The city I landed on is Bilbousa. The capital city. There are a few sentient species around. I found the names of plenty of them.
Sakiyan, Vippit, t'landa Til, Nikto, Vodran, Klatoonian, Gamoran, human, and Weequay.
They all speak different languages. However, they speak a common language when conversing outside their species.
"Hey, you! Are you a human?", I hear a Klatoonian ask loudly.
I respond, "No, I am not human."
"Then what are ya? I can't tell through that full body suit you got on.", The Klatoonian asks with suspicion.
I answer truthfully, "I have never removed this suit since I can remember. I am simply a traveler entity called Hermes."
The Klatoonian is bewildered, "You don't know what you look like under your suit? Why don't you take it off then?"
I shrug, "It no longer matters. Has never mattered really."
The alien scoffs, "Watch yourself then. The Hutt guards don't like unknowns."
The alien then moves on.
I spend days, weeks, and months just walking around the city. There was a lot to catalogue. Trade brought new things to the city daily, so I was rarely at rest. ATLAS learned a lot through their holo-net too. We even gained a star map and learned information on hyperspace lanes. Although we don't need to use them. This dimension of spatial travel is an interesting subject.
A couple of city guards walked up to me on my routine stroll.
The leader says firmly, "Stranger, Lord Kobbu wants to speak with you."
Kobbu is the Hutt Lord in charge of city security and law enforcement. I have no reason to reject a meeting. It should be informational.
I followed the alien into a government building but really looked like a palace.
I was escorted inside and to a "office". Which looked more like a lounge room than an office. There was a Hutt on a seating platform eating food. I assume this Hutt to be Kobbu since he is the center of attention.
I am led to stand before the Hutt.
"You are the stranger that walks and looks at everything. Looks at everyone. You don't eat, you don't drink, you don't sleep, and you never seem to tire. You never take off the suit neither. I am the Great Kobbu. I am the one that keeps the scum in line and the slaves hopeless, hehe.", Kobbu said to me.
"I am a traveler entity, I am called Hermes.", I say.
"Hermes? An odd name. What kind of alien are you, Hermes?", Kobbu asks.
"I am a traveler entity. There is only one of me. Always have been only one.", I answer.
Kobbu laughs, "That would make you a rare specimen. People may pay top price to keep you in their zoo, haha."
"I am familiar with the practices of the wealthy here. I don't have to worry about being in a cage within a zoo though.", I say confidently.
Kobbu looks at me intrigued, "How so Hermes?"
"It is impossible for me to trapped in any way, anywhere. By nature of what I am. As I am a traveler", I explain.
Kobbu laughs again, "What is a traveler? That gives you confidence?"
I explain, perhaps he will understand, "A traveler entity is a lifeform created to explore and catalogue everything that exist. From the simplest rock to the most complex lifeform. Star system to star system, galaxy to galaxy and so on."
Kobbu gets more serious, "Galaxy to galaxy? So on? You've been to other galaxies?"
I nod, "Yes, I've been to many other galaxies. I also only move galaxies when I've catalogued everything about it."
Kobbu starts to get a bit nervous, "How old are you?"
I shrug, "I stopped counting when I turned 1 billion years old. There wasn't a point to keeping track."
Kobbu sucks in a breathe before sighing, "No wonder you are so relaxed. Your technology is foreign to me. Probably beyond anything we have by uncountable years. You've probably experience your fair share of being like me too."
I nod, "You are correct Kobbu."
"Are you almost done...cataloguing on Nal Hutta?", he asks.
"I am 58% done. I still have more to see.", I say.
Kobbu furrows his fat brows, "Then I will make it know to not impede you."
Now I am a little surprised, "You believe me so readily, that rarely happens."
Kobbu chuckles, "Hutts have good business sense. We have good instincts when it comes to lies and what is real. I am no moron. I will not antagonize an immortal
"I can understand why you destroyed the Moralan. The Hutt species is shrewd, cunning, and doesn't hesitant when it comes to their interest. Your species will go far, very far. However, these traits that will propel you high will also restrict you beneath a certain point. I've shared this as thanks for the hospitality.", I say.
Then I show myself out of the building.
