# One
Begins now
-----------------------------------
In a dark apartment where daylight doesn't reach and the FBI has no access, a middle-aged man of 40, who would surely be arrested for harassment just by walking down the street even if he did nothing, works as a streamer.
"Come on, you noobs, I'll show you the power of the Great Virgin Mage!" Dave shouted to his viewers during his live stream, which he used to support his life.
Soon the comment section started rolling, greeting and insulting Dave, calling him shameless, making him smile. "No need to praise me, folks. Anyway, today we're doing a 36-hour speedrun to complete Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Sekiro without dying once and completing all side quests. Those with weak stomachs, feel free to leave the stream!" Dave declared with a smile, and the comment section exploded once again with insults calling him a bum and a slacker, but Dave just smiled, knowing it was his fans' way of motivating him.
This has been Dave's life for the past 25 years. Dave was once a normal, intelligent, and well-endowed child who dreamed of starting a business and building a good family, but everything changed the day he first walked into an arcade.
Dave was drawn to that fascinating world of digital games that challenged his mind and skills like an alcoholic to a bottle of wine, and this persisted for the next 25 years.
His social skills were completely erased, preventing him from having a girlfriend. His family and close friends distanced themselves from him as a bad example.
Most people would think they were at rock bottom in this situation, but Dave was very good at one thing since he was young: adapting. He adapted to living alone, earning money from games, and staying awake for more than 44 hours straight playing nonstop.
Unfortunately, today was the last time Dave did something so insane.
36 hours later.
"I did it." Dave's voice sounded weak due to dehydration and accumulated fatigue, but his computer screen showed the final screen of Sekiro, proving he completed the challenge. "Damn, that almost killed me." Dave thought and decided to end the stream at that moment and go to sleep.
"Guys, thank you so much for sticking with me until now. I'll sleep a bit and be back so we can fight for the top spot in League of Legends." Dave spoke sleepily and turned off the stream while his followers' comments wished him a good rest.
"How strange, my vision is blurrier than usual." This was Dave's last thought before he fell to the floor dead, cause of death: cardiac arrest and brain death due to frequent use of energy drinks and medications to stay awake.
But luckily for him, fate had other plans.

**1st Person POV**
So this is death, an immeasurable void surrounding you from all sides, awaiting your end.
"Hello!!!"
There were so many things I wanted to do in life, so many games to complete, it's a shame it ended like this.
"Sir, please wake up."
See, even in this immense and deep void, I can hear the voice of a woman I never had calling me, truly lamentable, wait a minute.
Feeling something was strange, Dave quickly opened his eyes and observed his surroundings, realizing he was in an infinite sea of clouds. "Aren't I in the infinite void awaiting my end?" He spoke to himself, and before he could think more, a sweet female voice once again resounded in his ear.
"Don't worry, Hero, I rescued your soul from the Infinite Abyss so you could help me!" Dave slowly looked back and saw a sight he would never forget, a beautiful woman with rainbow-colored hair and several times his size standing there looking at him with a charming smile.
"So my destiny to become an isekai protagonist has finally arrived." Dave said to himself with a wicked smile that sent shivers down the Goddess's spine.
"Hero, are you okay??" The Goddess asked, worried that the soul she brought might have been damaged by the void, but immediately regretted her concerns.
"Please marry me!" Dave's soul, which was a third the size of the Goddess, suddenly jumped on her like a wild animal, scaring the poor Goddess.
"I REFUSE!" The Goddess, frightened by Dave's behavior, shouted before slapping him while he was still in the air.
BAM!
The sound of the slap was heard, and Dave was sent flying over the clouds while his soul trembled fiercely from the impact. "AH, Hero!" The Goddess, realizing she might have hit too hard, quickly caught Dave's soul and shook him, trying to wake him up.
"Please don't disappear, Hero!" She said with tears in her eyes, but all she could hear from Dave's soul was, "Ah, this is happiness, being hit by such a beautiful woman. This must be paradise." Dave exclaimed with a flushed face, making the Goddess slowly put him on the ground and let out a long sigh.
"Did I get the wrong person? Isn't this the Great Mage said to have defeated demi-gods and powerful demons to save the world?" The Goddess exclaimed worriedly, but as if her words brought Dave back to reality, he quickly responded while completely changing his attitude.
"You didn't get the wrong guy. I am indeed called the Great Mage, but the achievements you mentioned, I only accomplished them in games, not in reality." Dave explained, regaining his composure before sitting properly in front of the Goddess like a normal person, his aura changing completely.
"In games? What do you mean by that, and why did your personality change so much?" The Goddess asked, confused, and Dave gave her a clearly suspicious middle-aged man's smile.
