Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: My New First Club

"Small good deeds generate positive returns… how comforting." Kentaro sat on his bed, happy with his first conquest in the twilight love system.

[Day 4, 8:00 AM, (Monday) In the courtyard of Kuoh Academy]

Two days had passed since Kentaro's little encounter with Rias in his room, and this past Sunday… he had decided to return to the real world so that he could finish his project, which had been delayed by his absence from home.

[Sunday Flashback | Yesterday.]

"You son of a bitch, we almost lost our client's trust!" Lingling shouts in an irritated tone as he pulls Kentaro's ear for the slip-up.

Lingling's glasses ended up falling to the ground because of the fury he felt, and this broke one of the lenses, causing a loss of his own that he would have to pay for the repair the same day.

"Why did you decide to fall so early glasses… fuck off." Lingling cried, picking up the glasses from the floor and holding them with both hands while Kentaro laughed at him.

However, in the DxD world, he was walking alone across the courtyard of the Kuoh academy, heading towards the main entrance where all the students were walking around various corners with their respective academic obligations.

About halfway there, Rias appeared walking towards Kentaro so that he could greet him just by looking into his eyes and nodding his head in the direction of the academy entrance.

Some of the students who were walking around the campus graciously observed Rias' presence, impressed at how she fit all the possible requirements of a perfect and exemplary student.

As for Kentaro, he walked beside her with a normal expression and simultaneously reflected on how he had accidentally managed to take away his mother's worry in the real world.

[Flashback to Thursday | Last week.]

"Mom, I'll be traveling with Ling tomorrow for business... so I won't be able to take any calls or messages for five days, I'll get back to you soon with news." Said the message written on his cell phone, sent to his mother without delay in the bathroom.

This trip was planned two hours after they left the bar they were in, since the commissions they received from customers weren't that high... so this trip would give them customers with higher commissions for a few days, and then they would return to their hometown.

Kentaro had only planned to organize his travel things the next day after that message. However, after a night's sleep, he was prevented from leaving because he fell into a kind of coma and was teleported to the DxD Universe, without anyone in the real world knowing about it yet. His mother, for her part, didn't worry about his absence, believing that he had already traveled.

[Day 4, 8:20 AM, (Monday) Kuoh Academy Main Interior]

"Rias ended up meeting someone I don't know, but my focus is different." He reflected as he walked to the staircase that would take him to his classroom.

His focus was on trying to find Akeno Himejima in his classroom... since she hadn't been there to greet him for a few days, and she was always very receptive to those close to her king.

Minutes pass, and he ends up at the door of her classroom. He enters with a clear conscience and surveys the whole place to find out where Akeno is... and quickly finds her at the back.

"There it is!" He finds her successfully and walks over to the desk where he first sat down... but he discovers something unusual.

Akeno was sitting at the same desk where Yuuma sat while she slept in the middle of class, and this makes him have brief memories of when he first saw her and when he acquired access to Boosted Gear.

He ends up approaching her and sits down at her desk without saying a word at the moment, as this memory has messed with his psyche a little.

Akeno ends up fiddling with her hair, and she realizes that someone has sat down next to her, and it's Kentaro Hyoudou, quietly watching the board on his desk.

"Hmm…" Akeno thought, observing Kentaro's face with a scrutinizing gaze, without him realizing that he was having his eyes crossed by her.

When Akeno tried to understand his current feelings, she ended up getting up quietly and leaving the classroom without giving the others an answer.

Kentaro, for his part, watched her leave without saying anything and wondered where she was going and if she would ever return to the classroom again.

However, while he was watching the exit door… his cell phone started ringing in his pocket and he quickly tried to pick it up to see.

_________

Kentaro Hyoudou.

This is a reminder e-mail regarding your renewal of payment to the Kuoh Academy. The Hyoudou Family has finally made the monthly payment for your stay on our campus, and you will continue to have your name registered in our institution's system.

I hope that you will be able to make good use of our educational space and have a great time studying, dear university student.

Sincerely, Principal Zeoticus Gremory.

_________

Kentaro's expression is one of immense surprise, as he realizes that the email was from Rias Gremory's father.

"I hope he doesn't know I slept with his daughter, God rest my soul." Kentaro reflected, his eyebrows twitching, wondering if her father knew what had happened in that incident.

Kentaro ended up accidentally saying the word "God" in a divine and pure context, and this caused him to get a severe headache.

"Ahh! What the fuck… I can't say that word anymore!" Kentaro agonizes, placing both hands on his head, calming the pain he is feeling as he wraps his arms around the divine and pure God.

The scene ends with Akeno walking up to an abandoned building outside the school… and on top of that building, a small group of students who were part of the Occult Studies Club.
