Year 328 CE, Evening at the Western Border, outside the humongous gates made out of the hardest wood called "Ashet" which can block even a God's blow numerous times lies an old man wearing an old rugged brown cloak wandering about the entrance for quite some time now with his face completely hidden by the hood.
The gatekeepers standing guard outside the gate kept wondering as to what the purpose of the old man was, so one of the two guards approached him.
The guards keeping guard on the gate wore a black "Yoroi", which also means "great armour", as means of their protection. It is also covered with a thick layer of Divine Energy continuously being supplied by the Clan's blacksmiths.
With one of the guards approaching him, closer and closer the old man began to whisper to himself.
"This is completely out of my expectations."
He said while stroking his long white beard as he stared blankly at the ground underneath him.
Growing suspicious of the old man, the guard shouted to catch his attention.
"Hey! What are you doing loitering around in the dead of the night?"
The old man turned to the guard with an uninterested look in his cold black eyes.
"What am I doing you ask?"
He spoke in a monotone voice, turning his attention right towards the guard who called for him.
"Yes. Why are you just standing there loitering about."
The guard finally stood right in front of him after having walked around a hundred steps right outside the walls.
The old man just looked him in the eye, preparing to cast something into the back of his hands.
As the guard looked at the old man with poor quality of clothing, the suspicion he once had turned into pity and so he casually invited him right inside the gates into the district.
"Old man."
He reached out his right hand whilst holding the sword on his waist with his left. With the right hand, the guard touched the old man's left shoulder.
In the old man's mind, he thought that the guard was about to make a sudden attack on him, but to his surprise.
"Hey, you should come in. It's already so late in the evening.
The moon is about to strike dead center in the sky.
If you keep wandering outside the walls, Gods with ill intentions might attack you and rob you or worse.
They might even kill you."
The guard spoke kindly to the old man with a bright cheery smile on his face.
Having concluded that the guard wasn't going to attack him, he intercepted his counterattack halfway before having acted.
"Thank you."
The old man said with an indifferent look on his face, scoffing at the guard's kindness, but the guard who approached him didn't bother with how rudely he expressed his thanks; instead, he immediately waved at his partner guarding the gate with him to open the lesser gate just behind their stations.
"Hey! Urkil!"
The guard shouted, looking towards his partner waiting at the gate.
"What!?"
"Open the gate behind you!"
"Why!?"
Irkil, the guard who came to investigate the suspicious old man, assisted him towards the gate.
"What's your name?"
Irkil questioned, whilst walking alongside the old man; though his face was completely covered by a menpo, the old man could tell that he meant no harm in the question he had asked of him, and so he answered.
"Suna. A travelling healer."
The guard blinked thrice as he heard his answer. His eyes looked confused as he tried to remember a God named Suna in the closest regions of the Gods Realm.
Having noticed his sudden silence, Suna tried to break his confusion as he explained further of his situation.
"I'm just an old man passing by to heal anyone in need of my healing... As of now, my Shu coins have already been completely depleted.
Note: Shu coins are the current currency in the Realm of Gods. It is also divided into Copper Shu, Silver Shu, Golden Shu and Platinum Shu being the Platinum Shu the rarest of them all.
Irkil, having listened to his current situation rummages his pocket, pulling out a few Silver Shu coins.
"Here, it might not be much but this is everything I currently have right now."
He then handed out 7 Silver Shu towards the old man.
Suna just slightly looked at the hand which held the Shu coins and replied, batting an eye towards his hospitality as he turned his gaze back towards the gate's direction.
"Thank you, but there's no need to give me that much money.
Though I may be old, I'm still capable of earning a little bit of money from here and there without relying on anyone's pity.
Though, I do appreciate it. If fate leads us to meet again.
I'll spare you a life."
"?... A life?"
"..."
The old man went silent, leaving him to his own devices as they continued their walk.
Their walk seems a bit too slow, but after having had that conversation, Irkil doesn't force the money towards Suna any further. Instead, he returns it right in his pockets.
"Just call me, if you need any help. We'll be here at the West Gate during our night shift."
Soon, the two finally arrived at the lesser gate just opposite his station; meeting up with Urkil, he explained the Old man's situation.
Urkil having listened to his explanation, bumped his right fist into his left chest, bowing with deep respect.
"Thank you for your service, Oh great healer!"
Suna smiled slightly as he saw how the Mikoto Clan raised their warriors.
"Haa... What a waste... Tsk. Tsk. Tsk."
He whispered to himself as he entered the small passage leading to the other side of the walls.
As they walk through the narrow passage, with Irkil's guidance. Suna saw a bright light just at the end of the narrow path.
Suna raised his left hand right to his eyes to block off the incoming lights coming out from the other side. With the last step towards the Inner City of the Mikoto Clan, a bright light shone like stars, temporarily hindering his sense of sight.
Due to the blinding light, Suna was forced to close his eyes as he exited the tunnel and as soon as he opened his eyes once again. The guard greeted him with a cheery voice.
"Welcome to the En-Moyo District."
The place looks like a citadel, unlike when he first visited the place, where everything was completely lacking, but now it looks like it has already flourished over the past century.
"Truly worthy of being one of the 12 Great Clans."
