Her welcoming smile made me even nervous as Jayson walked away... I watched him leave and each step he takes makes my heart beat louder
I clutched onto my expensive bag... Well not mine though but still I clutched onto it like my whole existence depends on it...beads of sweat forms on my forehead as I struggled to breathe properly
Why does this place suddenly lack air ventilation?...
"Jayson has told me so much about you....you look atonishing!" She said and I chuckled lightly... even though I was hoping for the ground to split into two and swallow me whole
"He has?... that's so cool" I said and I mentally scolded myself... what am I saying?
I'm on a mission and I didn't rehearse before coming....I don't know one thing about Jayson.....I do know for a fact that's extremely rude and egocentric!
"So tell me.....how did you two meet?" She asked and I smiled brightly
Just say something Jasmine!.....but what if she later asked him that same question?... and our answers turn out different...oh man I'm toast!
"Well, it's actually a funny story" I trailed with a laugh and she nods lightly...her eyes on me not breaking eye contact even for a minute
"I would love to hear it" she said as she snapped her fingers and two of her maids hurriedly brought drinks....I gasped at the power and command
"Well, on my home.....my car got spoilt and I just happened to see him and he helped me..... and from there we started talking and that's it.....we became really close and we started dating" I said and she furrows her eyebrows for a second before smiling
"Jayson helped you?... that's new and I think I'm impressed?" She said and I almost sighed out loudly
"Ohh....he is a really good guy and we've been really happy together.....I love him so much and I would love to spend the rest of my life with him" I said before I could stop myself...was I being too forward?.....damn!
"Wow!..... I'm shocked, so for how long have been being dating my son?" She asked and I smiled..... God!, I'm dying!
"We've been together for like a year now" I said before I could stop myself...ohhh Jasmine!.....a year?.....I don't even know what life he's been living and I'm bragging about us being together for a year?..... shît!!
"A year?.....hmmmm..... alright, I'm sure my son loves you too" she said and I nod virgoursly as she sips from the drink "go ahead and drink with me" she said and I chuckled nervously
My hands were slightly shaking but I managed to take the drink without spilling it all over myself
I'm so uncomfortable and Jayson is no where to be found
Did he intentionally leave me here to avoid his mother's questions?, That sick piece of shît!... I'm definitely going to get him for this
"So what's Jayson's favorite food?" She suddenly threw the question at me and I felt numbed for a while
Oh my God!, What!?
I don't even know anything about him, damnit, I should have asked questions before coming here and he didn't even bother to tell me
Maybe he wants it to look natural but what the fúck is natural about me being stressed!
"He hates great food and prefers junks.....he thinks great food will make him lose shape" I blurted out and she opened her mouth slightly but closed it immediately
Was I right!?...he prefers sweets to cooked food?.....oh my, please tell me I'm dreaming?
"He sure does hate great food... right from when he was very, very young" she said with a hint of shock but not as shocked as me
How did I even guess this correctly?
I smiled brightly trying to cover up my shock
"What's his favorite color?" She asked again and I gulped
He's always on black.... even the first day I met him, he was putting on black and almost all the designs in his penthouse are black
"Black..... he's a freak....a good freak" I said jokingly and she nods with a smile
Jasmine you are on fire today!!!!
"What's his favorite flower?" She asked and my mind drifted to the rose tattoo on his neck...my favorite flower is also rose
I love them so much..... it's all over my small room where I stay... I'm obsessed with that flower
"Rose... they're my favorite too" I said and she pulled me in for a hug...I was shocked but I slowly reciprocated
"You know my son so well.....oh my, I'm happy!" She goshed as she pulled away and I beamed with a bright smile
Agressive clicking of heels interupted our little moment as a young girl walked in.....her cross bag hanging around her as she looks down at me with a frown
"Gina you are back.....meet Jayson's...." Jayson's mother was still saying as she rolled her eyes and walked away
My lips parted slightly as I couldn't look away from her retreating figure
"That's Gina, Jayson's younger sister..... she's just having a bad day" she said and I faked a smile
She doesn't look like she's having a bad day... rather she looks like I'm the one that's making her have a bad day
A pair of soft hands broke my thoughts as I looked at her...she was smiling calmly
Did I just succeed in fooling this woman?
"Well I can't wait for you both to get married.... finally I can hand over everything to Jayson without any single fear" she said and I smiled brightly
I'm definitely going to make a good actress..... maybe I should consider going into acting?..... don't you think?
