Chapter 23 - The Vengeance On Motion - 2

The same outfit everyone inside the warehouse wore, as they all had that serious aura surrounding them.

"I've already explained the plan, right? Does anyone have any confusion?" Ivan said, his tone loud as he looked at everyone with a serious, cold look.

"No, Sir!!" They all replied at the same time, their loud voices echoing in the warehouse.

"Good, if you've memorised the plan, that's great. I don't know how many of you will be able to go back safely but I promise you all that if one dies, I'll compensate your family with money so that they can live the rest of their old life in peace," Ivan said, his tone serious as most of them let out a sigh of relief.

That was the thing that was troubling them the most after hearing the plan and how many experienced guards there would be.

"Alright then, get inside the bulletproof vans parked outside. I don't want any failures," Ivan said in his loud and cold tone.

"Yes sir!!" They all shouted before going out of the warehouse and then getting inside the vans, about six black, sleek vans.

**[Inside the van]**

"Remember, you, four people with an additional two people will go through the backside and since I'm a sniper, I'll take the first shot, distracting them a bit, and in that time, finish them. There should only be about four people in the back garden," Ivan explained the initial plan to the four people with him in the van.

"Yes sir," the four people said at the same time, causing Ivan to give a small nod.

"And remember, kill them as discreetly as possible. We don't want officers to come and help them," Ivan said, his tone getting a bit excited at the prospect of finally being on his way to get revenge.

**[35 minutes later...]**

**[Sibirskaya, 7th floored unfinished building]**

The five black, bulletproof vans stopped just before they could be viewed by the bodyguards that were near the front gate of the estate and the seventh-floor building as they all went in a different way, with the only exception being Ivan, who, with a big suit in his hand, walked to the building, his mask taken off and black sunglasses on his eyes.

With that cloth on, he didn't bring the attention of the two bodyguards who were guarding the front gate as they thought him to be some guy who came to look at the unfinished building or something else.

...

**[Rooftop]**

Ivan then took out the sniper and then set it up as he placed it on the floor and crouched down to avoid revealing himself to anyone.

Then he took out a phone and placed it on his ear before using his shoulder so as to not let it fall down to the ground.

"1, 2, 12," he said, checking if they could hear him.

"Can you hear me?" he said, to confirm.

"Yes, boss, we can hear you," the other person with the phone given to him by Ivan said, his tone a bit hushed to not bring any attention.

"Now, I'll look over the area, and when I tell you, jump over the fences and blend in with the tall grasses, trees, whatever available," Ivan said, looking over them as he could see them waiting patiently just before the fence.

"Yes, boss," he said, before conveying what Ivan said to his teammates, who all agreed.

Saying that, Ivan then started to survey the whole area near them.

There were four people overall, and they were patrolling the area with a teacup in their hands instead of guns.

"Wow, how lucky..."

"To think they would be empty-handed. Haha, how unprepared," Ivan said with a small laugh as he saw them patrolling for a few more minutes before they all gathered in one spot near the pool to take a rest.

"So, it's rest time for them... huh?" Ivan muttered as he took out his phone and called the team once again.

"Now, I'll count to five, and when I reach zero, jump over the fence."

"Yes sir, we'll do as you say," he said, as they all prepared themselves to follow the orders.

"5.."

"4.."

"3.."

"2..."

"1.."

"0"

"Now!!" As Ivan gave the order, they all jumped over the fence, gaining their attention as they hurriedly ran toward them, to deal with them before they could get inside.

But not everything goes as planned, as Ivan readied his Dragunov SVD and then took aim at one of the running four people and shot him in the head.

As he pulled the trigger, the ammo went straight out of his sniper and, at the speed of light, went straight through one of the runners' heads, bringing him down.

And as soon as the other three bodyguards saw their comrade dying, their attention diverted for a few seconds, which was enough time for the six people to take out their silencer rifles and start shooting them, killing them all before they could even know what happened.

