That evening, Hall's assistant, Roll Jenkins, entered the penthouse office with a questionble expression.
"Sir, I've received a call from an unknown number. The voice on the other end claimed to have information about your...condition."
Hall's eyes narrowed. "What did they say?"
"They mentioned the bracelet, sir. And warned that you're not the only one of your kind."
Hall's grip on his pen tightened. "Get me more information."
As Jenkins departed, Hall's thoughts turned to Maya. He couldn't shake the feeling that their meeting was more than coincidence. She was different than the other ladies.
Meanwhile, Maya arrived at her comfortable apartment, her mind still reeling from the meeting with Hall. She couldn't just forget those charming and assuring sly simles,it couldt be the last thing she will wish to forget yet she till felt an unexplainable connection to him, but her instincts warned her to be careful
She changed into comfortable clothes, her phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number:
"Be careful around Hall Blackwood. He's not what he seems."The text was surrounded by a deep sense of
Unordinary.
Maya's heart skipped a beat. Who was this mysterious messenger?A mysterious and curious aura surrounded her but she felt a little concern at same time hesitation.
"It might be a scam "she said in a low tone, wondering. She shrugged her lips as she placed the Mobile phone on the short table beside her bed, getting ready to freshen up for the night.
The next day, Hall and Maya met for dinner at one of the city's most luxurious restaurant. The tension between them was abormal.Maya feels a little bit uncomfortable sitting face to face with Hall.Sitting around guys isn't her problem, she has dated a lot but in Hall's condition seems she had developed a strange phobia.
Anyways she still maintained her steeze and composure.
"So, Maya," Hall said starting the communication flow , his deep blue charging eyes locked on herd "tell me more about yourself
Maya hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. She barely trust the raven haired dude "I'm just a simple CEO, trying to make a difference...."...her tone sounding final.
Hall chuckled. "I think there's more to you than that..huh?"
"Well maybe not"her pitch sounding a little bit harsh.
Hall smirked "sure!"
"...."
A slight frown fell on his face, she wasn't as easy as he thought. An the strong feeling grew more bigger,he suspected her more ,to him she is one of a kind and special .But he still gonna play along.
"Well? Alright then.."
The night wore on, Maya sat outside the flat roof of her mansion taking in the fresh night cool city breeze, she could barely see the ground just the stars in the sky.She found herself drawn deeper into Hall's world. But the strange text sent to her last night lingered in her mind, a warning she couldn't stop pondering on.
"Sent by who?"
What secrets was Hall hiding? She just met him and who the he sent her the anonymous text last night.
The days passed, Maya found herself increasingly drawned in Hall's life. They met for business, but their conversations often veered into personal territory. She couldn't deny the connection between them, but the mysterious text still lingered in her mind.
He sometimes decides they should go out together most of the times and Maya not too chirpy to that but her silly investigations on him.
...
The cool breeze from the north blew between them as they strolled along the beach side , Hall's bracelet caught her eye.It was strangely enticing than other jewelries
"Such a charming bracelet you got" she complimented.
Hall crossed a grin"oh! this ...I thought as much"
"Then how did you get it"She tried not to sound suspicious, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Hall expression turned cold, raising a brow at her "sorry..having a problem?"
"No it just ...umm ..looks different"she tried to pack her words toghether but her voice betrayed her.He sensed her thoughts and feelings,,a simle played at the corner of his lips,he knew how to get her type.
"...Just a family heirloom," he said, his tone confident and dismissive.Nothing about him changed at all.But Maya was still unconvinced. She sensed he was hiding something. "Hall, I want to trust you, but I need honesty," she said, her voice firm but gentle.
Hall's gaze drifted across the water before returning to hers. "I'll tell you everything, Maya. But not yet. Can you trust me that far?"
Maya hesitated, her heart and mind at odds. But as she looked into Ryder's eyes, she saw something there that gave her pause.
The same deep blue innocent and charming eyes.
"Okay," she said finally. "But soon..."
They walked further, the shadows cast by the streetlights seemed to grow longer, as if darkness itself was closing in around them.
Inside , Hall's demon stirred, sensing her proximity to the truth. It whispered tantalizing secrets in his ear, tempting him to reveal his true nature. But Hall resisted, knowing that would mean losing Maya forever. He was determined to keep his secret buried, no matter the cost.
