Chapter 21 - THE WAIT IS OVER

_Chapter 22: The Wait is Over_

It's been a few weeks, and the exams were rounding up, leaving everyone a wreck of nervousness at the arrival of the results. Maya had tried to distract herself with Chase's help, but the anxiety lingered. They had gone on romantic walks, had cozy movie nights, and even tried a new restaurant, but nothing seemed to shake off the feeling of uncertainty.

One morning, as she sipped coffee with Rachel in the university's cafeteria, the atmosphere was tense. The university's website had announced that the results would be posted today, and everyone was on edge. Maya had tried to prepare herself for any outcome, but she couldn't help feeling a sense of trepidation.

The cafeteria was buzzing with students chatting nervously, some trying to reassure each other, while others were pacing back and forth, unable to sit still. Maya and Rachel sat in the corner, trying to focus on their coffee, but their eyes kept drifting to their phones, willing the results to appear.

Finally, the moment of truth arrived. The university's website crashed due to the high traffic of students checking their results, leaving everyone even more anxious. Maya's heart raced as she tried to access the site, her fingers typing furiously on her phone.

"Come on, come on!" Rachel exclaimed, tapping her foot impatiently.

Maya's phone finally loaded, and she saw her results. She had passed with flying colors! Maya screamed with joy, hugging Rachel tightly. "I did it, Rach! I actually did it!"

The cafeteria erupted in cheers and applause as students shared their results with each other. Maya beamed, feeling an overwhelming sense of relief and pride. She had worked hard, and it paid off.

Chase texted her immediately, sensing her excitement. "I knew you could do it, Maya! Can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!"

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She couldn't wait to see Chase and share her news with him.

But as she looked around, she saw some of her friends in tears, their results not what they had hoped for. Maya's heart went out to them, knowing how tough it was to face disappointment.

She got up and hugged her friends, offering words of encouragement. "You guys are amazing, and this doesn't define you. We'll get through this together."

As Maya comforted her friends, she realized that this moment was not just about her own success but also about supporting those around her.
