"Clara?" He staggered back. "Long time no see, guess you've forgotten about me. Am I that bad?" She pouted cutely.
"What do you want?" Adams questioned angrily. "Come on, you don't have to be so rude to someone you haven't seen in years. Don't tell me you didn't miss me." Adams chuckled. "If you called me here for this, then I'm out. You can keep whatever you have to say to yourself." Adams turned to leave. "Are you sure you want to walk away? Don't you want to know the person who tried killing your pregnant wife?" He halted in his spot but didn't turn to look at her. "Keep it to yourself! I will find out myself!" With that, he walked to his car.
"Still as tough as ever. It's only a matter of time, though. Bye, cutie." She waved at his car.

"Stop pretending, Mom, we all know you did this. Just pray he doesn't fish you out; else, you have to face his wrath alone!" Arnold told Theresa, his mom. "Oh, you now feel you can blame me, right? We are in this together, remember? You instigated this whole mess, remember? You pushed me into this, so don't even think of quitting when we haven't started!" Theresa yelled at him. "I know we all wanted this, but I only want to get rid of the baby. I have no grudge against the woman," Arnold lied; he was obviously saying it to look like the good guy. "I see, you have no grudge, yet you paid a nurse to give her an abortion pill? Just stop the pretense already; we are in this together!" Bethel fired at him. "I'm excluded; please don't try to involve me in anything you do. I'm not in this with you people," Tricia muttered, loud enough to be heard. "Then get ready to find yourself another mother!" Theresa hissed.
Hospital
A nurse stopped at the door holding a tray. Greg, his chief guard, glared suspiciously at her; he could vividly remember the doctor saying she'd be awake after two hours, and it's barely been an hour. What's happening? "Who are you?" Greg questioned. "I'm Stacy. I'm here to prepare her medications. The nurse in charge of her suddenly had an emergency, so she had to leave. I'm the new nurse assigned to take care of her," she lied. Even a fool could tell she was lying; it was written all over her face. "Fine, but I have to go in and watch you do it, and lastly, I want you to tell me the name of each drug you came with." Her eyes widened; she couldn't even compose herself, and her legs began shaking. She suddenly started sweating. "I guess I made a mistake; maybe I didn't hear properly. I'll just go back and ask again." She began walking away, looking around as if someone were after her. "Wait!" Greg ordered. She could feel her heart beating faster; why was he stopping her? "Next time, remember to listen attentively to avoid giving wrong medications to patients." She nodded repeatedly. "You may leave." She hurriedly walked away, almost falling down but caring less; all she cared for was her life. What if she got caught? They wouldn't have spared her, but she wasn't giving up anytime soon. She was paid a huge amount of money to carry out this task, so she must keep her end of the deal by getting rid of the baby. She must not allow anything to stop her.

"Sir, how do you plan on dealing with her now that she's back?" His driver asked. "I don't know yet; let's just wait until she tries anything funny." The driver nodded.
He rested his head tiredly on the seat as his mind drifted back to what happened four years ago.
FLASHBACK
"Are you seriously going to break up with me, Clara? Please don't leave me; I can't survive a day without you," Adams pleaded on his knees. "Then die! What are you waiting for? Go ahead and die; I don't care! You can't satisfy my needs, so what's the point of staying with you?" She jibbered heartlessly, ignoring his pleas. "Fine, I will do whatever you want; just don't leave me. I'm begging." He tried touching her, but she pushed him off, and he landed on the floor. "You are totally useless now. I never loved you; can't you see it? I'm only here for the money, but since you can't offer me enough, I'm out of this whole mess you call a relationship. I'm sick and tired of your lovey-dovey theory; I want to try something new. Can't you get it?" She rolled her big eyeballs. "You never loved me. Then why did you approach me? So everything you did was only pretense? Do I really deserve this cruel treatment? All I ever did was love you, and this is how you repay me?" She chuckled. "Now you know. I only approached you because I wanted to be the school big girl; I never once had feelings for you. It's all your fault for being too dumb to realize it! Now your dad's company is going down, meaning you will soon go broke, and you know I can't afford to stay with a broke guy. You have to understand my point; I'm also helpless here!" She blurted heartlessly. "Fine! But I promise you will regret this! You will surely regret playing with my heart; you will come back begging, but trust me, I won't even spare you a single glance!" Those were the last words he told her before walking out of her hostel that night.
