"How dare you!" Arnold tried returning the punch after he managed to get his poor ass up. "What will you do? I have tolerated your shit enough, and I have had it up to my neck. If you dare try anything funny here, I will forget the fact that you are my brother and beat you to a pulp, motherfucker!" Adams warned strictly.
"You will surely pay for this! You will pay for this embarrassment!" Arnold glared at him, then at the few workers whose attention was on him. He adjusted his collar, cleaned his bleeding lips with his handkerchief, dumped it on the floor, then walked out angrily.

WINTHROP'S MANSION
Bethel, Arnold's sister, walked down the stairs fully dressed. Her mom, Theresa, and brother, Drake, were already waiting for her in the sitting room. "What took you so long?" Drake, the youngest, inquired. "You know I need quite a lot of preparation to heat that little bitch; she's a tough one, you know." Well, the whole preparation was for Anna. The other night, they had perfectly plotted out a plan on how to deal with Adams and his little lover. Arnold was to go distract him in his office while Bethel went to his house to deal with his wife; they had underestimated Anna. Bethel would surely regret choosing this path. "That's it! Don't spare her," Drake smiled happily.
Adams' mom, who had been listening to their conversations from the kitchen, scoffed. "Let's see how it goes." She picked up her phone, dialing Anna's contact. Anna picked up almost immediately. "Just make sure you don't hurt yourself; be careful, okay?" "I will, Mom. Take care," she ended the call after saying a few things to Anna. "Bethel, I'm sorry, but you need someone to teach you a lesson, and I think Anna is in the right position to do that." She smiled happily, dropping her phone on the kitchen table, then resumed her cooking.
Arnold barged in, almost stumbling into Bethel, who was about to go out. "Son? You are back so early; how did it go?" Arnold hissed loudly, throwing his mom a deadly glare. "Do I look okay to you? You needed to have seen the way he embarrassed me in front of his staff! He used his filthy hands on me; he fucking punched me! I won't let this slide!" "You mean he did this to you?" Bethel pointed at his busted lips, earning herself a glare.
"You know, sometimes I wonder if I'm truly your mother? Sometimes I wish Sean was my son. He's definitely a perfect match for Adams; funny how he's not interested in fighting for anything," Theresa blurted. Sean and his sister, Tyler, were way older than her kids, but since they never posed a threat to either Adams or any of them, behind just their father's children were enough for them, or so everyone thought.
"Then why are you dragging me into all this? Go ahead and make Sean yours, you selfish woman!" He fired angrily and left.
Theresa turned to Bethel. "Do you still want to pay her a visit?" "Why not? I'm not like Arnold; I will definitely put her in her place." "That's my girl! Come on, get going." Bethel smiled; having her mother cheer her on was enough proof that she would definitely deal with Anna.
ADAMS MANSION
Even a fool could tell Anna was waiting for someone. She was seated elegantly on the rooftop, a bottle of vodka and a glass beside her. As expected, she sighted Bethel and waved at her so she could see her. Bethel scoffed, increasing her pace. Anna had already told a maid to escort her to the rooftop, so it was easy for her. Soon, she was with Anna, seated with her legs crossed. Seeing Anna waiting for her hit differently; she knew someone might have informed Anna, but who could that be? With what she was witnessing, it was obvious Anna was also prepared for her, so she might not act rashly. "You know I'm not here to bat words with you; I'm only here to negotiate," Bethel said after a few minutes of silence. She wasn't here to negotiate with Anna, but with the look of things, it wouldn't be easy to beat her in a fight; she just had to wait for a perfect opportunity. "Negotiate? And you think I'm interested in whatever you have in mind to offer?" Anna questioned as she opened the bottle, poured it into the empty glass, then handed it to Bethel, who reluctantly took it. "Come on, have it. Poisoning you here will be the last thing I would do. If I really wanted to kill you, do you think I would do it here? Come on, I'm not that daft," Anna chuckled. Bethel, who was convinced that Anna wouldn't do a thing, drank from the bottle. Her mom and siblings knew she was here, so if anything happened to her, Anna wouldn't go scot-free. "You are quite interesting; I like that," Bethel added. "Heard that countless times; just tell me why you are here," Anna demanded. "What can I offer you to make you get rid of the baby?" Anna was taken aback by her question. How can someone be so cruel? Asking her to abort the baby she's already growing fond of? She's sure worse than the devil. "Your life!" Anna blurted. "What? How can you compare my life with that flirty thing in your womb?" Bethel flared up. "Seems you're not ready to negotiate with me; I'm leaving." Anna stood up to leave. "How about I offer you a million dollars?" Anna paused. She turned her back to Bethel and walked towards the edge of the rooftop, placing her hands on the wall for support.
"You really think I'm with Adams because of his money?" Bethel chuckled. "Obviously! Or what other reason? Love? Oh, stop the pretense! We both know you are only here for the money!" "Believe whatever you feel like believing; I owe you no explanations!" Bethel chuckled; an idea came to her head, something in her kept telling her to push Anna off the rooftop, and that is exactly what she would do. She stood up, making slow steps towards Anna; since Anna wasn't facing her, it would be too hard for her to retaliate. Before Anna understood what she was up to, it was already too late. Anna froze when she turned and saw Bethel standing behind her. Before she could do anything, Bethel pushed her. "Goodbye!" was the last thing she heard before darkness enveloped her.
