Long Ao stood watching, deep in thought. He remembered when he first found out about these invaders. He knew he had to study them, but so far he'd only found four. One was part of an experiment he soon died after, another was his old student, and the last two were training with Master Choi.
The method he used to locate these invaders was understanding of the heavens. The heavens restrict the thoughts and innovation of its children; they can never think outside the boundary the heavens set. It's also why this realm never advanced with civilization even after millions of years.
Invaders, on the other hand, were capable of bypassing the restrictions set in place. The more an invader contacted the inhabitants of the three worlds, the more the reaction would ripple, creating chaos and a spread of newly thought ideas. If the heavens couldn't restrict these invaders' thoughts and experiences of their previous world, then they needed to restrict something else.
The moment these invaders enter any of the heavenly dao territory, they are given the black luck grace. Long ao scoffed; grace was far from the truth. The black luck will bring misfortune upon these outsiders, their talent will be the lowest.
From having no spiritual root and having a bad comprehension of the dao, how could they make a ripple in heaven's domain? The only reason Long ao didn't give these two invaders Wang Hao and Mu Mein the fake spiritual root was to test their luck. If they cannot overcome the luck that has been placed upon them, then they are not worthy of creating a ripple.
His plan spread across countless years. Long ao would not gamble on this two. If they didn't show their resolve, if one of the other contenders, someone won, then that too would work in his grand scheme. It did not make a change in his plan at all. But that didn't mean he didn't have high hopes for these two.
As he looked at the training figure afar, two practice swords in hand practicing, the white tiger manual required swordmenship to work at its fullest potential. Long Ao kept his distance, but with a wave of his hand, two unknown Gu shot out of his sleeve, directing toward the two wooden practice swords.
Mu Mein did not notice the change at all, and the two Gu situated on the two practice swords, engraving themselves. Long ao smiled, 'An enchantment effect, the girl could make use of these two Gu, the unity effort gu. It will allow her to practice twice as fast, wielding these two practice swords.'
Long ao soon vanished. He wanted to see the other mountains; it was a week since they arrived. He wanted to see if they made themselves at home. Lin fu, practicing the three stances of the vermilion manual, was seen practicing kicking the air at high speed.
Long ao's evaluation of him was: Lin fu was ruthless, reckless, savage, no demeanor, no manners, and acted with no regard for his teammates' safety. He was not the perfect leader but would be the perfect follower. But his pride would not allow it.
Long ao was looking below as he flew; nobody saw him, as he was invisible to them. To them, he was merely a passing breeze. Unseen and unwanted.
As much as Lin fu had flaws, he too had his strengths.
Lin fu did a high kick; the speed was so fast, it became a blur. Its speed outmatched all the contenders on the island by a long shot. This Lin Fu was a martial genius, at the very pinnacle.
Long ao looked down. He knew of this Lin fu's potential, but he needed the right circumstances to truly see its potential. A mortal that wants to fly through the heavens, grand ambition, but does not know how dense the clouds are.
Shame, Long ao pondered back, when he recruited this Lin fu, he wanted this person to be a stepping stone for Wang Hao. He wanted Wang Hao to have a challenge, to test his limit. Somebody that has Wang Hao's ruthlessness, but not mindset. It was like Wang Hao looking at a mad version of himself when he was staring at Lin fu.
That was the effect Long Ao wanted, so he released Lin fu in gate fourteen early. He looked at Lin fu: third-rate warrior, but his speed can match that of a second-rate warrior. Given a month of practice, maybe a third rate. A genius, no matter the mindset, was still a genius. His future was limitless, so were his uses.
Long ao did not leave a gift or advice for this Lin fu. Long ao watched the events; the moment these contenders entered this secret realm.
Long Ao was watching everything. This Lin fu was a wild card; he grew up in the Light White Mountain, where he learned to kill and hunt at a young age. A savage he was, but he can be loyal under the right circumstances.
