Will's world went dark as he watched in horror. Naomi's bullet hit Marcus with a sickening thud, sending him crumbling to the ground.
"No!" Will screamed, his heart shattered into a million pieces.
Naomi turned to him, her eyes cold and dark. "You should have stayed out of this, Will."
Kareem's goons closed in, their guns trained on Will. He knew he was finished.
But then, something unexpected happened. Naomi's eyes flickered, and for a moment, Will saw a glimmer of doubt.
"Naomi, don't!" a voice shouted from the shadows.
Out stepped a figure ,Will never expected to see again - his mother.
"Mom?" Will stuttered, his mind drowned in confusion.
His mother rushed forward, her eyes locked on Naomi. "You promised me you'd keep him safe."
Naomi's expression faltered, and for a moment, Will saw a glimmer of the person she used to be.
But then, her mask slipped back into place. "I'm sorry, Rachel," she said, her voice cold. "But this is too big. I have to see it through."
And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Will's mother to rush to Marcus's side...
Will's mother cradled Marcus's head in her lap, tears streaming down her face. "No, no, no," she whispered, her voice breaking with grief.
Will's heart was shattered into a million pieces.
He couldn't believe what was happening Naomi, the person he trusted, had betrayed him. And now, his brother was dying in front of him.
With a surge of adrenaline, Will launched himself at Naomi, but Kareem's goons were too strong. They held him back, their grip like a vice.
"You're a monster," Will spat at Naomi, his eyes blazing with anger.
Naomi didn't flinch. "I'm just trying to survive," she said, her voice cold.
Will's mother looked up, her eyes flashing with anger. "You're not even human," she spat.
Naomi's expression faltered for a moment, but then she regained her composure. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice filled with insincerity. "But this is just business."
With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Will and his mother to deal with the aftermath.
As they waited for the ambulance to arrive, Will's mother told him the truth. "Naomi was working with me to take down Kareem," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But she got in too deep. She became consumed by her own ambition."
Will's mind was racing with confusion,He couldn't believe what he was hearing Naomi, the person he trusted, had been playing him all along.
The ambulance arrived, and Marcus was rushed to the hospital. Will and his mother followed close behind, their hearts heavy with grief.
As they sat in the hospital waiting room, Will's mother told him the rest of the story. "Naomi was once a good person," she said, her eyes sad.
"But Kareem got to her. He corrupted her, turned her into one of his own."
Will's anger was building, his desire for revenge growing with every passing minute.
But then, something unexpected happened. Naomi walked into the waiting room, a look of determination on her face.
"I'm sorry," she said, her voice sincere for once. "I was wrong to betray you. I want to make it right."
Will's mother looked up, her eyes narrowed. "How can we trust you?" she asked.
Naomi hesitated, then pulled out a small device from her pocket. "I've been gathering evidence against Kareem," she said. "I can take him down, but I need your help."
Will's mind was racing. Could he trust Naomi? Or was this just another trick?
But then, he looked at his mother, and saw the hope in her eyes. Maybe, just maybe, they could finally take down Kareem and get justice for Marcus.
"Okay," Will said, his voice firm. "Let's do it."
And with that, the unlikely three formed an alliance, determined to take down Kareem and his empire once and for all...
Naomi handed Will's mother a small flash drive. "This contains all the evidence I've gathered," she said. "Financial records, witness statements, everything we need to take down Kareem."
Will's mother took the flash drive, her eyes narrowed. "What's in it for you, Naomi?" she asked.
Naomi hesitated, then looked away. "I want immunity," she said. "I want protection for my family."
Will's mother nodded. "Deal," she said. "But if you're betraying us again, you'll regret it."
Naomi nodded, a small smile on her face. "I'm not betraying you," she said. "I'm trying to make things right."
Will wasn't so sure, but he pushed his doubts aside. They needed Naomi's help to take down Kareem.
Together, the three of them hatched a plan. They would use the evidence to go to the authorities, to expose Kareem's empire and bring him to justice.
But as they were about to leave, Kareem's goons burst into the hospital room, guns drawn.
"You think you can take me down?" Kareem sneered, his eyes blazing with anger. "I'll never let that happen."
Will's heart was racing, but he stood tall. "We have the evidence," he said. "You're finished, Kareem."
Kareem laughed. "You'll never leave this hospital alive," he said.
And with that, the goons moved in, their guns trained on Will, his mother, and Naomi...
The goons closed in, their guns drawn. Will's heart was pounding his mind racing for a way out. But then, Naomi sprang into action.
With a swift kick, she took down the first goon. Then, she grabbed Will's mother and pulled her to safety.
"Get down!" she yelled at Will, as she took down another goon.
Will hit the floor, his heart pounding in his chest. He looked up to see Naomi taking down the rest of the goons, her movements swift and deadly.
But then, Kareem appeared, a gun in his hand. "You're a dead man," he sneered at Will.
Naomi tried to intervene, but Kareem was too strong. He pushed her aside and aimed the gun at Will's head.
Will closed his eyes, waiting for the end. But then, he heard a loud crash.
He opened his eyes to see Kareem stumbling back, a look of shock on his face.
And then, Will saw him. Marcus, his brother, standing in the doorway, a gun in his hand.
"I don't think so, Kareem," Marcus said, his voice cold.
Kareem tried to run, but Marcus was too quick. He grabbed Kareem and slammed him against the wall.
"It's over," Marcus said, his eyes blazing with anger.
But then, just as Will thought it was all over, he heard a loud noise coming from outside the room.
It sounded like... helicopters.
And then, a voice came over the loudspeaker. "This is the police. We have the building surrounded."
Will's heart was racing. What was going on?
And then, he saw Naomi's face. She looked shocked, scared.
"What have you done?" she whispered to Marcus.
Marcus just smiled. "I called in a favor," he said.
But then, the lights went out, and everything went black...
