As they were all changing their gears , Sam secretly took out his phone and sent a quick message:,I have brought him here as per your request. Once the message was sent and receive Sam immeditely deleted the message and not want to leave any trace behind it.
Sam called out to Adam. Hey it's getting late. We have been here for two hours already. Let's head home." Adam, who had been chatting with Theodore, reluctantly agreed. "Okay, bye Theodore," he said with a small wave, feeling a pang of sadness as he walked away.
Theodore waved back with a polite smile, but as soon as Adam was out of sight, the smile vanished from his face. His expression stifen , and he turned to his friends with a cold, disdainful look. "Throw these gears away," he ordered, his voice dripping with contempt. "They've been touched by that fool."
His friends quickly complied, gathering the gear and tossing it aside without a second thought. As they did, Theodore's mind lingered on the encounter with Adam, the disgust he felt barely hidden behind his composed exterior.
Following Theodore's harsh words to Adam, his friend Mike came up to him looking serious. He took Theodore aside and whispered, "If you can't even stand to be near him why go through all this? Why not just deal with him once and for all?"
Theodore gave a smirk, his eyes cold and calculating. "If I wanted to kill him, it would end fast causing a bit of pain for him and his family. But that's not my aim," he said with an eerie calm. "I want him to never ever recover from the pain which i will bring to him.
Mike frown detecting hidden stress. "Theodore, you won't listen to me, I know, but I think we're missing something big here. Your ideas and beliefs, your reasons for doing all this, the story has too many gaps. I think you're prejudiced against him, and you might be acting on partial information."
Theodore squinted, but Mike spoke up before he could cut in. "We shouldn't rush to harm him. We need to uncover the real facts ourselves, not just depend on what our father said. As your cousin, I'm asking you to hear me out this time. I won't take no for an answer."
Theodore kept a stern look, but Mike's statement seemed to resonate with him. A short quiet followed as the importance of their talk lingered highlighting the clear tension between them.
Mike felt the tension and wanted to make things lighter. He grinned and teased, "Hey Theodore, I wouldn't mind having a brother-in-law instead of a sister-in-law. Adam's pretty cool, you know—he might be a good match for you."
He laughed hoping to lift the serious mood between them. Theodore didn't expect this joke, and for a second, his cold front seemed to break. He rolled his eyes, with a tiny smile starting to show on his face.
"That's hilarious, Mike," Theodore shot back, his words dripping with sarcasm. But the mood lightened a bit, their serious talk from before softened by the friendly teasing.
Mike replied while gigling listen I am serious you never know when you will fall for him.., I noticed you are quite happy when you are with him.
"Don't joke around Mike said", Theodore with his face emmiting cold aura. Okay I will not say it again , why being so serious huh Theo said Mike while laughing.
After they had sorted out everything both Mike and Theodore went to their Brother Liam Company to talk to their brother regarding this.
As evening neared, the sun sank low, coloring the sky with beautiful color with orange and golden hues.
The evening air hummed with soft birdsong and faint chatter, creating a serene and calm atmospherea.nd people chitchat surrounding them
Adam and Sam reached their parting point. They parted with farewells and went separate ways. Adam stopped at the department store for some chocolate as a nighttime snack before heading home.
Yet, upon entering his house, Adam's cheerful mood suddenly shifted. He saw his grandfather in the living room, deep in lively talk with the family. The scene radiated warmth and joy, but Adam paused, reluctant to break the peaceful, happy mood.
Just as he was about to quietly slip to his room, his grandfather's voice rang out firmly, "Adam, come here!" The commanding tone cut through the tranquil evening, drawing Adam's attention back to the gathering.
Adam slowly descended from the stairs ,clutching his chocolate tightly in his hand.He then placed them on the table ,trying to steady his face expression as he approached his grandfather, who was chatting animately with the family members in the hall.
"Good Evening ,Grandfather." Adam said, his voice quivering slightly. "How are you doing?"
His grandfather turned with a warm grin, though her eyes held a sharpness that made Adam uncomfortable. "I'm fine, Adam, And yourself?"
"I'm good replied Adam trying to keep himself cool and his voice steady.
The grandfather gaze didn,t remove from Adam face."How are your studies going and what plan you have for your future.
Adam felt a knot in his stomach ."Everything is fine," Grandfather and about the future studies. I've not made any plans and I need to ask these thing to big brother so that i can choose what to study in future.
Adam kept glancing at his Mother to help him out.
Mother sensing him called out for ,"Adam you go and shower first then we will have some snacks."
