"Crimson sky?.." The dragon muttered with a hint of fear associated with malice."T..The vampire monarch sent his damned vassals?"
Seeing the silhouette of two human-like figures approaching, the flame dragon narrowed his eyes harshly, then hurriedly spoke.
"What are you two doing here, you have no reason to involve yourselves in our affairs."
Aiden said nothing completely ignoring the vessel of the flame god, rather his gaze was directed at Eren who was focusing his attention on the beast god's vessel.
'Eren von michælson, the monarch of witches?.. something feels very odd, he seems extremely weak compared to how he was during the era of chaos.'
"Hah... How foolish, we have no reason? The fact that you're in this very realm is more than enough reason to kill you. I thought the Monarch's told your deities to keep their playthings away from this realm." Cassie spoke with a scornful look as her gaze locked onto the dragon's figure.
The dragon sneered.
"Yet a monarch stole the relic of a god and used it on an accursed child no less, you should know better than to interfere, Cassie vladis elxandria."
The female vampire arched her brow at the mention of her name, however her look wasn't one of amusement, it was the questioning look of a murderer.
"A mere plaything of the gods dares to address me by my name?"
She let out a humourless laugh then spoke in a cold tone.
"How dare you sully the name of a noble with your revolting maw! That filthy tongue of yours, I'll be sure to rip it out."
"Crazy bitch, don't get cocky, if you interfere in this, then the agreement between the monarch and the gods will.."
Just before the golden dragon could complete his words, the sound of shattering glass resounded across the uninhabited land, followed by a huge gust of wind as the silhouette of two moving figures moved across the desolate land.
Nox and the vessel of the space god were engaged in a ghastly battle, using every attack at their arsenal.
From a distance it would seem as though the marionette of the space god was on the winning end, having not obtained a single scratch while the tenebrous child was bloodied and littered with several grotesque cuts.
But it couldn't have been more far from the truth, the vessel of the space god, while not obtaining a single scratch, was battered with several severe internal injuries.
Nox had dealt some damage to him using the monstrous impact of his attacks by utilizing the dragon arts of the forgotten era.
It was a lethal technique which the dragons used to damage opponents who had absolute defense from physical attack.
What mattered more wasn't the attack itself but rather the force behind it which could bypass the impenetrable protection of the opponent, however such attacks couldn't work on a dense layer of space.
But then if an attack such as that couldn't work on space then how was the tenebrous child dealing some actual damage to the vessel of the space god?
Nox had predicted such an outcome but yet he still opted for the dragon arts, abandoning his weapons for his fists.
Using the dragon arts with his monstrous dexterity and impeccable attack rhythm, he was able to attack the marionette of the space god multiple times by striking the same positions repeatedly while using the impact of his attacks in a seemingly futile attempt to deal some damage.
Then again, was it actually a futile effort on Nox's end?
No! The tenebrous child had predicted it. However what he was aiming for was to disrupt the flow of the mana from the infinite space...
..And make the marionette of the space god experience a mana reflux.
Cassie stared at the outrageous battle with evident surprise, the same could be said for arkanol.
"J.. Just how is that accursed child keeping up with nolden? And that's dragon art... Did he already learn the battle art of that damned fiend?" The Golden Dragon couldn't help but stutter.
Cassie seemed to have noticed the taut expression of the nervous dragon, her seductive lip curled up into a smile.
"Oh.. what child can instill so much fear into the so-called-wrath of the roaring flames? There's a lot more to what meets the eyes here."
"YOU DAMNED SPELLCASTER, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!" The dragon roared with fury, rushing towards the eccentric wizard with a fist full of flames.
Before he could move five steps towards Eren, an ominous buster sword slammed into his side, sending him flying with a large thud.
The dragon positioned himself carefully, reverting back to his humanoid form before staring at the female vampire—who was swinging her buster sword like a bat, in outrage.
"Hmm, I should really start handling Helah with more care" she muttered with a taunting smirk eyeing her ominous buster sword with a lazy look. "Isn't that right you little cutie ~"
As if responding to her words, her sword pulsed slightly before glowing a faint crimson.
Arkanol scowled.
"Fine! If you Insist on staying then I'll have no choice but to reduce you to ashes.
Cassie couldn't help but smile at the dragon's words, however it wasn't a warm smile, rather it was one with cold contempt and mockery.
"Hah! This small fry is looking down on me, eh? Fine then, I'll remind you of your place, vermin."
On the other side, Aiden was barreling an array of blood swords at the vessel of the beast god, while Eren was focused on the elven mage.
The male vampire glanced at the eccentric spellcaster suspiciously.
Considering his words carefully he dared to ask.
"Forgive me if my question comes off as rude, but aren't you supposed to be in the Aurelius fog mountain, leading your people? What is the monarch of the witches doing here in a remote village."
The eccentric wizard chuckled.
"I could ask you the same, isn't the vampire monarch's Fang supposed to be by his side?"
"My lord does not require my presence, as my services are currently needed elsewhere."
"Hmm, isn't playing spy beneath you a Duke of the vampiredom?"
"Titles are naught but formalities, my Lord's orders are absolute and must be followed without question."
"Haha, such blind loyalty, well, what's so important that he had to send his aide and the captain of the crimson fang out in pursuit of?"
Aiden narrowed his eyes coldly and regarded the eccentric wizard for a short while, then said.
"I never once mentioned we were in pursuit of something, but seeing how you brought it up, it seems you already have an inkling about our reasons for being here."
The eccentric wizard exhaled slowly, while flicking his fingers and sending orbs of destructive mana towards the already exhausted elven mage.
"Well I suppose I do."
He lingered for a short while before speaking in a lazy but menacing tone.
"If you're after Aurelia's child I suggest you go back now. Don't misunderstand, but if I send him to the vampire kingdom, his already messed up mind will become worse, that child at this point thinks of nothing but revenge, so what do you think he'll grow up to be if he stays in a place where he'd be loathed for partially being a lycan?"
Aiden tried to retort but he couldn't refute the word's of the eccentric spellcaster, there was no way Nox could actually live amongst the vampires while also being a descendant of the lycanthrope race, even if he was part vampire, that alone couldn't guarantee him a pleasant stay without any problems.
"Hah! This sure is infuriating, you still have the leisure to converse so freely despite battling us, we must have looked to you like some sort of joke, although I never imagined that the vampire monarch's Fang would be here."The vessel of the beast god uttered in a tone filled with contempt.
His body was littered with several crimson blades made out of blood, which continually absorbed his, increasing in size while weakening him, just as Aiden willed it.
The marionette of the beast god glanced at the elven mage then growled lowly as his body began turning beastly.
"Go all out, it doesn't matter if we use some extra authority, but make sure none of them leave here alive."
