"Start over, I'm confused and under stress"
Abia : "You just shouted it out loud, Boon"
Unknown woman: "Boon? I called to Boor"
Abia: "Who is Boor?
Unknown Woman: "He is my son, why?"
Abia was ashamed, because she just approached a stranger about something she heard wrong
"I'm sorry, it seems like I misheard you"
The woman let out a shrill laugh and tapped on her shoulder,
"Don't worry, don't worry, I was just talking to my son Boor on the phone"
The woman seemed to be social, which made Abia reassure but she was also a bit shy.
Abia: "Thank you for your understanding.."
Woman: "Why so polite?! Come on, let's get out here and talk outside" she laughed again
"My name is Alba, you?"
Abia couldn't suppress her laughter anymore either, because; The names of their sons were similar, and so were their own.
"what a coincidence, my name is Abia"
They talked to each other happily as if they had always been friends
After a few minutes outside, when they were talking to each other, Alba told why she shouted out her son's name through the store: "He has too much personality, but it's really not that bad"
She sighed and continued, "He's a good boy deep in his heart, but… Oh, I always tell myself that it's because he was born on a Wednesday"
Alba crossed her hands and got upset, "Don't believe in these superstitions! Mine was also born on a Wednesday!"
They looked at each other in amazement and giggled
"Oh, these coincidences! Maybe we are soulmates?"
Abia nodded and asked, "How old is your son?"
Alba was sure that this time it wouldn't be the same: "Seventeen, yours?"
Abia: "a.. also seventeen.."
They looked at each other impressed, their mouths wide open in a daze.
} "wow"
It was a realization that they must be friends
Boon and his father noticed that Abia was more and more outside with a new friend. She talked to Alba about Boon from time to time. From what Alba had heard, Boon was a perfect son. She could only think about how much she wished that her son, Boor, could have friends like this instead of the ones he has. apologetically, she explained: "I know I bragged about Boor myself, but in reality I'm having a hard time with him right now. He's always been a great son and stuff but he's… haa.." she let out a breath, because she didn't want to say anything bad about him but still wanted to ask for help or advice. Abia understood her language immediately and nodded. "You don't have to be ashamed of me, who am I to judge you?"
Alba was very happy but still felt shy to ask.
"I know it's probably too exhausting and too much to ask, but I really don't know what I should do as a mother"
she blurted out. Abia nodded again and thought hard about what she could do. Before she found the solution: "You can always ask me for help!", she clarified and thought again about how she could help. She couldn't do anything herself.
Soon something occurred to her; Boon doesn't often talk to guys his age and could learn how to engage with them by Boor, who is loud (according to Alba's description) and social. At the same time Boon could help Boor since he would make a good role model, Abia felt very proud about her idea and proposed it to Alba.
Obviously, she agreed.
Alba didn't know how to communicate properly among her family, she instead planned this meeting between Alba's and Abia's family step by step. Planned by grounding Boor because of their last occurrence. She told each of his siblings that they would have guests in the house after a week. With her husband, Torin, she had already discussed everything clearly. Boor's siblings cleaned up the house except Ivan, because he was too young.
Boor was upset, he sat alone in his room but it wasn't too bad. On his cell phone he could write with this person of whom he didn't know the appearance but nevertheless he has this person on the internet that he loved very much. Confined in the corner, he waited for a new message. Boor was thirsty but did not want to meet one of his family members while he was fetching water. He wrote to his little brother Ivan
[ get me a glass of water ]
and after thirty seconds,
[ hurry up ]
. Soon Ivan knocked on his door. Boor opened the door and saw the little brother. The little boy had a few injuries. bruises on his arm caused by Boor. He looked away and scoffed. He took his water and noticed more injuries that he didn't know about said "hey" and raised his arm to look at them more clearly. Ivan flinched and glanced up, fear etched on his face. Boor swallowed and couldn't look Ivan in the eye anymore, "go" he ordered and closed the door. He heard Ivan running down the stairs and turned on the illuminated screen through the dark room while he silenced the remaining feelings in his head.
{Ding!}
Finally he got a notification and hurriedly pressed it. It was just a video recommendation. He sighed and leaned against the wall. He knew that his online friend was ghosting him, but maybe there was something else? Maybe the person was in trouble or their cell phone broke? that's how Boor convinced himself each time this happened.
Thousands of thoughts ran through his head and he wondered if this online person had a bad impression of Boor. He can't control himself emotionally in some places, what if it was too exhausting for this person. Or had Boor told too much about his private life? Was he boring now? He wrote to his friends whom he knew in real life and his message had not yet been seen. "Look where I am," he mumbled to himself. "imprisoned"
He sneered and uttered "great family"
This scum didn't know he was the problem.
A few days passed and during these days Abia talked to her husband and son about how she would now meet her friend's family. "Why?" asked the father. "I mean, I'm not against it, but you only met her the other day"
"Mind you, I've known Alba for three weeks!" Abia defended her, but understood the reason for his question.
"Boon," the mother called.
"Yes, Mam?"
"My friend you're going to meet has problems with her son, could you set a good example for him, couldn't you?"
Boon scratched his knuckles and nodded slowly, but it was obvious that he didn't want to do it. Abia noticed his body language and ruffled his hair, "I know I ask you a lot lately, but could you just do that for me? please Boon? I don't want to be helpless"
"Okay," he replied immediately. After a few moments he had a train of thought about how it would go wrong and shook his thoughts away. He sighed. Honestly, he didn't even know what to think about it.
Especially one where his mother had said that the boy's mother had a hard time with him. Boon doesn't even go out with friends for fun or play with them. He has a few classmates with whom he talks from time to time and he could call friends, but he prefers to be alone often. So to make someone a role model as if it were a little brother or follower was something new. Was it like a little brother or did he have another image in his head about being a role model.
The week passed, Boor was still in his room, asleep. He had almost just been waiting for his online friend text messages for the whole meantime. The mother knocked on the door and said "come out now, we'll have visitors today"
He thought about climbing out of the window.
"They will arrive soon! get ready"
demanded the mother. He groaned, and at last escaped from his room, and washed his face.
He sat down on the sofa and looked at his siblings, they were dressed properly "ha! Look how different they are in front of other people." He scoffed
"What two-faced people"
the doorbell rang and Alba gasped in a riant manner. She frolicked to the door and opened it with all her energy. Abia and Faris were there and greeted her, their only son Boon also came forward with a crooked smile. They all smiled at each other and greeted each other.
To Boor they all looked like puppets.
