William's excitement was evident as he admired the house, exclaiming, "Wow, Mike! I didn't know you had such a beautiful place. And so many little flowers!"
Mike, with a hint of amusement, shook his head and thought to himself, Yeah, I didn't know either. It's a bit overwhelming sometimes.
Mike unclocked the door and welcomed everyone inside, asking them to settle in the hall. He and Harry then went to kitchen to grab some fruits and water bottles, helping everyone feel refreshed after the walk.
Once everyone was comfortable, Adam suggested to Mike that he should get his project work so they could start working on it together. As Mike retrieved his materials , the others got busy themselves with their own tasks. Adam focused on helping Mike with his project, ensuring they made good progress while the others continued with their work.
Sam was engrossed in copying the lectures from the first, second, and third periods, trying to catch up. Meanwhile, Theodore pulled out his physics paper and casually asked Adam for the question paper the physics teacher had given them.
As soon as Adam heard the word "physics," a wave of panic hit him. He suddenly remembered that he had completely forgotten to submit his physics assignment. A quick glance at Sam confirmed that he had forgotten too. Both of them exchanged worried looks, realizing they were in the same boat, with a deadline looming over them.
After finishing Mike's project work, Adam decided to take a short break. He went to the kitchen to grab some water and check his phone. The only message he found was from his grandfather:
"What type of camera do you want?"
Adam stared at the message for a moment, unsure of how to respond, so he decided to leave it unanswered for now.
Returning to the study area, Adam and Sam started working on some math problems together. Theodore was deep into his physics work, and the concentration on his face was intense. Meanwhile, Mike, Harry, and William were focused on their chemistry assignments.
After some time, Theodore's phone rang, breaking the silence in the room. He glanced at the screen and his expression quickly changed .He excused himself, went to the corner of the room and read the message. Without missing a beat , he quickly typed a response:
"No, this is not the right time.I'll tell you when to do so."
He then slipped the phone back into his pocket, his face expression turning normal, having calm demeanor as if nothing happened.
At 4 o'clock, Adam and Sam wrapped up their study session and headed their seprate ways. As they walked, Sam seemed a bit hesistant, clearly wanting to ask him about somethings but didn't have the guts to do so. He finally courage all this strength, he turned to Adam and said,"Hey, I watched this movie long ago. The characters were the best friends, but of them did something really harmful to the other because of some difficulties he was facing. If you were in that situation, would you be able to forgive that person?"
Adam paused for a moment, caught off guard by the question. He looked at Sam, trying to gauge the seriousness behind the inquiry, then softly asked, "Why do you ask? Is there something bothering you?"
Sam, avoiding eye contact, just shrugged and said, "Just curious, you know, movies make you think about stuff like that." But his tone suggested there was more to it than just a casual question.
Adam thought for a moment before replying," Maybe I could forgive him, maybe not. It would depend on the situation. Even if I did forgive, it doesn't mean I could forget the betrayal."He paused, make a quick glance at the sam with curious look."So, what happened at the end of the story?Did the first character forgive the second one.
Sam hesitated before answering, "No, I haven't seen the second season yet. I guess that's where it will all be revealed." His voice trailed off, and there was an unspoken tension between them, as if Sam was wrestling with his own thoughts.
"Boss, Adam sir went home safely," someone reported quietly over the phone. The person on the other end listened intently, acknowledging the update with a brief, "Good. Keep an eye on him, but don't let him notice. We need to make sure he is safe always.
The call ended, leaving an air of mystery which will be later unfloded.
As Adam entered the house, he was surprised to find his grandmother sitting in the hall as she was waiting for him. The moment Grandmother saw him, her face brighten up with joy. She quickly got up and rushed over to him, exclaiming,"Oh, my grandson, you're finally home!. You made your grandmother wait for soo long!"
She enveloped him in a warm, tight hug, and Adam, feeling a wave of affection, hugged her back just as tightly.
As they finally parted, Adam looked into her eyes and saw a mixture of pride and relief. His grandmother's smile was a perfect blend of happiness and contentment, reflecting how much she had missed him.
Adam smiled warmly at her and told her,"Grand mother I am going to freshen up. Grandmother gesture,"Okay", I will be waiting right here for you. Your father and grandfather will be home in about two hours, but don't worry. When your grandmother is around, there's nothing to fear."
When Adam Grandmother delivered her last line Adam cracked up a smile showing his teeth and even Grandmother chuckle at him.
He took a quick, refreshing shower, the warmth of the water helping him unwind from the day's events. Afterward, he changed into comfortable clothes and headed back to the hall where his grandmother awaited him.
Adam settled down next to his grandmother on the couch, and she leaned over, gently kissing his forehead.
Grandmother smiled warmly and said, "I've brought a lot of gifts for you, Adam. And last night, your grandfather reminded me that you wanted to study photography. So, once you finish your exams, I'll buy you a camera. How does that sound?" Her eyes twinkled with excitement, and Adam's face lit up with joy as he thanked her for the thoughtful gift.
