one of thing which Adam had been thinking about deeply.
"Well, she began softly,"when someone likes to do things for another person,it usually meant that they care about that person in someway. I t could be out of love for that person, friendship, or simply desire to see that person happy.
Sometimes we do those things because it helps us to get closer to them and we feel connections with them taht makes us want to help them.
Adam nodded , reflecting on her words. He in particularly had been grapping with these feeling with Theodore.He wasn't sure what he was feeling reagrding Theodore but with his mother explanation gave him a bit of clarity.
It's Okay to feel in that way Adam,"his mother continued,"Caring for someone, and wanting to do things for them , is a natural part of building relationship. Just remember that you should always do what it feels right to youand don't be afraid to talk about your feeling to us when you are ready.
Adam smiled faintly, knowing that he could turn to his mother whnever he needed them.
"Son, whay are you asking me this? Do you have crush on someone?"Adam's mother asked him with gentle smile trying to see his reaction.
Adam not wanting to let his mother know about his feeling rightnow,he tried his best to sound nonchalant."No,it's not about me .It's just I heard someone talking about it in class and I, overgeard.I wanted to ask you about it.
His mother looked at him with knowing expression but chose not to press further. I see.Well, it's normal to be curious about these thing.
Okay then you study I will make something for you as it's my free day,She added.
Next day.
When Adam arrived at school, he received the exam routine, which outlined the schedule with one day off between each exam.
This break will be beneficial to all the student as it will give time to rest and prepare for the next subject.
Adam and Sam decided to make most of this by studying together for the entire week .
To make their study session more effective Adam decided to message Theodore, "If he wanted to join the group or not."
It didn't even took a minutes before Theodore replied,"Thanks, mate. I was going to ask you these same things and see our heart is connected and you asked me to join.
By seeing the reply Adam smiled faintly and replied ,"lets meet at canteen to discuss it more further.
