Chapter 4 - A Lovely Runny Pack of Little Runt.

(It's really convenient that they're held near the same place as ours too!)

Almost too good to be true too. Its feels like a trap.

'I'm going to take my chances. After this, it's straight to Xavier's school and try to get them find Wolverine and Rogue or put the kids with them while we tried to find our parents.'

If the memories of the scientists and the files were accurate, his parents were likely amnesiac and feral, and his siblings weren't in much better shape than him either as he got his humanity from some sort pseudo reincarnation he got going. He hesitated as he approached X-20's chamber. The boy inside looked a lot like Daken from the comics but with auburn hair like their mother. He hoped this version still had some humanity and wasn't the psychopathic 5-year-old he feared.

As Wade entered, Ken—his dubbed new name for X-20—, since he couldn't call his brother some kind of Labrats (Really creatives) Why not just call him Daken already? Well, he didn't really want him became more like his psycho self like his name in the comics, called it superstition if you will, but he not gonna take the chances, X-23 or Laura probably could be saved but Daken is downright a psychopath.

The 5 years old boy was real feral, his eyes wild, lips curled back to reveal sharp teeth. He charged at Wade without hesitation, claws of his own extending from his hands. Ken attacked him with a feral snarl.

Wade blocked the attack, grabbing Ken by the scruff of his neck. He growled low in his throat, channeling the animalistic side he'd inherited from their father. The sound seemed to reach Ken on some primal level. The boy froze, his eyes wide with fear as he whimpered in submission.

"Sorry, lil bro. It's okay. I'm here to rescue you. I'm your brother. We're from one pack, and we're going to find Mama and Pops, okay?"

"Bro? Mama? Pops? Pack?" Ken's voice was a broken whisper, his eyes searching Wade's face for any sign of deceit. Ken sniffed Wade, finding that his scent is kind of familiar before relaxing a bit. Maybe this version of Daken still could be saved.

"Yeah, Mama and Pops. Let's go. We're going to rescue our sister too. Laura's down the hall. Then maybe we can play with our captors a little bit, huh, Ken?"

"Ken?"

"That's your name. Your name is Ken now, I have dubbed you Ken, so you are Ken now. What the hell I am saying? Anyway, my name is Wade, I am your brother. We have a sister is whose name is... Is... Ah what the hell, her name is Laura, well, she is Laura now I guess, I don't really know what our parents named you two... Mama is Anna Marie, and Pops is James or Logan. You'll probably need that information because you gonna be in school after all this over. You hold on to my back, and I'll need to pop us over to Laura."

Ken nodded while looking really confused at his now brother unhinged rambling, he also still wary but no longer hostile.

Wade slung him onto his back, carrying him like a backpack as he made his way to Laura's containment unit. He moved quickly, knowing the guards wouldn't be far behind. Ken clung harder to Wade like a backpack as Wade used Wraith's phasing teleportation for the first time to reach Laura's chamber.

Bad idea…

'UHH, Teleporting is good but the headache is not really worth it in the long run!'

(You should really start using your brain a little bit better, trying the teleportation with a alive baggage in your back is not really a good idea for a first time teleportation.)

When Wade reached Laura's cells, he felt a pang of dread. The room was cold, sterile, and Laura—X-23—was huddled in the corner, her small frame trembling. She looked up as Wade entered, her eyes wide with fear. Like Ken, she was feral, growling and hissing at the intrusion. Probably because she was only 3 years old but she was completely non-verbal, hissing and growling at Wade and Ken. Somehow, Wade thought it as kind of cute. Wade groaned as he knew she'd be the death of him if he didn't thread this carefully.

(Oh, we've got a Sis-con alert! Sis-con alert!)

"Hey, hey, calm down, um... Laura, it's me, your big brother. Wade." He kept his voice calm, trying to reach her through the haze of fear and anger. "I'm here to get you out, Umm, do you understand me?"

Laura's eyes narrowed, suspicion written across her face. She bared her teeth, her claws slowly extending. Wade knew he had to act fast before she attacked. He dropped to one knee, holding out a hand to her.

"See? I'm just like you. We are family, umm, we're from the same pack yeah?" He popped his claws, showing her the familiar weapon. Laura hesitated, her gaze flicking between Wade's face, his claws and her claws. Something in her seemed to shift, her body relaxing as she recognized the similarities. Slowly, she inched closer, sniffing at Wade's hand before lowering and retracting her claws.

"There you go, sis. It's okay. I've got you." Wade gently scooped Laura into his arms, cradling her against his chest. She was light, almost fragile, but he could feel the strength coiled within her small frame. "We're getting out of here, together."

With Ken on his back and Laura in his arms, the facility's door suddenly closing off really fast, signalling the full lockdown of the building. The red emergency lights flash ominously, casting long shadows in the sterile corridors. Wade's heart pounds as he realizes that the real challenge has just begun.

(Oh great, the 'get-out-of-jail-free' card just got revoked. Time to improvise, Wade!)

You should watch out for guards! You really did a number on their late friends!

"Okay, little sibs, change of plans. They know we're out. We have to move fast—no more sneaking around."

(Wait, we were actually sneaking around before?)

It was more like a massacre in my humble opinion.

Ken growls, still on edge, while Laura grips Wade's arm, her small claws lightly digging into his flesh as she glances around nervously.

Wade leads his siblings through the labyrinthine corridors, using Bradley's technopathy to hack into the facility's systems. The building is a maze of high-tech security, including automated turrets, laser grids, and blast doors. Wade uses his enhanced reflexes to guide the group through these traps, relying on split-second timing and precision to avoid triggering alarms.

Or you know, you could use Bradley's powers more efficiently? Do you really think you could acrobat through all of that with two toddlers clinging on your body?

"And where the fun and thrills of that! Beside we got the Wolverine healing factor! And the kids seemed to enjoy it as well!" Wade said as he looking at two of his siblings who seemed to have fun amid the deathtraps they had gone through.

Wade crouches low as a series of laser grids activate ahead, moving in erratic patterns designed to be impossible to predict. He watches carefully, his mind racing as he calculates the pattern. Oh, well if his body touched those laser he probably can just regenerated later so he just darts forward the laser.

(Whoever designed this place must have been a big fan of laser shows. Maybe we should've brought glow sticks.)

Oh, look! It's a deadly version of Twister! Who's ready to play?

"Stay close kids! This is going to require some fancy footwork. Cue the music!!!"

Wade begins weaving through the lasers, his body is dancing, twisting, and turning with the precision of a trained acrobat. In his mind he played the song Lets Get It Started by Black Eyed Peas as he dances through the laser course. Ken clings tightly to his back, while Laura is securely nestled against his chest. Both smiling and laughing while their brother funkily avoided the laser. Halfway through the grid, just as Wade makes a particularly sharp turn, Ken's grip slips, and he falls from Wade's back.

(UH oh! MAN DOWN! MAN DOWN! I REPEAT MAN DOWN!)

RIP Lil Bro, but isn't he got super regenerative power too? I don't think we need to be that worried.
