Later that day, across the campus, Pinoy was in his room. He had taken some of Yoshi's blood earlier and was experimenting on it with just one arm. His other was still missing and Taiyo refused to bring it back. So, he decided to reconstruct it himself.
He took Yoshi blood and put it under a microscope. It took several hours of searching and tweaking, but eventually he found what he was looking for; small traces of phoenix DNA. It was from back when Yoshi got the phoenix vital from Alice.
He carefully extracted the DNA and started trying to engineer his own version of the vital to restore his arm. After only a few hours of testing, he had perfectly re-engineered through vital. But when he infused it with one of his cells, the cell decayed, and the vital failed.
"Damn it. Having one arm sucks so much." Suddenly, there was a knock on his door. "Come in."
Yoshi walked into his room. "Pinoy, Maroon's calling us out. Our other teacher has just arrived."
"Right now? Alright, then."
Yoshi and Pinoy walked out of the room together.
"Hey, Pinoy. How have you been since..."
"He's not Voldemort. You can say his name."
"... Star."
"Well, having one arm sucks, but at least I still have my life. Too bad there isn't a keeper ability that gives healing properties. Only phoenix vitals can do that and Star has them all. That jackass has a monopoly on all keeper products."
"He also controls health care, education..."
"Do you think killing him is the best course of action?"
"Doesn't matter what I want. I'm not strong enough to kill him. Alice on the other hand..."
Pinoy and Yoshi went outside to meet the others. There, they meet Maroon standing there with another woman. The girl had long blonde hair and big green eyes. She had a gorgeous face with ample curves. She wore a white dress that exposed her cleavage, sideboobs, back, and thighs. She had white leggings and white heels.
"Everyone," Maroon said while looking at them. "this is Colette. While I'll be helping you with the combat side, she'll be helping you with the technical and educational side."
"Hello, everyone." Colette said with a smile on her face. "I'm pleased to meet all of you. Let's get along great."
The next day, Taiyo was walking out of a room with the higher-ups. They rejected her offer to stay and cast her own. They no longer feared her due to Alice defeating her, meaning now, Alice was their number one fear. Taiyo walked out, sitting outside their building.
"This sucks. How am I supposed to use Alice now? All my plans are ruined."
"Are they?" said a mysterious voice from beside her. She turned to see the figure and her eyes widened with shock and fear. It was a good-looking middle-aged woman that had orange eyes and light black hair that was purple on the inside. She wore a white and red kimono that stopped at her thighs and revealed the top of her arms. She had black fingerless gloves and had four katana on her hips.
"I-Impossible..."
"You're strong, Taiyo. You are, after all, the 3rd highest-ranked zenith classkeeper in the world, and the strongest in all of Japan. You should realistically not lose to anyone, but my creation is an exception."
"N-Nubia, is that really you?"
"Yes. I can continue my research and experiments."
"You just left as, you asshole!"
"Watch your tone with me, Taiyo. Remember, I could erase you from existence just with a thought."
"... You just told me to take care of your daughter. You just uppin left us one day and nearly a decade later, you tell me to take care of your daughter."
"Don't call that failed creation of mine 'my daughter.' That freak of nature was nothing more than an experiment gone wrong."
"Did you not literally push her out of your vagina? You know what, whatever. Why did you come here? What do you want me with me?"
"I want you and Star to kill that boy my creation is so obsessed with."
"Why?"
Nubia raised her hand. From it, a holographic screen started to project a recording. It was when Alice when Yoshi was protecting her from Star. "Do you know the reason I discarded Alice and left her to my insignificant other?"
"No, why?"
"Because she didn't portray the test results I wanted. As a scientist, it's my job to learn, discover, develop, and evolve. Alice was created to be the strongest keeper ever, even being able to one day surpass me. But she was pathetic as birth, so I left her to that fool of a husband of mine. But then, right here. During the fight, she unlocks a small fraction of that dormant power I left within her."
"So, you want me to kill Yoshi, so it will mind break her and the tragedy will force her into breaking the seal on her powers?"
"Precisely."
"Ok, but what's in it for me?"
"Well, first, let's see if Star succeeds."
"You know I still have my own mission to finish, right?"
"If you help me get this thing to its full power, then I'll instantly make your goal happen for you. I have the power to do so."
"Why don't you just do this yourself?"
"Because, as I said, her true self is far stronger than me. So much stronger, I can't even alter the very fabric of reality to touch h her. At full power, the boundaries of existence become meaningless to her. That is what she was made to do. I as her creator have said so. I'm the reason she's still alive. Her null is so unstable, it wipes out all matter and energy when she uses it. The only reason the universe is still intact is because I will it to be so."