"I also can't wait for us to get married..... I'm so in love with Jayson.....we should just speed things up already" I said and smriked inwardly while she smiles
"Jayson has to take over first before he gets married, now I'm convinced he has a bride to be" she said and I gasped dramatically while she hugs me again
My eyes trails and I spotted Jayson giving me a thumps up and I returned it

I walked to the balcony with a huge smile on my face...I just witnessed Jasmine in action and man, is she good?
She answered the questions perfectly and that got me wondering
How did she know the kind of food I like?
My favorite color or flower?
Okay I get she must have seen my tattoo but that doesn't necessarily mean my favorite flower could be rose?.....who is she exactly?
"Well, well, well... I'm impressed with your little friend, did you see the way she handled everything perfectly?... it's like you guys have known each other for years" Noah said and I rubbed my forehead
"I'm surprised, I never told her anything about me..... dude, do you think that she might be the Jasmine I thought I've lost years ago?" I asked and Noah sighed
"She doesn't look anything like the Jasmine we know, our Jasmine was chubby and ugly..... round faced and she eats like a pig" Noah said and I hit him slightly hard as I glared daggers at him
"Don't talk about the dead like that" I said and he raised his hand in defeat stepping back a little
"But dude, if she really is the Jasmine we know?.....then she's certainly changed alot... look at her!..... extremely pretty and s£xy... nothing like what we imagined" he said and I sighed
"If it were to be another girl, then she would have definitely been on my bed before now but I just can't think of doing anything to her and that brothers me alot" I said and he nods in agreement
"Yeah, that's true, you haven't made any passes at her..... and thinking about it now makes me cringe" he said as he shivers dramatically and I glared at him playfully
"But if she were truly Jasmine, how comes she doesn't know anything about you?...she obviously sees you as a total stranger" he said and I stroked my chin thoughtfully
He's right on this one
"Maybe I'm just over thinking this... There's no way anyone can rise up from the dead, Jasmine is gone for good" I sad with a sober face and Noah taps my shoulder
"But look on the bright side, this Jasmine totally aced her mission, she killed it and now your mom won't suspect a thing and even though she later finds out?.....you would have taken over everything by then" he said and I smiled
"Yeah, she's a keeper" I said and something fell on the floor from the outrance
I furrows my eyes as I walked towards it and poked my head but I didn't see anything
"There's no one there" Noah said and I shrugged my shoulders as I walked out fully.....he followed me immediately

I met my mom and Jasmine outside already as they held each other's hand, damn, they've really boned than I expected
"Mom" I called and she smiles brightly
"I have been so proud of you, you found the perfect girl to settle down with!" She said excitedly and Jasmine smiled as well, she's really good at faking
"Well, my father didn't settle for less, why would I?, I'm my father's son after all" I said and she gave me a side hug
"You are so right!, I'm so proud of you and I can't wait for you both to build a family of your own" she said and I smiled
Jasmine walked to my side as she takes my hands
"Shouldn't we be on our way now, babe?" She said with grethed teeth and I felt her grip tightened on my middle arm at the mention of "babe", she's definitely angry at me for leaving her all alone
"Yeah, we should be on our way now mom" I said and she smiles
"Ofcourse, I had a really nice time with my soon to be daughter in-law" she said and I smiled
"It's nice meeting you mother" Jasmine said as we all shared a hug before walking into the car
We got in and waved till we were out and I sighed
"You púnk!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jasmine suddenly yells as she hits my chest, she was heaving heavily as she glared daggers at me
I shifted backwards a little as I rubbed my chest....a chuckle could be heard from Noah and I know he's trying really hard not to laugh
"Why did you hit me!?" I asked and she rolled her eyes
"You left me all alone with your mom!, And you know I have no idea on what questions she was going to ask!" She bursted out angrily and I scoffed
"Exactly why I left....we didn't practice before coming and I completely forgot, so instead of flopping I decided it will be best if you are alone with her, so she wouldn't suspect a thing!" I snapped and her gaze softens almost immediately as she sat back slowly
"I'm sorry" she mutters and I smiled
"But to be honest, you were really good in there, I never knew you had it in you" I said with a chuckle and she smiles a little... sitting up gently
"I was super nervous.....I didn't know what to do at first but turns out I'm really good at acting.... that's superb" she said and I smiled... she has a beautiful smile
