The air was thick with tension as I stood alone, staring down the cape buffalo leader at the edge of the cliff. The landscape around us was wild and unforgiving—loose stones, jagged rocks, and the sheer drop that with any slight misstep threatened to swallow us both. The wind whipped across the plateau, a constant and vivid reminder of the precariousness of my situation. I could hear the distant sound of flowing water, but right now, it was just me and this massive beast, locked in a deadly standoff.
