Chapter 11 - Devil is back.

Cu Anyi quickly moved to the table and started eating her soup.

"Hmm... let me just let you know what we are going to do," Su Mei began, but before she could continue, there was another knock at the door.

Cu Anyi placed her bowl down and opened the door to find Butler Zheng standing with a box.

Su Mei frowned at the sight but maintained her composure. Butler Zheng stepped forward and, with a slight smile, extended the box towards her.

"Young Miss, Young Master asked me to pass this to you when you returned," he said in a single sentence, leaving Cu Anyi in awe.

'Damn... he was quick,' Anyi thought, impressed by how adept Butler Zheng was at his duties.

Su Mei understood immediately that he had found out what happened. It was no surprise; he was always quick with these things.

"Cu Anyi, meet Uncle Zheng. He was my father's personal assistant and, in the future, he will assist my brother," Su Mei said as she stood up and spoke composedly.

Hearing himself referred to as Uncle Zheng made him feel blessed.

"Good... good..." he said, his tears of happiness almost spilling over.

"Sorry for all the trouble, Uncle Zheng... I've caused you all so much struggle," Su Mei said, bowing her head.

"No... No... Young Miss, both Young Master and I know it's not your fault," Butler Zheng quickly said.

"Here is the box... Young Master asked me to pass it to you." He smiled and handed her the box.

"Uncle Zheng... My boss tried her best to act... how did you find out?" Cu Anyi asked, still curious.

"At first, I had my doubts, but then the bank withdrawal from the account—only Young Master and Young Miss use it—confirmed my suspicion. I was instructed by Young Master that when Young Miss used that account, I should pass her this box." He smiled and replied politely.

"Indeed... he is as meticulous as he is," Su Mei said with a smile as she unlocked the box.

Inside were several properties and documents, all looking new. Her brows furrowed as she began to piece together what was happening.

"So he is the hidden CEO of 'Nobel Path'?" Su Mei asked as she reviewed the documents.

Hearing this, Cu Anyi felt like she had been hit harder than she ever imagined. 'Nobel Path? Are you serious?' She felt as if she had been transported to a different space where everything had suddenly changed.

"Ahm... Sorry to disturb, but boss, are you talking about the law firm that represents large corporations, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals in Country Y?" Cu Anyi asked carefully.

"Indeed... As soon as you regained your memory, Young Master asked you to distance yourself from these people. He said he would handle them," Butler Zheng said.

Hearing this, a vicious smirk appeared on Su Mei's face. She looked just as Cu Anyi had described her: 'beautiful yet wrathful.'

"Uncle Zheng, you've known me for 25 years now. Have you ever seen me walk away and give up before I had my accident?" she asked, sending chills down Butler Zheng's spine.

"But Young Master warned me to take you away the moment you recovered, as the enemy is too hard to handle," Butler Zheng said with concern.

"Oh... then that's even more reason for me to stay and help my Gege," Su Mei said with a smile. Butler Zheng felt helpless—this smile of hers was always a warning that the conversation was over and she would act like the stubborn brat she was.

Su Mei stood up and walked towards the glass window, opening it to let the cool breeze touch her face.

"Uncle Zheng, you know me well. I will meet Gege and explain. From here on out, I need to get him out, then treat my parents, and finally, take my sweet revenge. People must have forgotten how troublesome I can be. Let me show them personally," Su Mei said with another smile.

"Uncle Zheng, please correct me if I'm wrong... she looks so pure when she smiles but also so dangerous at the same time. Please tell me I'm wrong and just delusional," Cu Anyi said, gulping.

"My Young Miss has never been pure... she is the real devil in action. Thanks to her parents and Young Master who kept her in check, she was less troublesome. But now that she is out on her own... I'm worried..." Butler Zheng paused.

"About her?" Cu Anyi asked.

"No, I'm worried about the people who have irritated or troubled her in the past. I just hope Master or Madam wake up soon or that Young Master is released quickly. If not... I'm afraid no one will be able to control her wrath," Uncle Zheng said.

"It can't be that serious... you're exaggerating, right? ... Right?" Cu Anyi asked, her voice trembling.

"YOU SHALL EXPERIENCE THE HORROR SOON... then let me know if I exaggerated," Uncle Zheng said, holding his head in worry.

"Oh, I forgot to mention... I'm auditioning tomorrow," Su Mei spoke disrupting them.

"For?" Cu Anyi asked as her curiosity piqued.

"To be a singer. We are going to Dream Entertainment tomorrow," Su Mei replied with a smile.

For some reason, Cu Anyi felt uneasy about this news.

"Uncle Zheng..." Cu Anyi began, but then noticed Uncle Zheng's pale face.

"Uncle Zheng, are you alright?" Cu Anyi asked quickly.

"I am..." Uncle Zheng said, turning to his Young Miss with concern.

"Young Miss, that is your Aunt's company and it is not safe. What are you planning to do?" He knew there was no stopping her now. Since she had learned that her brother was fine, she was going on a rampage.

"Uncle Zheng, what planning? I'm just going to have some fun with Cu Anyi," Su Mei said that with an innocent smile as she turned her back to them.

Central Jail

A man was seated on the bench, turning the book with an air of elegance. Despite being in a jail uniform, he looked neither bullied nor tortured. He appeared sophisticated and flawless, even in his confinement.

"Mr. Su... a letter from Mr. Zheng," the subordinate officer said, handing him the letter before walking away.

Su Chen placed the book aside and took the envelope. With deliberate care, he opened it and pulled out the letter.

The four words written inside caught his eye: "THE DEVIL IS BACK." He stared at the letter for a few moments, absorbing the message, before carefully sliding it back into the envelope.

He picked up his book again, and a slight smirk appeared on his handsome face.

"Uncle Zheng... I hope you and the rest survive," he murmured, his gaze fixed on the sky, which seemed brighter than any day he had seen in the past seven years.