"You've got great acting skills, you should put them into action" I said with a small laugh
"I know right?" She also said and we both laughed out as we subconsciously touched each other...it took a while for us to realize our hands were touching and she slowly pulled her hands away
I cleared my throat akwardly as she tucks her hair behind her ears.....a beautiful smile still plastered on her face...her big brown orbs glistening directly at mine
"As promised, here you go" I said as I handed her a clean cheque and she gasped a little before taking it
Looking at it as if she's dreaming
"Thanks" she muttered and I smiled brightly..... she really made me proud today

I hopped off the car as I stood straight....he poked his head a little with a smile
"So this is where you live?" He asked and I shook my head
"Nah, my friend stays here, I will just hang out for a while before going back home" I said and he nods
"Okay then, bye" he said as he sat back and they drove off
I exhaled deeply as i can now breathe properly
I looked at the cheque and my tommy flutter in happiness, gosh!, this is totally worth it
"Bîtch!, where have you been!?, And who just dropped you off!?" Mika's voice interupts as I spuned around.....she grabbed me and hugs me tightly till I could barely breathe
"I'm fine!, Just went on a little adventure" I said and she furrows her eyebrows as we walked in...I flopped on the couch as she stared at me questioningly
"You can't just disappear and suddenly return without any valid explanation?, Who was that guy?, I couldn't see him clearly but I know a cute guy when I see one" she said and I frowned
"That's Jayson Bartel" I said and she gasped
"Wait, the same Jayson Bartel you swore never to come across?, The insanely cute guy that literally makes you wèt just by staring at you?, The most handsome man I've ever seen?, The...." She was saying when I cut her off
"Yes!, The Jayson you know!" I snapped irritatedly and she smiles
"Okay, start talking..... make sure you leave nothing out, I wanna hear the full gist!" she said and I smiled
It didn't take me up to ten minutes to explain everything to her and she stared at me in awe.....her mouth wide open as she tried to grasp everything
"Uncle Bob definitely is the most heartless person I've ever seen, how could he have done something like that?, What if Jayson hadn't given you that offer?" She said and I sighed
"Well, I'm done with everything, I'm moving out and I'm definitely not going to meet with Jayson or have anything to do with his family, ever again" I said and she smriks
"Don't be so sure about that yet, missy, his mom loves you" she said and I rolled my eyes
"Who cares?, It's only for a day and it's over, now if you would excuse me.....I need to hit the bathroom" I said as I stood up and started walking towards the bathroom
"You can't be so sure yet... you never know what destiny has in store for you" she said and I paused
"To hell with destiny, I'm done and I'm free!!!!!!" I yelled in excitement as she chased after me
Soon laugher filled the room as we threw pillows at ourselves

I walked in as I head straight for my room.....my comfort zone
I just finished signing the ownership slip and all that is left is for me to resume the office but my mom hasn't approved that yet
I sighed tiredly as I flopped on the bed
Finally things are getting interesting and now I'm the boss, well very soon
I never thought it would be this easy to fool my mom, I wasn't expecting Jasmine to pull it off
I was beyond impressed, but she did her part and I'm so glad that I could go back to my old life
"You have a breef presentation in five!!" Noah yells from the other side of the door and I groaned
I know I wanted to take over but damn!
It's just 2:00pm in the afternoon and I'm super tired.....
My mind drifted off to yesterday and I shook my head
I'm done with Jasmine and I wouldn't want to have anything to do with her
She's annoying and she gets on my nerves and I certainly can't stay in the same space with her or else things are going to get messy
I ruffled my hair as I entered the bathroom and was done within minutes, I got out with a towel on my waist as I whistled happily
I made to enter the closet when Noah barged into my room and I frowned
"Dude, I know we are both guys but please don't do that again" I said and he rolled his eyes
"We've got a big problem" he said and I frowned
"Will you quit being dramatic and tell me what happened?" I said and he scratched his head nervously
"It's all over the news, your mom just announced your wedding, you are getting married to Jasmine!" He said as he pointed the tablet at me and there it was
A fixed date and time for my wedding to Jasmine?
The tablet fell from my hands as it smashed into pieces... Noah kept pacing around as he was also in shock
"What!?" I semi yelled as I stared at no one in particular... allowing the shock surge through me completely
