Niul's body started trembling in disbelief, but unbeknownst to him, the image of what he was seeing right now was just a camouflage, an undistinguishable illusion orchestrated by Suna whenever a certain condition had been met, revealing his identity.
Suna then pointed at the sky with his left index finger.
Niul didn't bother to look up as he saw a huge shadow blocking the moon's light.
He knew what kind of fate awaited him but before all that. Niul shouted, drawing his katana.
"LONG LIVE THE MIKOTO C--"
The last patrolling guard wearing a blue "Yoroi" was met with a gruelling end.
Half of his body was eaten by a giant crow with sharp teeth and claws only visible to the two; it began to tear into Niul's flesh, eventually devouring his core alongside it.
After finishing its meal, the giant crow flew towards Suna's body. With every bit of closing distance, the giant crow, which was about the size of an 8 by 8-meter room, progressively got smaller and smaller until it eventually reached Suna's right eye.
It completely disappeared just like that upon contact with his eye as if it was merged back into his body.
Suna blinked his right eye thrice before he took another step forward, to make sure that everything was in order.
Then, right after he took that step, Urkil's cold corpse vanished, leaving only his set of black Yoroi armour, wooden plaque and the 2 Haws he was holding. The gate which leads to the outside walls then subtly opens.
Rattling over the cold steel embedded in its frames.
The sound of wood and metal from the opening gate distracted half of the frozen crowd.
Suna looked at the towering mountain at the center of the Clan, climbing higher and higher to the heavens. The staircase is long and wide, leading to the Main House of the Mikoto, clouded with a staircase of mist.
"Time to set things in order."
As he finished his sentence, he disappeared into the rushing crowd from a far distance swiftly without anyone noticing, like a mist guided by the shadows; Suna had already shape-shifted into several dozens of gods he had previously killed, blending in within them.
After having disappeared for a few seconds, the crowd who was frozen in place due to unsurmountable fear, screamed in reckless panic.
"W-WHAT WAS THAT?!"
"M-MONSTER!!"
The crowd who was not able to escape, sat on the cold floor, trembling in tears.
Then, right after, several hundreds of guards who were posted inside the outer walls were alarmed by the sudden disturbances along with the unannounced opening of the gates from the North, South, East, and West after having a patrolling guard from each District reported back to the barracks which is located at the farthest most places close to the walls leading to the capital.
All of them rushed towards the designated gates they were assigned to. Preparing countermeasures beforehand before the unmanned gate fully opens.
Sounds of footsteps echo throughout the once-busy streets. Several hundreds of guardsmen rushed towards the designated location. Amid the rushing Gods wearing a white "Yoroi," one guardsman can be seen wearing a red "Yoroi" leading the charge from each District.
Though, as they were running, one of the guardsmen who was heading towards the gate of the En-Moyo District wearing a white "Yoroi" armour noticed another colleague wearing a blue "Yoroi" armour running among the crowd.
In a low and soft tone, she questioned herself.
'What is with that person?'
Though since they were in a hurry, the Goddess wearing a white "Yoroi" brushed it aside, leaving the report to follow, after handling the current matters at hand.
She then gazes back to her front heading to the end of the district.
They were rushing through, making their way through the panicking crowd. The God leading them to the area saw something on the streets. He had no time to mourn so he quickly and silently nabbed an item from the cold floor and continued.
A few moments later, when the humongous gate finally opened from all the said directions. All the guardsmen who were dispatched arrived at the same time at the designated place.
Then, right after their arrival, thick fog suddenly blew inside each District.
The guards were all on high alert. The Gods wearing a red "Yoroi" ordered a few of their soldiers to evacuate the civilians, including those who were left behind in terror in the En-Moyo District, into the capital, which houses the elite Gods along with the main bloodline of the Mikoto Clan.
The district guard leader of the En-Moyo District, who stood at the forefront, raised his right arm, signalling the archers from a distance atop several houses to be ready to engage at any time he gave out the signal.
The sound of strings can be heard all over the place as the archers pull the strings in their bows with arrows already put in place. All aiming towards the humongous gate.
Sashi, with a silver plate dog tag hanging on his waist, acted as cautiously as he could. The body of Irkil has already been long evaporated, leaving only his bronze dog tag and set of armour.
Sashi, the leader of the defenses in the Western district, held Irkil's dog tag in his hands with a tight grip.
He then gazes at the gate, and he sees a shadow a half taller than them.
Huge black horns emerge in the seeping fog. The guards all braced themselves, unsheathing all of their katanas, leaving behind a cold metallic sound.
Sashi lowered his right hand, pointing at the gate where the shadow appeared, and shouted at the first sight of the intruder.
"FIRE!!"