"Good, now go as stealthily as possible and take out the remaining bodyguards inside the estate. I'll support the other teams," Ivan said as he cut the call and then called the other team.

"The other team has successfully entered the estate, now it's your turn."

"Throw the flashbang grenade and then kill them all." As Ivan gave out the order, the 14 mercenaries who were patiently waiting nodded their heads as they took aim at the unaware two bodyguards guarding the front door as they pulled the trigger, bringing them down and also bringing the attention of the other four people inside who all took out their knives and guns and also alerting the others with a phone.

As soon as the mercenaries killed the two bodyguards, they threw three flashbang grenades at different spots, diverting their attention as they separated. They thought that the enemies had separated.

But the moment they all separated and went to the places where the flashbang grenades were thrown, Ivan did his job as he killed the one who went to the right, and the other seven people killed the other three people, but not before they also lost one of their mercenaries.

"How is the situation?" Ivan said, as he saw them all making a circle in one spot.

"Sir... sir... one of our members is dead," they said, their tone a bit heavy, most likely that member of theirs was someone they've spent a lot of time with.

"Don't worry, focus on the task and avenge your team member. I'll compensate his family later myself." Giving a promise, Ivan motivated them to start moving as they did as Ivan said, going inside the estate on full rush.

Then he called the other team, "How is the situation there?" he said, his tone cold and authoritative.

"Boss, we've killed a total of ten bodyguards inside with two of our members dying," he said from the other side, his tone heavy and cold, due to the loss of two people they knew.

"Sigh, I'll be sure to compensate their family myself and help them financially, so start focusing on the task ahead and try to minimise the losses now," Ivan said, sighing as three people from his side died.

"It was inevitable... for some of our people to die... but I guess I underestimated them a bit too much..."

"Well, whatever, since they died, then they died, who cares... the dead can't come back anyway..." Ivan said, shrugging it off coldly as he packed his sniper back into his suitcase.

"I should enter now, my job as a sniper is done anyway," Ivan muttered before walking downstairs.

**[Inside the Mansion]**

The mansion was still as dawn broke through the grand windows, casting long shadows across the opulent interiors. Max and his team of four mercenaries moved silently through the marble halls, having already neutralized ten guards. Their target was now to eliminate more bodyguards.

"Stay sharp," Max instructed in a hushed tone. "Jared, Rob, take the first floor. Mike and I will handle the second."

Jared and Rob split off, moving cautiously down the grand staircase towards the first floor. They encountered their first guard near the library. Jared signalled Rob to take position as he crept up behind the guard. With a swift move, Jared used his garrote, silencing the guard before he could react. Rob kept a lookout, then dragged the body to a hidden corner.

Max and Mike ascended the stairs, their footsteps muffled on the thick carpet. They reached the second floor, where they spotted two bodyguards conversing near the master's office.

"Have you told Master Andrei we're being attacked and that everyone should go to the second floor?" one guard asked, his voice tinged with concern.

"Yeah," the other replied. "And there seems to be a traitor here. How else would they know about the meeting today?"

Max exchanged a quick glance with Mike. They moved silently towards the guards, taking advantage of their distraction. Max targeted the first guard, his silenced pistol taking him out with a single shot. Mike handled the second, approaching from behind and dispatching him with a knife to the throat.

Downstairs, Jared and Rob moved through the corridor, encountering another guard patrolling near the dining hall. Jared took the lead, neutralizing the guard with a precise knife strike, while Rob stood watch. They dragged the body to a nearby storage closet.

Max and Mike continued their sweep, finding another guard at the top of the stairs, nervously scanning the hall. Max quickly dispatched him with another silenced shot. Mike then moved to secure the final guard, who was stationed outside the master's office. As Mike approached, the guard turned and saw him, but a swift strike ended his life before he could raise an alarm.

The team regrouped in the hallway, checking their surroundings for any signs of additional threats. The mansion was eerily quiet, the silence only broken by their whispered communication.

"Five down, and the area is secure," Max said to his teammates. "Let's go and find the official family members of this family and kill them, the remaining
