The morning dew sparkled from the green beautiful grass, a soft wind blew throughout the town. It was just a normal day, an average day for those who lived average peaceful everyday lives. A 26 year old average guy awoke from his weird dream, since it was just a dream he didn't think anything of it so he quickly forgot, sitting up to see the morning light slightly shining through his window.
"The sky is so beautiful… I wonder what today will bring."
It was a wonder how he had everyday, something that adults tend to lose sight of because of their day to day lives, always filled with living and responsibilities. But even so, he didn't lose sight of this wonder as the day passed, as he made food for his lunch early in the morning, when he went to his 9 to 5 job, and when he clocked out at the end of the day. The thought of today being an amazing day blossomed in his mind. He looked up at the evening sky, the sun setting and the sky turning into a dimly bright orange and yellow. He couldn't help but appreciate his day, thinking of how lucky he was to live so peacefully.
He drove back home, but not before heading straight to the store to get some of his favorite snacks. He was addicted to a more spicy taste, so naturally his favorite snack was the hot chips.The spicy seasoning on them wasn't much to write home about but for him, it was exactly what he needed after a long day at work. Though after, even if his body didn't have hot chips, it would torture him in the bathroom for the next 30 minutes. But even so he saw it as worth it...well most of the time. And so his day ended, comfortable and peaceful, an absolute paradise for him.
||Monday—>Tuesday||
Tuesday was always an interesting day for him, it wasn't exactly less peaceful but it was definitely a little more hectic with his work. Due to the usual of his job being with organization of paperwork, helping his coworkers understand how the new technology works etc, it was normal for it to be slightly busy. On Tuesday though it was much more packed because on every Tuesday each employee of the special technologies department had to work inside the building. Simply, this made it 5x more crowded than usual and was the part of the job that he didn't enjoy.
This was okay though because he wasn't alone in his job, he had about 10 other coworkers with him that had the same job. They would help organize the special technologies department and anywhere else that needed it. The help from his coworkers would help ease a lot of the stress he had when he would work alone in his section of the department. All of that being the main reason he hasn't quit his job… besides the pay. Though there was a nice thing about Tuesdays, after work he and his coworkers would go out and have dinner together, but even if they were too tired they would have a quick conversation and talk about their days. By the end of the day he would head back home at 23:00 ||11:00 pm|| though by the time he would actually get back home it would be 00:00 ||12:00 am||
||Tuesday—>Wednesday||
Wednesday, it was the day he found the hardest, not because the day was difficult but because he couldn't pronounce Wednesday correctly. Usually, people would pronounce this day as "wensday" but for him he would pronounce it as how it was spelled "Wed-Nes-Day". He would get teased constantly every week because he kept saying it like that, BUT he stood his ground believing that THAT is truly the way to say the middle of the week's Wednesday. Normally though, he incorrectly said a similarly named show and would get teased even harder for it. It was the most painful but funniest day of the week for him. Since Wednesday was the day after the busy day of Tuesday it was also the day with the most exhaustion, some would think it would be Friday or Thursday, but for all of them, Wednesday was the most burnt out day of the week and so Wednesday was also the day where most have quit their jobs. He is very powerful mentally, and never gives in so he never had this problem...or so he says.
||Wednesday—>Thursday||
Thursday was the day of excitement for everyone at work, especially if there was no new technology but if there were, the atmosphere would change from happiness to despair pretty quickly. It wasn't because they weren't excited for something new, it was actually the total opposite and since they all got most of the new releases for free due to working in the most important department in the TSC short for the very creative name "Technology Specialist Corporation" that was never the issue. The issue lies mainly in understanding, fixing, coding, fixing again, reporting if something was wrong and then doing that repeatedly. Making times busy for the next several months and possibly even taking up to a year or two. He wasn't an exception either, he felt as much stress and pressure whenever something new would come out BUT he was very passionate about this stuff so it was still very much exciting and never a dull time. On the end of Thursday, he would either meet up with coworkers, or go out shopping for new anime figures and consoles, but he'd even just go for a simple walk. Usually at the end of these days he would stay away from things like technology to give himself a break from the 'screens of the future' but as always this day was amazingly peaceful.
||Thursday—>Friday||
Friday was the day....the day for groceries, specifically meat, specifically STEAK. It was his favorite food and it's true that he wouldn't mind becoming increasingly unhealthy from binge eating it, though if he wasn't raised correctly he may have blown every paycheck he's gotten on snacks and food. But Friday was the day he could go all out mainly because of his once a month paycheck. Since he did work in some important futuristic technology, and sometimes given the role as temporary manager he wasn't anywhere near broke. He wasn't rich but nice and well off, so if he wanted to buy a bigger house he could have....but....his passion for a simple life was far too big, no matter the job. And the less he spent on something as dumb as more space for a single man in his mid 20s, the he would be able to spend on things that would feed his addiction for anime and amazing food. This day was by far his favorite, especially since his older sister came over with her adorable daughter, whom both he loved to spoil.
||Friday—>Saturday||
This was a weekend, well for a lot of people it was the weekend but for him it was still a weekday due to his job requiring him to work 7 days a week. On weekdays it would be much longer but for weekends he only had to work half the time he normally does. Sometimes even being sent home because everything would be already handled, this was very rare but it's true these days were slow and short. He enjoyed them though, especially since he could spend time with his work crush. He didn't really have much confidence to ask her out though, and since he was so technical and a massive over-thinker he always came to the conclusion that any romance within his job would be extremely risky and also terrible if gone wrong. He was told that she liked him back from his coworkers but he thought they were just messing with him so he never approached her legitimately so they stayed as friends hiding their feelings. They both had simple conversations, usually about their day and what they are up to lately. Very very simple conversation that made him extremely nervous every time. He did appreciate them though and most of the time they were the only ones in the department on this day with a few others working at their desks. For him Saturday was his day of a dose of romance and once the day ended early they would go their separate ways and meet each other again the next day with their other coworkers. Instead of leaving at 9 he would leave at 6 and the same happened the day of Sunday.
All seven days were parts of his life, not just his life but everyones. This isn't just about him but also about her, and him, and her, and him, and that guy, and the other guy, and the other girl. But it is mainly about the one in today's chapter, how he lives and how he loves. Him living his dream of such a life in a hectic world and by the end, it'll be similar. A peaceful everyday life.
-Sincerely Zen
